Episode 9 was the heat of show but clearly that was the tease when episode 10 was the real fire.
I got pretty bitter when the flashbacks of Soo Min feelings for the cop came out. Why. Don't do this to us. He's headed towards the reporter. Stick to the synopsis. Falls for the drug lord.
Lee Jin Sook who is your "lover?" She has three men in her life. Safari directed our attention towards does Lee Jin Sook have feelings for Doc Son? I won't be surprised if she does but the question is what kind of affection and love does she have towards him?
Doc/Soo: Where do I start honestly. Their speed is so breathtaking. One minute it's this and one minute that. I'm surprised how fast Doc Son has been effected by Soo Min. Out of his character. Dude, you shouldnt have left the tip. Facepalm.
Zoo: I like how it represents that this is Soo Min new start. In this new start a trust has been formed with between Doc Son and Soo Min. He may have not given his heart earlier but giving his trust is equal to love and loyalty in his world.
Doc did you really fall for that easily? What is it about her that you let your guard down. I hope they show us how this attraction evolved especially in his point of view. Not sure about Soo Min she needs to let go of her past affections.
Safari: This can go either way. I want to believe he's bluffing, but with this show anything is possible.

Safari a man who we all can agree on is not trustworthy and is a scum turns out he has a sympathetic side to him. Like everyone else I wasn't going to fall for this "cop" card, but I kept my mind open because this is Heartless City.
Our police in charge seems like he has a different side to him. I knew it was too good to be true that from all the characters in this show and he was the only one with no complications. I'm in doubt.
The way Safari was accusing him and was having a hard time with his emotions it makes me think that he the police officer is playing some testing games and our Doc Son is the current lab test.
The word trust was all in my mind when I watched Doc Son. For the first time seeing him in such confusion and despair kind off ripped my heart. It was an emotional side to him. Who could he trust and can he? Everything around him was a lie. Yes, he is lying example himself but the people who he had an understanding with him broke him.
He has given his trust to Soo Min and despite all his agony he went to see her in the end. I thought really he wouldn't go. I had no hopes she would get a chance to speak to him. I don't blame the guy. His emotional condition is not so stable. He cares for her but he is Doc Son I think he himself doesn't know who is he. The police officer asked him are you a monster? Are you like Safari? It makes me wonder and has made us wonder in the previous episodes in the past 8 years has Doc Son accepted his second life?
Soo Min can either destroy him or redeem him. He goes to her even when he's at his worst position. She questions him correctly without knowing him at all. She draws him maybe because she always guesses him right.
I hope her caring for Doc is genuine because it affects him highly when she asks about him and his scars. He feels cared for.
It was a great episode! I was really cringing in my seat especially with Director Jo. That little punk. I swear his death will be sweet. I liked Doc Son expression when he first saw him "That's him, I have to deal with this kid?"

Definitely the drought for 2013 is over. I would say the drought for many years. This not only is my favorite drama of the year, but my all time now.

This episode mainly involved to finding out who is behind Pusan and a new character was introduced who had something to do with Pusan.
Did we miss something or we got trolled? Doc and Director Min are okay now? What happened to the whole ending of episode 14 and beginning of this episode when Doc was shattered. When Hyung Min started to suspect Director Min I was like okay we're getting somewhere because Director Min got nervous and he makes a phone call and I was so sure he was calling someone who he worked under or with but it was Doc. I was at a total what the heck moment. Either they put their differences aside or they're just hanging on.
So now Director Min is the good guy again? Then again the whole conversation between him and Lee Jin Sook that must represent something when she said "I know you. You use whatever you can." I'm still not 100% convinced with Director Min.
Either I was hoping for such a scene or I knew the way Doc will discover Soo Min identity is if she quotes Docs words "the world is like a mirror.." I was surprised by Doc Son reaction he looked like he was about to faint with emotions. He couldn't handle himself. Shocked because she is related to Gyung Mi? She's an undercover? I can't place my fingers on what was it that broke him.
That goodbye was so sad and beautiful at the same time because Doc admitted it would be hard for him if she stayed I'm thinking it wasn't his confession it was she's a block in his way. I loved how she called him by all those names and yet she wasn't aware of one. Her favour was for him not to get hurt and you can see clearly that touched a soft side.
What is about a emotional Doc Son that rips your heart. In the beginning. With Soo Min. Then with Scale. Doc is going to lose it with all that despair. What an exceptional actor.
Oh lord Scale. I knew something was headed your way, but I did not expect that reaction out of Doc Son. I guess even though he worked under him and he mistreated him he may still had some respect for him. I really like this Scale and Doc duo even though Scale had no choice but he was such great part of Heartless City from episode 1. I can't believe Scale is gone. Ah, my feelings!
The only time Doc ever looked so lethal and dangerous was when he was overlooking Soo Min and Hyung Min and now the end of this episode the way he was slowly revealing himself goosebumps. Deja Vu.
It was a great episode! I didn't feel like it was slow or a filler. It was an episode that was building up for the next stage.

I'm highly annoyed with the police chief. What exactly is he doing. When Doc asked him about if Hyeong Min had an undercover he lied. He then told Lee Jin Sook Doc killed Gyung Mi.
He has everyone in his hands. He clearly is setting up for everyone to screw up.
A fine scene was directed when Chairman Jo was calling who "?" is. I liked how it showed everyone who mattered to Doc Son.
Whenever Doc goes out on the battle field I panic because from the first episode it showed a clear high sign that death might be in his route.
I like how brave he is and how he protects the ones he loves. He isn't like Safari he is a good police man and yet the police chief is playing games with him.
Oh how I loved the scene where both Soo and Doc coordinated and fought. I loved that Soo fought shows her training paid off. Either that was look of "she can fight?" or "let's get the hell out of here!" Doc was giving.
Either it was the perfect time or worst timing for Soo to admit her feelings for Doc or the emotions lacked when she confessed. It's hard to read Doc's expressions but he didn't look pleased.
One thing I question is to what extend does Doc care for Soo. We know there is an attraction, but in the episode when his bodyguard or driver was with his female who is also happens to be Soo friend he wasn't pleased for them to meet like that. He warned him not to see her again. Doc knows the difference between professionalism and pleasure or that could have been a scene to represent that Doc himself will break the rules for Soo.
So that means Doc will personally protect Soo now? My heart stopped when Chairman Jo called I thought oh boy he's going to say what we all didn't want to hear about Doc being killed, but it was a warning for Soo. At the point Doc looked extremely pissed and worried. I'm anticipating to how it will go from now on.
Overall another episode that has left me flabbergasted. The last portion of every episode in this series is too much to handle. It's jammed packed, so at the end you're left with no words to form!
P.S under whatever circumstances I'm digging Doc Son and Scale duo.

The last two episodes are always so crucial and I trusted Heartless City to do justice and did it deliver or what.
Director Min maybe got betrayed once in his life and now he thinks everyone is out to betray him. He uses the word betrayal a little too much. You put everyone in a position where they have no choice not to follow your orders but that doesn't mean it's betrayal it's called self conscious.
Some scenes were so emotionally beautiful. Lee Jin Sook tore my heart. She knew she couldn't be the one, but she never thought someone else could be Doc's. Safari, why just why. For such a short time we saw this affectionate side of Safari and sadly it ended this way. With a genre like this death is inevitable.
Really well executed scene in the amusement park. I got surprised when Doc pulled out the gun I got so excited. I knew Doc wasn't going to die or anything especially in the episode but at that point when he froze everything just came crumbling down I skyrocketed out my seat I was like "COME BACK TO YOUR SENSES!"
Doc/Soo Min interaction was so genuine. Small gestures of comfort and healing were somewhat painful to watch because we don't know what will their future beholds.

So, Safari knew all along about Doc Son identity and I suppose that's the reason he was so cruel on him. Director Min. I still can't place my finger on him. He had the chance to finish Safari but he didn't.
The first scene with Doc and Soo Min was beautiful. That was a mini surprise to actually see him the house. He wanted to reach out, but in the end the way Doc loves is by protecting.
Safari is the only one who questions LJK about her relationship with Doc and in this episode she was pretty clear how she feels about him. Also, Soo decided to let this curiosity roam and question LJK about the same matter and the expression Doc had. We need answers.
Soo and Lee Jin Sook? Now this is would be an interesting couple.
I am enjoying Hyung Min and Doc duo. I really liked how Hyung Min had those flashbacks and saw that Doc didn't betray him.
The cliffhanger. This drama is so consist with it's cliffhangers they leave you with emotional scars. I was so not expecting the sniper situation to have a comeback. I really liked how Soo Min put a gun on Charmian Jo and knocked him out.

Let's start from the end. For me personally, the fact that Doc Son finding out about Soo Min wasn't the reason my heart was pounding like crazy it was Doc Son himself. The way he stood and overlooking them he looked lethal and dangerous. He had a scary aura to him at the point.
I know he's not going to do anything to Soo Min. That was my first thought, but go back to episode 1 and to that undercover whom Doc Son personally finished off. Of course he won't do that to Soo Min since he has feelings for her, but would he have finished her off if he didn't have feelings for her?
Or is he at the point where he simply felt betrayed? He probably thought he finally has one person in his life that wasn't so connected to his world.
Doc Son at the point looked capable of taking down Pusan organization and evening being the drug king.
Doc Son has always been a good undercover even though he has made friendships in his second life and has somewhat maybe accepted his second life he still follows his orders.
The police chief so he wanted Gyung Mi to die? Wasn't it enough the 8 years Doc Son has done for you then you try a way to pump him up and finish god knows what you have going on in your mind.
I say screw everyone and become the drug lord Doc Son.
After watching the first episode and seeing that our main lead is the antagonist I wanted it to stay that way. Doc Son is much suited to be in the drug business then the police.
This episode was a mini war. Next episode were going to the next level.
When will Lee Jin Sook understand Safari. She needs to stop doing reckless things on her own.
From the preview seems like Soo is still alive. Thank god. Never know with that guy.
It was action packed episode. It was an over the top amazing episode.
I like how Soo Min stood up for herself. He hurt her and she hurt him right back where it hurts. We needed to see that side of Soo Min and her being courageous and going up with Director Jo was praiseworthy.

The cliffhangers of this drama are not what leave us awestruck but it's what builds up to the cliffhanger. The last section of every episode in this drama dramatically paces up and you don't even have time to adjust what just happened so when the episode finishes you're like whaaa? What just happened.
I'm not surprised if Doc Son goes on the dark side. When this drama started and we discovered he is an undercover a lot of people were like no we wan't him to be the drug lord and I was one of those people, but because he is Doc Son he isn't going to go bad at the moment he feels betrayed and confused.
When the police chief and Safari are in any conversation with Doc I'm expecting some lies to come forward. Safari says Chairman Jo killed Gyung Mi. It could be, but I couldn't help but face palm.
I know if Chairman Jo threatened anyone Doc loves he would have done exactly what he tried to do in this episode for Soo, but why do I feel like because Soo was on Chairman Jo hitless he took the bigger risk. Yes, Doc went to Safari alone trying to save Soo and now he did the same with Soo Min, but I felt like he was more impatient and frustrated trying to save Soo Min.
It doesn't seem unrealistic that Soo already loves Doc because he has aided her more then anyone else. In this new world she has entered she trusts him the most. Whenever he was in need of aid whether he needed it or not she saw his scars. So I really liked the scene where she broke down and said what would she do without him.
These little scenes of Soo Min and Doc are breathtaking. I like how he wants to like her but from afar. He comes to meet her, but to see and go. Sometimes I think when Doc is in pain maybe he wants to go to her not sure of emotionally but physically yeah because she has seen his scars. Whenever he gets hurt I always have this hope he might go to her.
At this point everyone's emotions are at high stack. Anything is possible. Doc Son is at a lethal position. He is capable of anything and everyone. He gave me the chills in the end.
All I could worry about in the preview was please don't let Scale die. I have become fond of him. He fits well on Doc Son team.

Yeah, I know fun and Heartless City don't really mesh in the same category but I couldn't help myself.
This episode was dedicated to girl power. A great deal had to do with Lee Jin Sook and Soo Min coordination this episode. The way those two walked side by side carrying power and determination looking for Professor Jang. At the end when Soo Min and Lee Jin Sook had that nod and Soo Min came to rescue Lee Jin Sook I loved that segment with them both fighting. Great pairing!
Soo Min was great! This episode she showed strength and courage. She did not flinch in front of Soo. She fought off guys. She ran in her heels like always. She needs some sort of an award for running in those things.
Personally I didn't like it that Lee Jin Sook took Soo Min to Doc "place" because that's his place. That's where Doc Son is Doc Son. His personal getaway. It saddens me how much Lee Jin Sook blindly trusts Soo. I know Soo has good feelings towards Lee Jin Sook but at the end of the day she is the undercover.
I applaud Hyung Min. I loved him in this episode because he decided to open his eyes. I really never liked him this much as I did in this episode. It was sad because all along he was determined to find the wrong person when he could have been looking in a different direction.
I love these little light scenes with Soo-Lee Jin Sook. This show never loses it's seriousness that's what's so great about it. It's consistent, but the little comedic scenes like Soo saying chignon bring a smile to your face. On that note Hyung Min and Prosecutor Ahn interactions are pretty amusing.
Oh Lee Jin Sook please survive! I hope Soo ends up staying and helping her. I don't want anything to happen to her. She is the third musketeer to Soo and Doc.
The way Lee Jin Sook trusts Soo I thought she was going to say Doc but she said Shi Hyun. I'm not sure where this is leading. Either Soo will connect the dots or she will question Doc himself to why he lied and etc.
Sigh. Director Min. Our Doc is not taking anything from Director Min anymore he is doing everything according to him. What is it about Direcotor Min. Why does he want to control everything and everyone. Now that Doc doesn't follow his "orders" he's going to destroy him? That gesture of breaking the pencil might have been small but it represent something really huge.

This show is very strong in sense of hitting your emotions, which make it the best thing to watch or a misery because at times it can get emotionally frustrating.
I loved this episode from every aspect! I didn't think that the last episode would turn out to be one of my favourites.
Soo. I guess the writers gave us proof he didn't have nine lives. You were always so reckless that I can't say I didn't see this coming. Doc has very strong relationships around him and even though Soo was broken I had hope. The way Soo went in by himself he knew he was going to die and a part of him wanted that because he thought he was a burden to Doc. He was trying to ease Doc's pain. This was his sacrifice because he thought their friendship was getting in the way of him living as a cop.
Lee Jin Sook is my absolute addiction. These last two episodes were the emotional side of her. Losing a man she can never had and losing a man that could have been hers. Her confrontation with Soo well emotional everything in the last episodes was connected to emotions and feelings. They both were hurt equally and I'm glad Soo has someone to look up to and LJK has someone to comfort towards. They are supporting each other from now on.
That scene of Soo imagining Doc can we just say how beautifully executed that was. Pulled the strongest string in your heart. Doc never learned how to love properly, but he loved Soo Min and he showed that by protecting her and that's the only way he knows how to love.
This was Doc Son's path. He could have only gone deeper, but he couldn't have gone back. He could have gone rogue. Doc has the potential to be very lethal and dangerous. He could have wiped out everything that came his way, but in the end he still tried to do the right thing. Doc deserves happiness and it starts within. The ending is very clear. He is alive. The colour of his suit changed maybe he can finally be in peace now.
I still can't digest this show is over. I had such routine and habit of watching the episodes. It's going to be hard to let go. Best drama I have ever watched. It executed amazingly from the first minute to the last. Thank you!

With only couple of episodes left to see Lee Jin Sook and Soo like that all I was chanting "please don't die."
I really like the Doc and Hyung Min duo. They're an unusual team, but their coordination is very well.
The action is such a treat to watch because it's executed so nicely. They try to show us different methods of fights which I really like.
At the same time very irritated with Hyung Min. Why is he talking in a maze and just confront Soo Min and explain Doc Son isn't the killer. Now she's on this killing rampage.
"He's my lover." I had a feeling that sentence would make a comeback. From the discovery to Shi Hyun might have been playing her to discovering he is Doc Son this will not end well.
In this episode I saw a lot of everyone is out to screw someone. Hyung Min dad is playing Safari and Doc Son. Director Min, I still can't place my finger on him but Hyung Min father is trying to put him down for some reason.
Everything started with Gyung Mi death and it will end that way also, unless the writers try to pull a shocker on us and we get a happy ending.
It was an excellent episode, but I was so worried throughout because we were this close to losing Lee Jin Sook and Soo.

I look at this Doc Son and then I look at another Doc Son from ending of episode 14 and on.
Doc Son is well thought out processed character. Hats off to the writers.
