Lots of Summer Days
Lune = the moon. Personally, I don’t believe in the moon, I think it’s the back of the sun… still, I understand why Lune came off as a red flag. Ever heard of the blood moon? Anyway, is Star like a friend of Sera's or an enemy? I can't believe my WhiteIvy ship didn't sail... my year is ruin until January 25th. :((((Look, I don’t know what school y’all went to, but in what class would anyone not notice a student like Lune? Dude was tall with hair, brooding, and looked like an angel coo'ed every time he breathed. Like?? Lune being an invisible kid was so far-fetched I’d sooner believe thai bls would one day stop the guitar scene than to believe Lune is a loser. Like did y'all see his model face during that runaway show??
There was a lot of drama on this show. Good, and nonsense drama. Many hated Lune when White punched him, some sided with White cuz he felt like an extra and background prop. Most of us were team #WhiteIvy, while a lot of us called Star names for acting unreasonable, and of cause, we all swoon whenever Jewel and Tan were on the screen. Avadakedavra and whathaveyous.
But listen, when that drama that separated them happened, I did not side with anyone. Matter of fact, I almost lost an eyeball rolling my eyes at White’s dramatic arse, and Lune’s pathetic face.
I UNDERSTOOD WHITE:
but he was annoying for acting like he trademarked Star.
Yes, if I brought a loser invisible boy who look like a cover star into my friend group, asked him if he like my crush, he says no, then said crush rejects me, and I later find out he’s dating her, and my friends are now hanging out with him and ignoring me… I too, would punch him and disown him.
White’s pain, and feeling betrayed was justified. He had a reason for feeling the way he did. The pain from the reject was still fresh, and with how they were ignoring him to protect him, it was no wonder he blew up in their face, and especially felt more hurt with Ivy, since she was the one he confined in the most.
BUT BUT… boy! Come on. Like, this girl rejected you, give it a rest and go find something to eat. Sometimes, I don’t understand the ‘code’. The unspoken rule about not dating someone who a friend have a crush on or dated. Hmm, just because they don’t vibe with you, I ain’t allow to feel for them? Boy was acting like he had trademarked Star, when she literally rejected him by saying she liked someone else.
That being said, White was my fav character. He was such a good friend and an amazing human being. Being there for this friends, taking the blame to protect Nana. I felt sad for him when he was rejected, but my arse was highkey shipping him with Ivy, so like, it made me happy. I kind of get why they didn't end up together, their friendship was waay too good to ruin, but still, it hurts. Also, he gave the best advice, we all need a friend like that. The only advice I ever gave my friend was to never say no to free food. She'd gain weight now, but she hasn't paid for meals in a while...so #winning. AND, he slayed that runway.
I UNDERSTOOD LUNE:
But homeboy was such a people pleaser and a try hard. Lune as a character was one of those red flag that comes with green wrappings. The worse thing being he himself didn’t even know he was a red flag. Sure, he was a good person and tried to do the right thing always. But by putting everyone before himself, he literally drove everyone around him insane.
Dumping Sera with no explanation. Sure he got his arse whooped, but at least if he’d explained, poor girl would have moved on. Telling White 'bros-before-hoes' only to turn around and date his crush in secret, boy!! The trouble he went through for White when he got in that scandal, all so he could apologise for dating a single girl who agreed to go out with him. And the whole driving his girlfriend crazy by trying to give his ex-girlfriend the time of her life.
All these was a good attempt on his part, but also made him come off as a red flag. At one point during that dinner, I was like...OMG will you shut up about Sera??? I understood he wanted to make up to her, but the way he did it, if I was his girlfriend, I too will yell at him in the rain. Heck, would have thrown all those plates on the ground for dramatic effect ^^
As the main character, Lune was dull, sure most of the events evolved around him, but he still seemed so grey, not a lot of color. I admit, I did like his character and was cheering for him to stop being a bish and admit he likes Star back. That being said, I liked how effortlessly Lune and Star's relationship developed, and how warm they felt.
I UNDERSTOOD STAR
Did Star come off as a fake friend for how unreasonable she was being towards Lune’s intention to make Sera's last couple of days memorable? Yes! BUT, GIRLLLL. Her boyfriend literally had an ex who was like her long lost doppelgänger, like, they had the same interests and they both came off very kind, smart, cute, demure. I too would have thoughts, and to keep hearing about their past, that must have hurt. I was surprise she didn't blow up sooner.
So yes, I understood her. and Lune just couldn’t take a hint, Sera this, Sera that, like, child would you keep quiet? Though, I thought she was smart enough to communicate before it came to that point when it got too much for her, but we all know what happened.
As a character, Star was…well, she didn’t annoy me to the point I gave up on her, so good. But her friendship with Sera felt so conditional, that it came off fake. Yes, you are jealous and your boyfriend can't take a hint, but communication is the key girl. Her giving an ultimatum was such an arse move. But am glad Sera understood her, gave Lune's thick head advice, and in the end they became genuine friends.
IVY IS MY GIRL
She was a very good friend. I like how she let go of her long crush and immediately supported Star and Lune. I felt for her when White was mad at her, sometimes being a good friend sucks. I love when she bantered with White and their friendship. We all deserve a friend like her. She was my third fav character. I'm high key super sad we didn't get a WhiteIvy ending, but, but he didn't close that stupid line she drew though...so there's hope.
JEWEL AND TAN RULES
Need I say more? Their scenes were so precious, and I loved how Jewel was so rich rich he was flat out naive. I love their interactions. I was laughing so hard when Tan was talking about the hardship in his life, and Jewel was like, 'Yeah, I understand, sometimes I don't know what car to choose.' CHILD! That's not... That's not even remotely relatable. He was basically like, I'm soo rich, it's exhausting. And Tan just stared like, 'ain't life bish.' skskkss. Jewel was my second fav character, homeboy just went off to the side and fell in love with a Harry Potter impersonator who made coffe, and missed all the actions. Jewel waiting a year to go to Uni with Tan was... tears. Yeah, I loved them, wish them whatever comes after 'the end'.
Anyway, I am nosy. Sometimes, I pull up on twitter with a glass of wine and popcorn, cuz some of y’all have some juicy drama. So yeah, when I saw two bl actors were gonna do a f/m lakorn, my arse immediately stood up! Going in, I wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised at how good this was. I came to look forward to it every week. Phuwin and Dunk's acting was better here than the bls I last saw them in. I like seeing how they've improved, hopefully they take it to their next projects as well.
Star's mother suddenly understanding her, when she's been a helicopter mom forever was far-fetched, but am glad we at least got to see that she and Lune had a supportive family behind them. I liked that Sera seemed to have become part of the group, and Lune was no longer a people pleaser. I'm satisfied with the ending we got, but super sad about my ghostship. WhiteIvy will always be in my heart.
All-in-all, cast did what they were supposed to, bringing their characters to life. The plot itself was nothing new, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The drama exceeded my expectations, and so I'll recommend it to everyone looking for a high school drama. This was my first ever thai f/m drama and I was not disappointed. Give it a watch.
Looking forward to more work from the cast, especially Ryu and Java.

Fated To Annoy You
One night stands. Forced weddings. Pastors who serve coffees and ballet dancers who can afford long distance phone calls. An unexpected baby is about to stir things up and none of these people are safe! This drama started off well, but by the end of it, I was like: 'Seriously, who wrote this? is this really where we are heading?'
Since this drama has wasted enough of my time, I’m just going to write a small review and move on with my day.
This drama was on point, when it started, I enjoyed the heck out of it. Already in the beginning, some random guy walks into a commercial set and takes it over, and I’m already in love with him.
Yes, the plot was good. The characters were interesting, and it had my attention, but then suddenly, everything went downhill. The second male lead starts singing, and the main male lead starts looking for a tree??? Like, what in the eff was happening? Where the hell are we?? Who's driving this thing?
Basically, I had no idea what the eff was going on anymore, and at that point, I was only watching it because I’ve come this far, and dropping it would mean admitting defeat! Really, everything that happened after the baby was a no from me.
And can I ask? What the hell was up with all the randomness and the constant flashbacks? We watch a scene, and one minute later, someone is remembering it in a flashback! Eww! Enough already, we do not have the memory of a gold fish!!
What made me finally gave up on it was how all of a sudden, the loving and funny characters became obnoxious. I wanted to punch the male lead every time he did that laughter thing he had going on. What the hell was up with that? It got under my skin so much I ended up not liking him, and he was my fav in the beginning.
The writers attempt to make the female lead strong just made her annoying, and I couldn’t stand her. The second female lead became pathetic and ridiculous, wanting someone she couldn’t have, and the second male was just a sad SOB.
Truthfully, I really wanted to love this drama, but I couldn’t, because at the end of the day it was a giant disappointment! The only good thing that came out of this drama to me is that one song: Goodbye My Love by Ailee, that's the real mvp of the series.
Would I recommend it? No, I’m saving you from hours of your life you’d never get back.
You're welcome.

All Of Us Are Dead
Okay, what kind of dead was that? My man was eating, sleeping, doing the devils tango, solving mysterious, sending emails, going to the effing library to read?? huh? Bish is you dead or not? Also, how he got such good internet connection from the past? But like, this was me throughout 79% of the drama going: Is he dead? He's dead isn't he? Wait, which one of you is dead? Ahmmm, can dead people get on their knees and do that with their mouths? Literally, are you dead dead or like on a try run? Boy you knew he was dead the whole time and still... damn, if only that river could talk!Okay, so can someone explain to me how ghost mechanics work in this reality? Cuz Mas seemed fine with everything the two were doing, and then suddenly he was sick? Also the dead guy needed sleeping pills to travel to the past? I am confused, how could he get to the past? Is that a ghost thing? And did the writers forget to hint out the 'sucking of life force' thing if they stayed close together, cuz shoving that into the last two episodes was not it. I was like, hmmm, since when? They'd been kissing and doing stuff and he seemed fine, my man even asked for seconds. I wish we had hints thoughout, would have made more sense. Or did we, and I didn't notice?
To be frank, I legit thought Mas was the dead one for a good amount of time, and then I was like... wait a minute... they can't leave the town/house, Khen is making goggly eyes at that ancient grandpa in his youth. Either they've time-traveled, or like bishes are dead. So like, this was a time-travel/ghost story right? Cuz Mas even visited the future ones. How the hell did he do that when he wasn't even dead. Nope, not gonna question that, don't want no headache.
Listen, I already did the confusion, what the hell is going on thing in 4Minutes, so my arse was ready to give up on this drama like half way through episode 2. But, then, I stayed, cuz for some reason, my brain decided it wanted to watch something scary, although I rush to sped it up whenever creepy music starts playing. Yes, it was slow pace, the acting, well, and story was all over the place, but I stayed, showed up every week, and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it was slow pace, the acting, well, and story was all over the place, but
I cried, when they finally revealed that the friends all died in the accident. When the two heard footsteps and then found the rescue team and their bodies, I had to put it on pause to get it together. And Khen losing it, when he finally realised was even more emotional. The last few episodes made me reach for the tissues.
Plot:
Flat out confusing, and if you look closely, lots of holes and stuff that makes no sense. It was slow building, could bore some people, and sometimes felt like it was going nowhere. But, I actually enjoyed it. It gave me a sort of 'The Others' vibe, and I really enjoyed watching it. I kept waiting for Khen to figure out his situation or for Mas to tell him, although I knew it was going to be sad when he does. I also like how they gave us a side story with Khampuan and Sompho. At first I was like meh, but then it got really interesting with the reveal and everything. So yeah, interesting concept, but could have been delivered better.
Characters
I liked Mas and Khen. Yes, the actors are new, and the acting was noticeable, especially in a serious drama like this one. But, it still didn't take away from me enjoying the characters. I liked them as a pair, and none of them annoyed me, so that was a win for me. I also loved the two females' storyline, they did great and added to the drama as whole. As for the friend group, and the rest, they felt like background prop. At one point I went: if that one friend don't stop calling out 'Khen' every two seconds, imma riot.
The Finale:
Mas' mother showed up. Me: woman, didn't you evaporated last episode? I thought yous moved on. Ghost in this drama just keep doing whatever they want. That being said, I want one more episode where everything is happy happy. Cuz you telling me they could have met and fallen in love in Khen's time, but they miss each other and Khen left for that work and died?? So they don't get to be together in two lifetimes :(((( why? why writers, what did I do to you?? When Mas woke up and Khen had already moved on, I wanted to cry. Leaving behind that cherry blossom just hurt. I need a second season where they get reborn and get their happily ever after.
And was that baby Khen? So like... Mas' gonna act like a father for him or a godfather? See, we need 1 or 20 more episodes. That being said, I liked what we got in the finale. Loved how the friends waited for Khen so they could move on together. It was sad, but it couldn't have been done any way else, the whole premise of the story was one of them being a ghost. So, I am fine with the ending, I went more, but I accept this one.
All-all-in a good watch. Some things could have been done better, and many would find the slow pace boring, but I personally enjoyed it, so I'd recommend to anyone looking for a ghost and human from the past fallen in love story. I'm looking forward to seeing more from the leads. Give it a watch if you have time.

More Like, Always Let Me Go
If I had a nickel for every time these two lead broke up and got back together in the name of love… I’d own a goddamn bank! We get it, you are in love, with a hero complex. Enough already!Listen, based on the rating of some of the reviews here, I didn’t want to waste my time with this drama, cuz I thought it was going to be worse than that one drama where the lead was secretly collecting the rubbish of the male lead. But then I wanted to procrastinate instead of doing the dishes, and decided to put this on. And, I was presently surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Really, it was a good one. Which makes me wonder if PondPhuwin had been progressing backwards?
What happened to them? I felt none of the vibe I felt with them in this drama while watching We Are. Shouldn’t their chemistry had been better with time or… I’m glad I decided to watch this drama so I could see them at their peak.
My first drama with them was We Are, and that series was not it. Their acting was nothing, and their chemistry was on the floor. Really, I have nothing good to say about my first impression of them, unless to say, at one point I seriously thought they were afraid of each other’s lips. But this show was good. Sure it was messy, but they had a plot and they followed it, and I liked the general vibe between the two leads.
What I liked
- The Music in this was epic!!
- I actually liked PondPhuwin’s chemistry in this. Their acting could use work, but I was okay with how they each played their roles.
- Those hawaii shirts made me laugh. Each time, I was like, why? not sure if I liked it or not, but I laughed so…
- I repeat the music in this show was amazing!!
- The special our sky 2 episodes, don’t care what no one says, I enjoyed it.
- The plot was flawed, I'm sure it had as many holes as a basket, but even with all it’s flaws, I liked it.
- Chopper
- How Palm didn't seem to have any ill-wishes towards his mother. He went straight to calling her 'Mother'. He's better than me, cuz my grudge holding arse would have straight up went, 'Ma'am and/or Auntie.'
What had me going huh?
- Constantly leaving each other to protect the other. We get it, you love the other so much, now stop it, it’s getting old.
- When Nueng talk down to Palm and then we are suppose to forgive him because somehow it was justify. That scene at the dance party made me wanna shake him.
- How Nueng never have any bodyguards with him? Sure, there was Palm, but even when Palm wasn’t around, dude was doing stuff alone. Like, child, peoples are trying to kill your arse!
- The Uncle being sooo obvious as the villain. Literally, his expression was bad guy coded, and at one point he was even walking side ways with a villain tilt of his head. Also, how people in movies/series never notice when someone acting suspicious??
- Palm’s father: Telling his son to give up his life and future for a debt his bum arse owned, was rubbish. Also, why did Nueng’s mother think the guy who worked on a fishing boat would be a good bodyguard? cuz he played basketball?
- Palm’s mother not even knowing what he looked like was wild. Poor boy.
- No matter how I tried, I could not vibe with Ben… don’t know why, he didn’t even do anything that awful.
Anyway, there were a lot more I liked and some things I didn’t, but imma leave it here. If you haven’t watched this show, and some of the reviews are throwing you off, ignore them, this drama isn’t perfect, it has it flaws, but I enjoyed it a lot, so I’ll recommend it.
I hope we’d get more dramas like this from Pond & Phuwin in the future.

Instagram Couples & Fan Service
Kla letting his boyfriend get drugged so he can play some sort of hero and come to his rescue was the dumbest thing ever. Cake thanking him for it made me facepalm. Also, them forgiven Khing so fast was not it.Listen, I was this close to dropping this drama in the first episode, but then I kept at it, cuz my tl was dead that day, and scrolling through Netflix felt like a chore. I’m glad I didn’t drop it…I think.
Okay, like, was I the only one who went, 'OMG, they shoved Cake into the crab trap, hurry, get him out before Mr Krabs sees him and make Spongebob turn him into a krabby patty.' No? just me? arite...imma see myself out.
Anyway, the acting in this drama…on the floor. The plot, nothing special, but it entertained me while watching it. They tried to have some sort of plot in the last episode and ruin the whole thing. Up until the finale, I thought this was going to be a show of two people fallen in love, with two losers trying to stand in their way by being mean via online and sticky note.
What I liked:
I liked Kla and Cake falling for each other through the screen. I also liked Tim, he was like the voice of reason for us viewers, well until the last episode, dafug was that about given Af his number? Are they hinting at them ending up together... cuz that's wild. I also liked the fact that Kla didn't like sweets but ate them for Cake.
What I liked most about this show though was how Kla and Cake communicated in the first episodes. I liked that when Kla didn’t like that Cake was hanging out with Af who clearly had a thing for him, he mentioned it, asked him to talk to Af about it, and Cake agreed. There was no over the top jealous moment and misunderstandings, and I liked that.
Now what I didn’t like was:
I don’t understand people like Af and Khing. Like, did Af really think if he’d gone through with the motel plan, and Kla dumped Cake for it, that Cake would ran into his arms and go… ‘Af, I love you so much, even though you ruined my life and I’d probably need therapy until the day I die, let’s go eat barbecue?’ Like child, use your head. Thank the eff,he came to his senses in the last moments, I still think he needed some sort of punishment for the part he played.
Now as for Khing. First off, are people really that in love? Just cuz one time, a nice person helped you avoid humiliation in public, you fell in love with him, and proceeded to be a menace. Are some people that pathetic? She could clearly see Kla wasn’t into her one bit. Me personally, I’d have been so embarrassed to be constantly rejected, I’d have told my rich father to relocate me…the moon could not be further enough.
Honestly, she deserved to have been punished, if not jail time, some sort of youth therapy program, cuz clearly she needs help. What’s with some thai bls and glossing over things that deserves jail time and/or for characters to be put in the asylum for mental help? I remember TharneType, having a psychotic character that literally shouldn’t have been allowed into society, but they just let him ran around, and I even heard they tried to give him his own show or something… dafug?
Khing, cyber bullied, tortured and planned to have Cake gang graped by strangers, and when all was said and done, they sent her overseas? WHAT? And the friends forgiven her like almost immediately and the writers showing us that her rich father was absent in her life. How dafug was that bit of backstory supposed to make what she did okay?
Yes, everyone deserves forgiveness and a chance to become a better version of themselves, but she deserved at least therapy, and made to seek forgive in person, or something. Them forgiving her flat out, like almost immediately made me question if the people who wrote this lived in real life.
Anyway, the story in itself, when it comes to the main and second lead was cute. Them finding love, in the case of the second leads, trying to go from delulu fan-service to real couple. The second leads remained me of at least five bl partners, and whether or not they are dating, or also doing pretending fan-service ^^
The plot wasn’t much, the acting, nothing to write home about, and the final episode just had me rolling my eyes. They spent it on the side character, and Cake was gone for like almost all of it. That very last scene with the smoking means nothing to me, cuz I had no idea what was happening.
All in all, it was okay to past the time with. Watch it, if you have nothing else.

Taishin Is A Blubber Mouth Bumpkin
Okay, so like, we are ignoring that Taishin is a stalker right? Good. Cuz, he’s like the worse stalker ever. Homeboy walked up to the guy he’s stalking and went ‘...eh... I came to this school because of you… do you wanna go hiking senpei?’ LOL, he’s a naive, adorable blubber mouth and I love him.The plot of this show is nothing to write home about. Nothing really does happens, the episodes are short, and pretty much most people will find it super boring and meh. I did at first too, but this show grew on me. At first I was a bit annoyed and was like, come on son, no one your age is that naive. No really, Taishin’s so innocent it’s pitiful. But then he got me with his constant 'Eh and adorable-ness-ness.' Cuz how could I stay annoyed at a guy who’s best friend is a parrot, his idea for the perfect first date is Bird watching, and his favorite food is pudding. HAHAH WHAT?? PUDDING and BIRD WATCHING? Even his interests are bland. But he’s what he is and I accept him.
Taishin comes off as a village bumpkin who’s seeing traffic light for the first time. He came to the big city with a goal: getting closer to Takara, and he’s made it his whole personality. I respect that, but like, does he even pay attention in class? Lol, homeboy with his doe-eyes looks like he doesn’t know what’s happening half of the time, and he’s just here to fill space and breathe air. Though, even with how smitten he is with Takara, I'm happy he's bold and brave enough to speak his mind when he needs too. Which gives him more colour as a character.
I’m sure many people will found his naivety annoying, as well as how constantly he puts himself down, because he’s put Takara on a pedestal and borderline worshiping him. Normally, I would nitpick at it with a microscope, but I found I’m enjoying the un-heaviness of the whole show that I don’t mind it. And the two leads have good chemistry as well, which makes it even more entertaining to watch. They didn't need any over the top sexual stuff to make the watcher feel their chemistry, which was refreshing to see.
Plot wise there’s nothing much happening. Basically, the story is about Taishin who uprooted his whole life and moved to the city to go to the same school on a chance he could meet the guy he met on the mountain one time. Sure it isn’t as stalkish as that one bl character who collected the trash of his crush, but this is also a form of stalking. But Taishin did his with those doe-eyes and blurted it out so fast that it doesn’t really count. I doubt it would hold up in court :)
Oh and in-between Taishin trying to get closer to Takara, we see the man himself playing with some marbles and remembering his mother who doesn’t like marbles? and thinks he sucks, so he's dealing with that and trying to move on from her. So yeah, not much happening. But I did enjoy the journey of seeing Takara come to like Taishin to the point he felt possessive and jealous. I liked seeing him struggling to not turn out like his mother, and having Taishi reassured him that he'd tell him whenever he does something he doesn't like. They communicate in their relationship, instead of following the pattern of over-done misunderstanding trope, which again made me enjoy the show.
I like Takara. His personality is to look as nonchalant as a cucumber, still he’s there for Taishin, which is a green flag in my book. He’s not mean about Taishin’s cluelessness and is patient with him.
I'm not gonna write an in-depth of what I liked/ didn't like about this drama. After the first two episode, I decided to watch it for enjoyment purpose only, and just went along for the drive. So if you want some in-depth reviews, other reviewers on here have done that quite well, so check them out. This one is just me gushing over Taishin.
So yeah, if you’re looking for something deep, my brother go look elsewhere. This show is good for rewinding after all the heavy currently airing bls. It’s light, with a simple plot. And except for the two lead characters, all the supporting cast are like background props, but still, I’m enjoying myself watching it.
There's a spinoff apparently, so I'm looking forward to seeing these two again, cuz these episodes were not enough. I wanna see how their relationship developed after they both admitted their feelings for each other. Would there be more pudding and bird watching dates? I'm excited.
Anyway, I love leads that blurts out whatever they are thinking, whether embarrassing or not, therefore causing no misunderstand and our Taishin has no filter whatsoever, and I love that loser for it.
I’ll recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easy watch and something to unwind and not think too much. Give it a chance if you have time, it's cute. This is definitely going on my list of guilty pleasure dramas.

OffGun as Side-Characters In Their Own Drama
I’m so used to Thai characters having names like P’ Car Tyre and Nong’ Wheel Barrow that when Gun’s character said his name was Ryan, I choked on my wine. And don’t even get me started on Jane. Dafug you mean your name is Jane? Your people named you Janet? Come on son. Also, Ryan’s lipgloss game was on point. Dude woke up every day looking like he’s ready to be kissed. Legit, who’s lips look like that at 06:00am in the morning? And his short-shorts!! Hahaha, though, if I had those legs, I’d show ‘em off too.
Listen, did anyone else almost went ‘OMG Khai is that you?' in the finale when Jane’s character literally ghosted Ryan after his ex-boyfriend stole his idea, then proceeded to ignore him five more years? Was everyone else back in their Theory of Love days and wanting Jane to be left at the train station? No? arite, imma see myself out.
First off. I watched this drama because of OffGun and Sea. And there was not enough of OffGun in this drama!! Literally they were supporting cast in their own drama, and it made their relationship come off as super slow burn, but I think it felt that way because we legit didn’t get enough screen time for them to develop any faster. Like, they might as well have been the side-dishes in that porridge Ryan wanted to be. Such a shame, cuz this is easily my fav drama from them.
Imho I think this is one of the best dramas that came out this year. No, no, hear me out. Yes, some episodes feels like fillers and unnecessary, there wasn’t anything major happening, and they spent waaay too much time on that love triangle nonsense. Plus, we’d all seen this sort of office dramas with a a side of love-story plot, so yeah, nothing different or even remarkable about it.
BUT, I loved it so much? Cuz it was all so darn relatable! I felt the whole intern life, trying to figure out your future, and being like Ryan, having literally no life goals whatever, and just going with the flow. So yeah, in that regard, I loved the drama, the rest of it however, in honesty, was subpar.
CHARACTERS:
Ryan was the most relatable character. Ryan is my spirit animal. I love that loser so much. Homeboy had no idea what was going on most of the time and I love him for it. Mfer just wanted to put paper in the printer and nod along, and that was amazing. But although he started off wanting to be just a normal co-worker who go out after work to enjoy food and drinks, his character grew. He didn’t have any objectives and had no idea what the work was even about, but he fought. Sure, he thought about quitting, but he stuck it out and keep trying and in the end he got stronger for it. And even ended up working in that industry, successfully I might add. I was very satisfied with his character arc and growth.
What I didn’t get about him though was how he was able to wait that five years, or even in those months he was ignored. Then just take Jane's sorry arse back, all adorable with their hands reaching and unicorns and stuff…pfft, people in love. Could never be me, my arse would have been married with kids and long forgotten him in those five years. But of course, he’s in love so… nonsense reality. Oh well, they were cute though, I legit liked how their relationship developed, with all those cute moments that made me all so giddy, so good for them that they ended up together, hopefully Jane doesn’t ghost him again for another five years.
JANE
Now how Jane acts like he hates air when he’s at work, but lives like that one middle-age woman who makes a wish every time the same numbers appears on a clock? Also like, do people still use dvd players? where do you even buy those? My Muse by Jimin CD’s just arrived, and I went ‘These would make for nice bookshelf decorations’ cuz I have no idea where to play it.
Anyway, Jane almost made me go back to my Khai hating days with all the yelling and making Ryan cry that he did. But I didn’t, cuz I understood how these workplace could be, and Ryan putting himself there when he knew nothing about it couldn’t have gone any better, so yeah I understood.
But arrgggg, did I just want him to act like a grow up and just admit his feelings for Ryan. But again, I understood he’s his boss, and he couldn't just straight up admit stuff (side eyeing Judy real hard now). But then, after I gave him the benefit of the doubt, he straight up disappointed me. He didn’t even fought to get Ryan’s rightful credit for him, just went and told the ex he’s disappointed then proceeded to ignore Ryan. Then ghosted him for five years, talking about ‘I’d have come back for you if I didn’t ignore your existence and pretended you didn’t exist.’ Bish, is you allergic to planes? Couldn’t you have taking one back to wherever you went, after coming to see him?
Sure, sure I was all grinning and went, awww cute when he said he wanted black coffee with no sugar as his mood and tone, and when their hands slowly got closer, and when Ryan wanted more kisses and he was like 'enough don't be greedy for my tasteful lips,' but eff that guy, always going for the silent treatment is not cool. But, I guess, he’s a bit, just a tiny bit better than Khai, so I guess, he’s okay-ish, and I’m glad he followed his dream and became a director. So, clap for him, I guess?
Also, like, am I the only person who felt like Jo, that company owner, always gave Jane backhanded comments, which was why he was always felt like he was in his shadow? Literally, nothing he said to him in the flashback made me think, ‘Oh Jo means well, he wants him to be bolder and more assertive.’ Literally, P’Jo came off as those mentors who sniffed out talents and oppressed them cuz they afraid the student would outshine them. Then of course the writers in the finale wanted me to believe he meant well. It might just be me though, but that’s how he came off when it came to Jane. To the others, he was so encouraging and helpful to them.
Plus, at the end of the day, none of the old people stayed to work in the company… soo… But, it might just be me who perceived it that way, but yeah, stuff.
Anyway, I’m okay with Jane, but also hate his disappearing act. Mfer out there acting like Houdini every two-to-three-business days. arrrg, pick a personality air-breather!
Side- characters:
They were a good audition, in small doses, but there was entire too much time on them. Though, I wanted to know more about Pie and Pah, but I guess, they needed that time for that dragged-out love triangle no one asked for. Literally how many times did we need to see Ba-Mhee looking sadly at the camera for being ignored? Also, is it just me of somewhere in the middle it felt like the rest of the interns bonded more with each other than with Ryan? Felt like they did a lot of things without him at some point. Oh well, either way, I loved them together and how they kept their friendship years later.
PLOT
Listen, if you are going to wait until the second to last episode to give us the backstory of the main character, then why bother?
This was literally Jane throughout the series.
JANE: Me big alpha with a blowhorn, 'You, bring me the call sheet!' RYAN. You, cameraman, did I tell you, you can blink? RYAN! Your existence is a shame to the this company and your ancestors, go sit in a corner and think about wasting air. RYAAN! Arite, I'm sorry I call you a waste of space, here, let me tie your shoelaces. RYAAAN!'
COWORKERS: Damn, he's so harsh, but so confident and good at his work, cuz all the clients wants him, and we respect him but fear him.
VIEWERS: He's such a hardball, damn, that's one confident dude he's good at his work.
WRITERS: *in episode 11* actually, he's an insecure loser who can't stand that his first pitch wasn't pitched, and is secretly so insecure that he'd given up his dream and cower in the corner and live in the shadow of Jo who we have not seen direct anything once. So yeah, poor dude, he's so sad.
ME: *Bombastic side-eye* stupid.
So yeah, throughout the series , Jane was this confident dude who yelled a lot but secretly was nice, and lived like he was born in the wrong century. Then suddenly, he’s his shy, insecure loser who lost out in a pitch one time and never got over it. If you’d told me this in the beginning, and showed me this insecure side, I would have believed you, but in episode 11, it felt like they suddenly remembered he’s supposed to be the main character and gave him that plot just so he can have more screen time. It was unnecessary in my opinion and served no purpose other than to have Jane pull a Houdini and ghost Ryan like a bat-shit crazy ex.
A lot of people will find this drama boring, and I would too if I didn’t relate to it. It’s understandable, there was a lot of scenes with them actually doing their work, which many would have loved to skip or for them to gross over, but I enjoyed it, so for me, the plot was good, to get to see second-hand how the behind of this industry worked. This was the in-depth scenes I wanted to see from SunsetxVibes with their jewellry company that I didn’t get to see, so I was happy for this.
However, that LOVE-TRIANGLE, was super effing unnecessary, given how it ended! Literally what was the point of side-lining the leads to give room for those three and their boring arse story? At first, I was like, oooh, developing feelings for your mentor and are we getting a gl couple… ohhhh. I was invested, then they flat-out went the cheating way, and I was like, hell no, first of you’re a mentor and shouldn’t be doing that, second damn girl, talk to your boyfriend, sure he’s a man-child you baby but tell him you need more attention don’t cheat.
And I understand, having a boyfriend who regards you as a second thought is not fun, but cheating, was a no no. Not gonna lie though, I cheered and clapped a bit when Ba-Mhee left Tae for Judy. I was like. Arite, now that that’s over, where the doctor at? Someone call P’Mhok, let him know Day drunk the straight people juice. LMAO, yes I felt bad for Tae, when he was crying and sniffing, but deep down, I crossed my fingers for Jimmy to show up and Sea going ’Shiiii, P’Mhok, you are here. Let’s go home and eat?’ That would have been amazing. Yes, yes, I am delulu and still living in my Last Twilight high, leave me alone.
Instead, we didn’t get any of that. Judy pretended none of the blame was on her at all, Pah became too protective, good friend but annoying as eff even when he meant well, Tae mopped for a bit, decided to let Ba-Mhee go and take the blame for himself, only for them to got back together. Then dafug was all that runaround for? Wasting unnecessary screen time on them, when we could have had more Ryan and Jane.
I’m literally not surprised they were fighting again in the finale cuz of jealousy, like what did they think was gonna happen, imo trust gets lost when one person cheats in a relationship, so good luck to them and they wedding I guess. Can’t believe they got a good ending, and all we got from JaneRyan was sns messages telling us they’ve decided to move in together. meh.
All in all, I loved the series cuz I related to Ryan, but I wish there was more screen time for the leads, and it wasn't taking away by the childish love triangle that went nowhere. Would have loved to see more of Ryan and his family, how he finally decided on his dream, or how Jane got his confident back, although I still think he wasn’t lurking one to begin with. Would have loved a lot of things instead of the five year jump, but, this is what I got, and I’m sort of okay with it, since it actually concluded and didn’t leave us guessing.
So yeah, I wanna recommend this to all OffGun fans, but be aware they are more a second lead…so… I’ll recommend this to people who love office romance too, there were a lot of cute arse moments with Ryan and Jane that made me grin like an idiot. This is definitely going on my most fav dramas this year along with Unknown, My Stand-In, Meet You At The Blossom, Century of Love and 4minutes.
Anyway, don’t forget to lip-gloss like Ryan, winter is coming.

IF I SPEAK...
AAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEiiiiiiiii.... Mhm! Let me keep quiet and go sit my somewhere. As for this one, let the production team and their ancestors review it. Cuz if I speak... why are they speeding through the plot like they in a race with Usain Bolt? Don't even get me started on the chemistry. Anyway, it was something.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Never Thought I'd See a Potato Cry
Never have I ever had the urge to punch a crying person in the mouth. Nah, Aoey is now challenging for the most punch worthy bl character ever. His crying face just vex me. How you gon' look like a boiled potato and a fish at the same time while crying? Arrggg, I couldn't stand him for one second. And the Dafug was up with that ending? My arse expecting to see the aftermath of the twitter trends, what became of that annoying crying potato. Instead they spend it with ridiculous jabs. I did not laugh once, not even putting Gene in that snow white outfit and having him look like a blowfish got me to laugh. And to think they made me relive Until We Meet Again!!
I wanted to see if the public accepted them or they are still split. If they found out about Aoey being buttshit crazy. If he grew old and alone like he deserves. If Hin's book became popular, so he can finally shut up about being poor while living in an apartment with a view. Instead the director used the screen time to show us that one random woman. (It occurs to me she's might be the author of the novel this is based on) but so what? I wanted a satisfying ending not whatever the eff that was.
And LOL, why was their family in front of the TV watching that press conference holding hands, and acting like they were watching a competition show and waiting for the host to announce the winner? Like, peoples, breathe, you already know the answer to whether they were dating or not.
Up until the last 10 or so minutes, I was vibing with this show. But I felt so dissatisfied and disappointed with the ending. Yes, the leads got back together, sure, cute, good for them, love wins, unicorns. But what was the aftermath? Arrggg, I hate when I watch a show and the ending disappoints me. After Game of Thrones, I told myself to read reviews before starting any show, but I rushed into this one because of UP, and now here we are. Somehow, I blame this on Ming.
I wanted to write a full review and just rant about Aoey and how he deserves to be punch in the throat, but after that ending, I can't even be bothered. This show has wasted enough of my time, not going to give it more.
Anyway, I'll recommend it, it's a good watch, but personally, the ending did not deliver.

Bow down to Her Majesty.
A motherless girl is about to go from being an escaped slave, to a gang leader, to a concubine, to the empress of Imperial China. And under her reign, her enemies will tremble before her.I love this drama. It’s a masterpiece, and one of a few dramas I can truly say this about. From the breathtaking cinematography to the amazing script, everything about this incredible drama was perfectly done to make those 51 episodes run by way too quickly.
Ji Chang Wook’s character was the reason why I fell in love with this drama. This was what I knew, it’s what I believed, but as I sat down to write this review, I realised that it wasn’t the emperor, but rather the empress that made me fall in love with this drama, and so, I’ll focus on her for my review. Starting with her bravery.
Life threw lemons at this woman, and she not only made lemonade, she sowed the seeds and grew a whole damn lemon farm. As a little girl, when Seung-Nyang lost her mother while escaping from being offered as concubines, she didn’t give up. She fought for her right to remain alive in a country that didn’t seems to care much for her right to stay alive. And she did, because in the process, she became the leader of a surviving gang, and it was through it, that her destiny truly begun.
Empress Ki did not allow her pain and suffering define her. Throughout this drama, Ki went through a lot. From losing her mother, thinking she lost her child, losing her country, the love of her life, then losing her child just when she found him, and losing her second love. Seung-Nyang could have been a character that at some point would have just given up, but she didn’t, she fought through all these and more, and came out on top. I love how she handled her pain, as if to scream: no you don’t define me, no, I won’t let you win today.
I love how strong she was in every scene whenever she was faced with moments that will make everyone break down and cry or give up. One of these moment was when she found out about her dear son, but decided anyway to do whatever she could to get him to get away from the life she was forced to live. I was very angry at those scenes, after what both her and the crown prince decided to do after they found out that their son was alive. But, I understood her, it was the only way she could save him, and seeing her cover her pain to do the right thing, made me love her. Of course, the outcome of her decision, is another discussion for other time.
She made her enemies fear and remember her name: She never gave in to the court bullying her, she played her cards right, and showed them, through shear tactics that she’s a force to regaining with, and under her reign, they all learned to fear and respect her.
Romance:
When the relationship between the crowned prince and Seung-Nyang begun, I was super against it, because I wanted her to be with the scared little emperor who had no one in his corner. But I was grateful for it because it made the drama a lot more intense and which, to be honest, made it more interesting. Yes, I hated the triangle, but it was very entertaining and added to the plot. That being said, when it comes down to it:
The Emperor didn't win Empress Ki's heart, he earned it! As for Seung-Nyang, she didn’t win the king’s heart, she conquered it, and with it, his country. It wasn’t a moment, it wasn’t a favour, it wasn’t even in the way she saved him, it was a thousand moments that added up to one, to make Empress Ki return our dear emperor’s love. Poor guy. Yes, my favourite part of the romantic plot was how the emperor had to earned Ki’s love. I love how she never gave in, even when he tried everything and loved her with all his heart.
Did the slow burn annoyed me at some point? Very, very, but thinking about it now, I love how she never gave into him because of his position, and fought until her heart was ready to accept him, and she herself knew he finally deserved her love. This in itself made their love story one of the most romantic plot I'd seen in one of these dramas. Annoying as eff, but realistic and romantic nonetheless.
Other Characters.
Empress Ki is only but one of the characters I loved in this drama. Tal Tal was the next one and both of them added so much to this drama but as I said, I thought I'd focus on this brave woman instead, as it was because of her that this drama has now become one of my all time favourites, which I'll definitely be rewatching.
The side characters all played their parts well, and made sacrifices that left me broken, and respecting their characters more. The bad guys annoyed the heck out of me, as they should. Jesus I was this close to throwing my shoe at their friend turned traitor. Yeah, that guy. Getting stoned to death was merciful. However, I got where he was coming from, and him having depth as a character was one of the reason why this drama had some of the best character development out there.
Now Ta Hwan:
There is nothing wrong with being hopelessly in-love, but it’s a crime to be a desperate dumbass in love. Yes, Ji Chang Wook is a blessing sent from the heavens, and everything he does is GREAT by default. He’s so great if I were him, I’ll wake up every morning like: I'm so perfect it hurts.
Like most of you, I love him! I’ve been an obsessed and loyal stalker since forever. Therefore, I’ve made a vow, to never criticise anything he does. Which is why, I’ll never admit that, I fell asleep, like 10mins into into Healer, and I will die denying this truth before I tell anyone that I gave that Melting My Stuff? drama half episode and gave up, cuz, Ji Chang can do no wrong. Well, even if he does, I won’t talk about it. Just like I won’t talk about that ridiculous wig they put on Lee Min Ho in Boys Over Flowers. Yes, I will never criticize anything he does, but I’m a nitpicking SOB, and if I had to sit through 51 episodes of Empress Ki with the character he played constantly being a punchable son of a beach, you can bet your arse I’ll rant about it.
Ta Hwan as an emperor was hopelessly, useless. He was the epitome of collateral damage. Not only was he a dumbass, he was also a liability to everyone around him, and it bugged me to no end how utterly weak he was as an ruler! He was constantly being saved or being scared. Sometimes he was both at the same time, which was unfortunate.
I waited so many times for him to get off this royal arse and do something for himself... and I’m still waiting. There were moments where I thought his hopelessness was an act, but boy was I wrong! What made me what to slap him was how he was happy being emperor only by name. Ki offered to teach and help him take back his nation, and he whines about how vengeance was a big no-no and he wanted to run away with her to la la land.
Me:
“Dude, surely you wanna... like, hmm... I don’t know, take revenge on the people who:
• Forbid you from learning.
• Exiled you to another country.
• Tried to kill you like a gazillion time.
• Forced you to marry his evil daughter.
• Humiliated you in front of your servants.
• Made you a puppet, and stole your crown
• Oh, and killed your father.?”
Ta Hwan:
“Nope. I just wanna run away with Seung Nyang and chase rainbows and ride unicorns.“
Me: *Grabs my rubber chicken*
As a character, all he had going for him was that he loved Ki. Other than that, he was just there for people to plan their evil plans around. He never stood up for himself, he was useless, a drunk and a sad excuse for a ruler. While everyone was busy trying to keep him alive, he was busy being a jealous lovesick fool.
Yes, I felt for him. He’s my favourite character in Empress Ki, second only to Tal Tal. Because of the emperor, I hated Wang Yoo for no effing reason, but even so, I have to admit that he was so weak and useless as a character I wanted to slap him 99.9% of the time. The only time I didn’t want to slap him was when he up and died and made me cry buckets like: God, I want a donut. He changed a little towards the ending, but never really lived up to his potential, which was sad for an emperor who held two nations in the palm of his hand.
Anyway, I won't even mention that second lead, nope. Overall, I love this drama, of course there were things I wasn’t so keen on, but none of them outweighed my love for it. And at the end of the day, when all’s said and done, it's one of the best k-dramas out there, and I highly recommend it to everyone and their mama.

Hamburgers & First Impressions
Grab your plates children, good food has arrived, and I am not talking about the burgers. Kant is a love bombing, manipulative police snitch, Bison is a cheeky, adorable hitman, Fadel is a moody hitman who loves cooking, and Style is an annoying, gremlin, stalker mechanic who would do anything for an old car. Between the four of them, someone is about to get burn, and it's not the hamburgers!Listen, this drama is a recipe for disaster, and I am SAT. STANDING. Heck, I'm even KNEELING, cuz my Wednesdays are about to be sooo good. The first two episodes have me hooked. As someone who waited forever for this, I was crossing my fingers that this didn't end up being a giant disappointment. Thankfully, FirstKhao and JoongDunk delivered, and I'm so happy all that waiting paid off.
I kept grinning throughout the first episode. To be honest, I knew FirstKhao were going to deliver cuz those two are allergic to playing subpar characters. JoongDunk on the other hand, I saw Hidden Agenda, my hope for them was literally on the floor. So shame on me, cuz they have grown so much! Literally, Style's annoying arse have made me love Dunk's character so much. Yes, he's a stalker, but, he's annoying an assassin for a car, so I say power to him. Fadel, that bed and sauna flashbacks though... yep.
Kant & Bison
The moment Bison started doing his little inlove-ness-ness cute thing with the tissue like a disney maiden in a musical, I went... 'Peoples, we have lost a brother! That hitman, just got hit by cupid's arrow.' No, but, already episode 1 and these two are talking about 'boyfriend' and doing the devil's tango. Kant out there talking about: 'It was so good, I passed out afterwards.' CHILD?? I mean, I saw that peg in the trailer, but damn, Sharon, that good huh? Khao a better person than me though, cuz after that butt grab, I’d have asked First like: ‘So, what are we? Should we move in together? hihi?’
I love Bison, although he can probably end someone with that burger hat fifty different ways, he comes off so gentle and innocent, and just so adorable. Him dancing in episode 2 all so cute, and all the ways he finds to tempt Kant. I love him. The moment Bison said 'thank you for the unsolicited advice, I knew he was gonna be one of my favs. Lol at him during that karaoke scene which caused them move cities! I feel bad for him though, cuz Kant is gonna destroy his heart completely being the snitch that he is.
Kant. Oh, Kant. What a giant red flag you are. He's doing so much all to clear his grand theft auto charges. Which sure, who wouldn't wanna be free from the popo, but dropping a bowling ball on someone you paid's foot, so they'd flirt with Bison was just cruel. And also, like, he claims Style is his best-friend, but he didn't even tell him he's trying to set him up with an assassin. Sure, Style would have screamed 'hell no' but letting your friend flirt with someone you suspects murder people for a living is sucky. Homeboy sucks, but, snitches do get stitches, so yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out.
As always, FirstKhao's chemistry is up the roof.
Fadel & Style
I am loving the dynamic between these two. Fadel is like one of those people who are like: 'Dear dairy, I went out today, and the humans are still there. I hate everything.' And Style comes off as one of those people who pets random dogs on the street and talk with everyone in the park. Him dancing by himself was such a mood. I've never met such a friendly, yet, annoying stalker like him. And I don't know what that says about me that I love him so much. No, he's so annoying, but like... he's the best. Though, now that we know his stalking antics are working on Fadel, I'm so looking forward to both of them finding out each other's secret. It's going to be amazing.
They gonna drive each other insane, in a good way, and I can't effing wait. When Style showed up in his tank-top in ep1, I knew he was going to be annoying as hell, and immediately I went, yes, more please, Fadel is gonna lose his mind, and apparently lots of tissues, and I'm here for it. JoongDunk are good in their roles, and I am happy to see them bring the characters to life.
Both Kant and Style are also red flags. Perhaps, they do deserve to be best-friends. Cuz we have Kant's arse love bombing poor Bison, and here Style is, stalking and disturbing a quiet gentle soul all because he wants an old car. Him getting thrown outside, and watered had me on the floor. He lucky he didn't get stabbed, Fadel looks so done with him. Though he just might when Fadel finds out he's only after him cuz he wants a car. Poor dude. I am looking forward to seeing how that plays out, and how they'd end up together. The chase is gonna be so sweet.
PLOT: Interesting concept, brothers assassins, getting tangled with two red flag best-friends, one an informant, and one just in love with himself. It can only be chaos, and I am here for all the drama. I am looking forward to how the plot unfolds and what would become of their relationships.
We are starting with 9 stars, let's see how it goes from here. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes.
Enjoy the good food people!
