SoooooWe first get the whole situation with Andrew, being actually a murderer (which doesn't really explain why he came to this building in the first place, like was he looking for someone in particular or is it just a coincidence?), wanting I didn't really get what except killing people. While some of the "good" residents (why not the novelist and her brother, idk) try to leave, Andrew gets to them and shoots Yi Hyun. I was at first worried when he was left with him on the roof but after being shot twice I thought that his "powers" of being infected (aka healing faster) could be beneficial (which is in my opinion a good thing in this scenario). Also the part where he bites Andrew is, in a weird way, satisfying. The couple of unlawful is terrible, thinking about making money in an epidemic (oh well... seems familiar). And I have no idea what becomes of the old couple, guess we'll know next episode! I wonder if Sae Bom got hallucinations of the outside world on her way back or not. Like we never really saw how the situation was on the outside so yeah...Next episode is the last episode, so I hope we will get a real ending and not just some sort of shitty-cleafhanger for a potential-not-really-happening_second-season. I'm hoping for them finally finding the cure, Sae Bom giving it to Yi Hyun, Seo Yoon getting her surgery, all the bad people from the complex going to jail...Also, the scene at the end where Sae Bom watches the video of Yi Hyun telling her he loves her was so sad but I'm REALLY hoping he will be cured (since he isn't dead I think). OOOHHH and I forgot to talk about it; like WHY does Sae Bom has antibodies???My guess is that it has something to do with her illness as a child, but I'm not fully sure.
ok....This was something. What a great ending, I couldn't completely comprehend how it was going to end but this was great. So, at first I was surprised when Sae Bom went back into the facility with the cure to give it to Seo Yoon's mom, I thought she would hand it back to get a cure for everyone, and since I thought she had antibodies because of her medical past, and thought she was unique, I didn't understand, but since she wasn't the only one, I guess it makes sense. Honestly, the way some of the infected were able to control their thirst was impressive. I'm wondering why the brother of the novelist who had the antibodies and was bitten, was still able to tell if he had thirst at first or not (like with the reverend, and then with Yi Hyun both being infected). Like I don't think Sae Bom was ever able to do that...I'm happy that we got a happy ending for Seo Yoon, I would have been VERY sad otherwise. Also, the part at the end with Andrew shooting Yi Hyun (before dying), and Sae Bom crying with him in her arms REALLY made me doubt. I was like "Seriously??? After everything? You couldn't give them a happy ending???", I had a slight hope, but I thought at one point that after everything that had happened he couldn't, once again, make it out alive. THANK GOD HE DID!!The scene with the doctor and the representative at the trial was very satisfying, although I hope the other ones also got their trial and sentences (the "unlawful" couple, who btw, deserved not getting anything because of the economy crashing and the cleaning couple). The final scene was very cute (and I was afraid it was another hallucination or dream of Sae Bom but it wasn't). I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed (especially since we had 12 episodes in total VERY filled), I feel like some matters could have been faster resolved and we could have had better explanation and closure. Some stuff I don't have the answer to or I didn't understand;- What happened to Han Tae Seok and his family (I guess he's well?!)- We don't know much about the other characters, I guess they are okay too?!- Why is the name of the drama Happiness (and with an inversed e)? Is it because of Epidemic? And is happiness just something to "lure" you in or sarcastic?- How was the old couple ok all this time? Had the old lady antibodies? Why didn't she bit her husband?- Why did some people better resist their thirst? Like at the end when Yi Hyun got shot, and Sae Bom shot herself to attract Andrew, why didn't he "turn" too?? What makes him different (since we know he doesn't have antibodies)- How was really the situation outside the complex? And I don't know if I have others but yeah, here are my thoughts!
WHHAATT???Ok I don't understand what's happening...So, first, we have Yi Hyun, who is infected, hiding it from Sae Bom to make sure she gets out of the complex Seo Yoon alive. Then, Han Tae Seok's wife turning VERY strongly, and her husband giving her a sample of Sae Bom's blood (as a last resolve), and it seems to work !? And the whole situation in the building 101 with Andrew being I don't know who (but clearly not who he was pretending to be, as I thought so, hiding too much stuff behind his mask), but apparently killing innocent people (the cleaning lady, the guy from 1501, and now the policeman), and he seems to want something or else he wouldn't have taken Seo Yoon in hostage. Plus all the other residents accusing Sae Bom and Yi Hyun and holding them responsible for the deaths of their relatives is absolutely despicable! Seing wha'ts happening only in the complex is interesting but at the same time I'm wondering what is the situation globally; like is it already a world-wor-z-kind-of-situation? I don't want Yi Hyun to die but I feel like he will want to go with the other infected to turn back on the electricity (since infected don't attract other infected), or some shit where he will sacrifice himself and please don't do that!!! I want your happy ending with Sae Bom!!!
The story is really great.Lieutenant Colonel seemed sooo sketchy coming in the complex, turns out he just wanted Sae Bom's blood, well well well, didn't see that coming did we? (L O L) The whole city being locked down too makes sense, but I wonder how the military can move around so freely. Also the different interactions with the residents are still as good as before. I still felt this episode was a bit slower than previous ones but when I rethink to everything that happened I don't really know why I feel that way. Also; why isn't the old lady turning at this point? Like, I feel she got bitten AGES ago... or did she? I also wonder how they will do with the electricity being cut off, like how do their appartment doors still work? It doesn't make sense in my opinion. And who tf opened the door at the end??? Edit: oh and I saw the review of someone else and forgot about the cross-thing!? like truuue what happened? I was thinking it might be because of some materials in the cross? Or also it might be linked to the first lady (the wife that got killed at the beginning in appartment 601) who only went after her husband (or mainly at least). Like they might have some kind of will in certain situations, I don't think it will turn into a fantasy drama but it is weird.
Ok, much has happened in this episode and I'm gonna pass out with this ending.First the way they try to resolve the conflict with everyone believing Sae Bom is infected is genius, Yi Hyun cutting himself to attract the infected was a great idea, all were discovered except for the old couple (I mean, I guess the grandpa is infected now, the grandma can't have lasted that long). The cashier girl and the brother of the novelist seem to be holding on quite well, I wonder if they have some kind of better mutation or sth like that. When the reverend died, I couldn't even feel sorry for the representative of the apartment, she is such a horrible person. Also, I wonder how the guy from apartment 1501 knows everything and if he is infected, he doesn't drink a lot of water (or maybe just has a lot of it). The ending with Yi Hyun being scratched and (logically) infected was kind of predictable, this will just motivate Sae Bom to find a cure (or make it happen), just like Han Tae Seok with his wife and baby-to-be (I wonder how this whole situation will turn out btw).I hope Yi Hyun won't get infected too bad and get the cure once it's done, but I feel a sad ending coming and I don't want it :((( I've had my fair share of it with "My Name". I want our two main leads to become closer without Sae Bom finding the scratch while they make out :(
As the show goes on, I wonder how this whole matter will be resolved, or if it even will eventually?Sure they are trying to get a cure with Sae Bom's blood but it's taking so much time and they won't be (realistically) able to manufacture enough before everyone is infected. I really liked the further development in this episode, between the appartments and this black market that is happening, the reunions between the people living in building 101, the new cases happening, ...The vlogger finding out his mom is infected but no-one really caring is interesting.I still wonder who the cleaning guy is and what he is hiding.I also love our two main leads getting closer and closer and how they stay so true to themselves. I wonder how it will turn out because the end of the episode is quite frustrating; like the other policeman (who became apart of this "sect", or atleast believes they saved him) turning against Yi Hyun and Sae Bom (who has a scratch on her hand). I hope they'll be able to explain without one of them getting hurt. We didn't see much of Park Seo Yoon this episode which made me think at one point she had left the complex before remembering she hadn't at all. I think that at one point she will be in danger, also because of her illness and her not being able to do too much effort or bleeding.
Someone pls help me, the episodes just keep getting better and better. The rythm is so great. The backstory on the Lieutenant Colonel at the beginning is very interesting and we see how at first (since he didn't really know how serious the situation was) he didn't care about side effects of the drug. His wife getting infected must be difficult for him, especially since she's pregnant, so I guess that's why he's capable of doing terrible things in order to get a cure. The discussions between the residents are always as intense and the fact that they finally all kind of know that the infected are real is a good thing. There are so many characters that I absolutely HATE (don't get me wrong, the acting is impeccable but their personalities and the way they behave is despicable), like the lawyer, the guy who killed his wife (still don't remember his name), the dermatologist (not the worst), the vlogger (kind of innocent-dumb but I could do without him), the resident-representative who only thinks about making money and being a representant (when there are people bitting others and drinking blood around her, like WHO CARES), and the guy in the asthma-suit (who turns out to be infected and at the end of the episode has Sae Bom like trapped with him, go Yi Hyun!!!)The end of this episode is crazy and it all goes berzerk, like I seriously wonder where the non-infected will retreat to now that there are infected people almost everywhere in the building!
Omg, so good!!Another amazing episode, absolutely thrilling. The development is impacable. The cohabitation between the different residents of building 101 is so difficult, and the fact that we know and suspect multiple people to be infected makes it so intense. When the different residents went out to look for information and then get food it was so well brought and done. I'm relieved they found the cashier. Also, the way Yi Hyun lost it when the guy who killed his wife (idk his name anymore) put the sound of the "zombies" to scare the residents was amazing. Great acting, especially after Sae Bom told him that he was a saint, it showed us the depth of his character.I love how they slowly get closer as they face multiple difficulties. Also, when the Lieutenant Colonel at the end says that they have to release an infected to show the crowd of "non-believers" what an infected is capable of why they shouldn't care for them too much I thought it was so clever but also quite disturbing.
Love how it's developing. The lock down and its repercussions on the people trapped in the complex and the people that wish to be inside. Patient "zero" (I guess?) being super rich and behind the distribution of the drug (and this new pandemic) in order to have a cure being developed faster. The roles of power and money influence a lot and the behind stories of the characters are captivating. The different buildings arguing and the ones paying more to live there uniting against the rental appartments, the whole dynamic is clever, although it doesn't help them at the end. Also, the scene on the rooftop when they ate together was heartwarming, and Sae Bom talking about how having something to look forward to making it better and a reason to smile makes a lot of sense (atleast I relate to it a lot nowadays). The situation getting out of hands with multiple cases in the complex is intense and the building 101 being the only one that isn't overran is clever, well it will get worst since the old lady is infected and the other people living there are so complicated but yeah, it's great! Also WHO IS THAT CLEANING GUY???
I absolutely love this drama. So far so amazing! This episode was great, you never get bored, it keeps getting better. It's quite terrifying, but really well put together. The image at the end with the whole complex being locked down was powerful.
I like how at the start of the episode, we realise that the virus has already spread worldwide and that it isn't just a SK issuethat is contained to the military facility that Yoon Sae Bom went to. Also, I really appreciated the way the neighbors were slowly introduced and how they were all particular. The relationship between the two main characters is very interesting and I wonder if there is something we don't know yet about Jung Yi Hyun. I found quite particular the way he agreed to get married and how he acts around the house and with Sae Bom, but maybe he is just deeply nice... who knows^^Her colleague being contaminated, slowing having symptoms but hiding it seems very real. And him then faking having it to obtain more information to share with the medias is also quite interesting although it sadly ends with him turning.
This serie starts in a great way; we get a little backstory of the two main characters, I love how unique they are, then we jump 12 years in the future (nowadays). They live in our reality (Covid still happening, people learning to live with a virus), and are both working in law enforcement. The way the virus is brought to us is really interesting and I caught myself getting stressed out when the ML encountered the virus and wasn't wearing a mask (thank god it doesn't work that way for this virus). This science fiction drama looks very promising and I'm looking forward to discover more of this universe and characters.
