REAL ENEMIES TO LOVERS
real enemies to lovers. People were complaining that they were not getting any good enemies to lovers drama and now their mad bffr.Do not let the ratings deter from the show a chance. ANYWAYSThe ml tries to kill the fl so many times throught the first episodes,I know if they continue on this part we might gets some good/real ROMANCE. minor spoilers ahead.
Political/Revenge-Driven Plot: The heart of the drama lies in its intricate power plays, revenge schemes, and dangerous politics. Every move is a calculation, and alliances can shift at a moment’s notice. The romance is a/will be slow burn, carefully woven through layers of betrayal, power struggles, and manipulation.
Love Triangle That Actually Works: You know it's rare to find a good love triangle where both leads are on equal footing, but this one nails it. Both male leads are charismatic, cunning, and each have their own complex motives. They see the FL not just as a love interest, but as a key player in their plans, and they use her as a pawn in their high-stakes game. But the chemistry between them? 🔥
Mature Script: The dialogue and storytelling are sharp, it's gripping.
Cat and Mouse Games: Expect a lot of who’s-playing-who moments. These characters are always two steps ahead, and the mental chess games between them will have you hooked, unsure who’s really in control.
Double Hotness: Let's talk about the two male leads—RJL, whose badass attitude and deep, sexy voice gives him that dark, irresistible edge. Then there’s JT, who’s a revelation, all intense stares and calculated moves, equally sexy and a match for RJL in every way.
This drama is a slow-burn, tension-filled ride with every twist and turn pulling you deeper into its ruthless world. Whether you're here for the romance, the mind games, or just the pure 🔥 factor, it delivers.

A cup of refreshment each morning
minor spoilers below. This show is just... so good! I was excited for it even before it aired, but honestly, I didn't have high hopes since I usually find modern Chinese dramas a bit dull and hard to engage with. I was really hoping this one would keep my attention, and let me tell you—it absolutely has!
Right now, I’m also watching other dramas like Fangs of Fortune, Love Eastern Game Fantasy, and Story of Pearl Girl. They’re released around the same time each morning, but I always find myself watching Smile Code first.
What I really love about this show is how unique it feels compared to others. The male lead (ML) is emotionless due to a mental condition, so he’s cold and blunt, especially at first with the female lead (FL). In most dramas, the ML is cold without any real reason, but here, his struggle to understand emotions is central to who he is. He can feel things; he just doesn’t know how to express them. This is where the FL, who’s all warmth and sunshine, comes in to "heal" him.
From the very first episode, their chemistry is so strong, and by episode twoo or three, she’s already moved in with him, which I love because it means they’ll get even closer. I’m already picturing their dating phase, getting butterflies just thinking about it!
I highly recommend watching Smile Code—you won’t regret it!

Chef's Kiss
I absolutely loved the opening episodes (1-5) of Moonlight Mystique! Waiting for the next episode is such a struggle, but it’s been a year without a Bai Lu drama, so here I am. Plus, Ruipeng is so handsome—I’ve been a fan since Blood of the Youth, so I’m excited to see him in this role.First, let’s talk about the female lead (FL): Bai Lu is absolutely killing it as Bai Shuo. She’s strong, smart, and super observant. By the second or third episode, she’s already piecing together the male lead’s (ML) plan, which shows how sharp her character is. Bai Lu looks stunning, and the outfits and makeup department deserves all the praise—they left no crumbs. Her line delivery has improved so much since her last drama, and I even found myself tearing up during her father’s death scene.
Now, the male lead: I know some netizens were hating on Ruipeng for taking this role, but I think he’s doing a fantastic job so far. His chemistry with Bai Lu is off the charts! He’s playing a no-nonsense demon, and he’s been serious and intense, which fits this role perfectly. I’m really excited to see how his character evolves as the show progresses. Honestly, every time he says lines like, "Don’t dare touch her—she’s mine," I couldn’t help but squeal. That dominating, commanding aura he brings to the character is everything this role needs.
Also, shoutout to his costume design! The dark purple, black, and blue color scheme suits him so well—it’s just chef’s kiss. The costume department really outdid themselves. On top of that, the lighting and color scheme of the drama are gorgeous.
The OSTs are also amazing—super pleasing to the ears. I noticed that I wasn’t skipping parts like I usually would in other dramas, which says a lot. The pacing is great, not draggy at all, and every scene contributes to moving the story forward.
The fight scenes? Wow. I especially loved the ones between Fan Yue’s subordinates and Chang Zhao. The CGI is surprisingly good—not overdone, which can be rare in xianxia dramas.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Moonlight Mystique. Xianxia dramas don’t usually grab my attention this early on, but this one has me hooked!
