Considering myself obsessed with to many shows and series from all around the globe.

My journey in the asian drama world started off 2005-ish. Pre Youtube. I was searching for the Sailor Moon Live Action Series. It looked completly bonkers. I. Had. To. Find. It. 

And so I stumbled across a blog where you could download (pre-streaming) short fanvideos made by the blogger (I guess).  I  accidentally downloaded two wrong files: short videos of Sweet 18 and Save the Last Dance for Me, which marks my first contact with korean shows (both full of drama tropes, as I realized later on in my journey, no offense). Sweet 18 became the first drama I watched.

My first japanese drama was Hana Yori Dango. And I still like it. A lot. It is empowering. Something I missed dearly in a lot of other series. Sidenote: I managed to find "Sailor Moon". And it was everything. Not because it was good. It was trashy but had heart and actually a good storyline. But nonetheless bonkers. 

Well and there I was, in a rabbit hole (you all know the drill). I clicked on Devil beside you - my first taiwanese drama -, dipped my feet into chinese period shows: Scarlet Heart (shortly followed by Palace: The Lock Heart Jade - and that is the reason I don't often do 30+ episode series. I marathoned those two too hard, I guess).

My first thai-drama? Kiss me - and it became my favorite adaption of "Itazuara na kiss".

First variety show? Shinee Hello Baby. But the one, that I am still running along with is Running Man. 

Now, 15-ish years later, a lot has changed. You do not have to go treasure hunting to find series. And there is more diversity and creativity. 

Still, I would love another attempt at a Sailor Moon Live Action Series, with better wigs (ore none) and less stuffed animals.
