Don't get overly expectant with overhyped ratings! But it's a GOOD story~
So I completed both S1 and S2 in the span of a week and I would give it a 8.5/10! Really great effort from the production , scriptwriting and execution, it is something I did not expect from the Hong Sisters' script. Honestly I hesitated very long to watch until last week when I convinced myself to give it a chance and put down my prejudice of such "idolized" typical F4 romance stories. Now I will rewatch it again very soon~First, acting and story plot is actually nicely executed and their background setting don't look out of place since they laid down the story fundamentals right at the start which made me able to dive into the show very smoothly. What made me took so long to start watching is the fact that I'm worried if the story is just sell the same "F4" vibes and FL forever like some innocent rabbit, but I'm so thankful FL is such a sly and strong character with a painful past. Male and female characters here do have some depth to their story and I'm totally happy about it as most romance dramas focused so much on just the main leads.
Secondly, I do think the amount of romance is done just right for S1 and S2 . Many ppl claimed they prefer S2's romance and chemistry more but seriously I do feel many viewers don't understand the flow of building up a relationship and just wanted fast romance... In S1, SML's romance seem awkward/lack chem to viewers because they are experiencing love and care for the very first time, and the doubts they have for their relationship "status". I do understand there are many plot holes with how they fell in love with each other which obviously not every female and male beings have to fall in love in a story but because it's the Hong sisters writing the script, it's totally predictable they will make SML in love no matter what. So if you just look past these flaws, it's honestly very easy to watch.
Thirdly, I like how both season's Naksu brought hope and light back into the Jang Uk's life yet funny enough she is the same person who break him into pieces in both times. The plot twists are nothing too shocking and the climax for Ep20 is quite predictable for me and I guess it's a common way for production companies to entice audiences to continue watching the next season with same level of enthusiasm.
One important thing I must say is please don't get sway by overhyped ratings or negative reviews, always watch it for yourself to know. You may dropped it halfway and rewatch again next time which is the same for me as well, there are times that I'm just not the mood for certain genres but felt like watching again after some time. What I wrote here is solely my thoughts and emotions felt while watching the show, so it could be totally different for everyone else!

Sort of underwhelming overall!
To be honest, I hasn't watch such a down to earth kind of romance drama in quite a while and I must say content wise it's definitely done well and really good casting choice! So to start off, I would like to commend on Wallace Chung and Li Xiao Ran for their great chemistry! They didn't had any problems showing all the complicated emotions their characters had and I'm really thankful that all the side characters are not just tools in this drama. Just that Wallace Chung really should practice a little bit more on his Mandarin accent, every time he had to deliver long lines I was literally laughing instead of into his emotions but I'm super glad that he tried even though he knows it's not perfect. Even Morni Chang who acted as Nie Dong Yuan carried his role really well to the point that made me felt so annoyed like some super stubborn/self-entitled elderlies that we meet in real life!
And to comment on who suffered more in the relationship, I actually feel both of them had suffered equally the same. A lot of viewers sympathized that Tan Jing as a woman suffered more as she repay all the debts on her own and take care of her sickly child but if we look at both their situation, Nie Yu Sheng also couldn't live a proper live as well. He was entirely on his own when he fell into depression, it was a huge mental breakdown which is a really dangerous issue for anyone who suffers them in real situation.
For what I really hate about this drama is the "hypocrisy" and how two-face the head doctor is. In one of the episodes, Sun Zhi Jun got into a fight with Nie Yu Sheng at the hospital due to doubts of the new medical treatment and the matter escalated to their head. Out of fit, the head just suddenly called off the surgery that the son needed desperately... Though the head made it sounded like he cancel it to protect his doctor and to punish the parents but in fact, he had no care if he was jeopardizing the son's live who was the actual patient! On the other hand when Nie Dong Yuan found out that Sun Ping is his real grandson, the head doctor here acted as though he is very concerned for the grandson when he was the one who took away the opportunity to have the surgery done way earlier!
And another thing is as the drama progressed halfway, it became quite a drag mainly due to the slow fight between Nie Dong Yuan and Tan Jing and distrust between the leads...
But overall, it's definitely one of the better dramas released in recent years when we are all flooded with shitty "romance dramas!

WATCH IT! YOU WILL NEVER REGRET!
I realized I've watched and love quite a few drama projects under the same scriptwriter~ So I've watched this drama some time ago and I got to say it's one of most sane and not exaggerated couples seen in so many romcom dramas! Yes they do use the typical and commonly seen (dumb) romance plots like when ML and FL first met in the village due to the sudden and "timely" storm and how each other are coincidentally the CEO and subordinate of the same hospital etc. BUT what's really amazing and super appreciated is that everyone is actually acting normally like what happens in true reality including those annoying office politics and higher ups abusing their power in their dept.FL is no naive and weak / nonsensical person, she has views of her own and acts professionally like what an actual doctor do. ML maybe childish at the beginning but he grows as a person as he learn to manage the organisation and those cunning directors that are eyeing on his position. I like how they used a good and realistic way to overcome the crisis during the climax and FL always get jealous with ML's ex while the ML was having fun teasing her~
This drama don't have much marketing done and don't have super popular actors other than Zheng Shun Xi himself but it's sure that they have produced a good story and good acting! I watched it because there is Liang Jie tbh because I've seen some of her roles in previous projects and she is one actress that has the ability to make her roles charming and outstanding even though she's not some pretty looking lady that fans these days are crazy about. I like most of her dramas and I'm glad she is acting in another well produced dramas like this!

Things that I personally really like and hate about Revenge Of Others!
On most of the parts I do agree with the comments here, the 1st half of the show is indeed amazing and 2nd half went quite expectedly downhill because they added too many plot twists which obviously created more loopholes and illogical actions. I quite like the chemistry the cast actors had for the show not just the main leads.1st, I like that they kept the romance at a right amount because it is focused on action and thriller while looking for the murderer hiding behind everyone though I'd say it was kind of obvious to me who had the strongest motive. So thankful the story isn't like most typical K-suspense dramas.
2nd, I really like how they kept us guessing what actually happened in the clique of friends that caused the brother's death. They honestly did a great job ensuring audiences follow the story's flow of thoughts and their logic/hints behind every scenes shown.
3rd, I really kinda hate Kwon Se Jin's character... It feels like he's not even needed in the story even though his existence should hold a lot of importance to resolving the mystery. The problem lies in the character that he is actually Ok Chankyu's love interest, yet he gave the least effort in trying to return his lover the justice while the sister works her ass off looking for details even though she didn't know what her brother faced in school. To me, it seems that Kwon Sejin didn't even bother to observe what his lover went through when they are so close and only assuming things as "truth" which ended up influencing FL's thoughts and decisions...
lastly, get that the ending isn't the best for most people but I like how the girl (victim) repaid the kindness by asking the entire school to protect the ML through the text message, it was honestly so satisfying and heartwarming at that moment. Even the police decided to take a step back which was undeniable they understood the students' wish to do justice to the ML who deserves kindness and protection and the person who truly deserved punishment.

Another TYPICAL Korean "BIG" FL drama...
Hmm so I finished the drama in like 3~4 days, I think the acting are all great but the plot is kinda so so for me... I wished they could come out of the overused typical Korean trope but overall I would say its still a well produced show. For me I do feel Seo Hyunjin does suit better with a more mature looking actor rather than Hwang In Yeop even though he acted really well too! I'm definitely not saying he didn't perform well for this role but rather he look kinda too young for his age, I do think an actor who looks more mature than the given age would work better for the pairing!
And for the typical setup that I not even surprise anymore... No matter how smart and daring the FL is, they always become the "small" woman when the ML comes into picture... And Heo Jun Ho's character unconditional acceptance and tolerance towards his older son was honestly quite disappointing for me. If the plot could add a little detail such that Choi Tae Gook showed signs of wavering to the older son and thinking of letting the younger son take over the company would definitely give the story much more tension towards the climax. The supporting characters too had too little to no presence which I feel can be done better!
What I was confused while watching the drama is the fact that Choi Tae Gook went through so much to frame Gong Chan during his trial but ended up finding another scapegoat to replace him in jail... I was like WHY??? Maybe I've missed some scenes while I was distracted but I really don't get it or is it just because they heard rumors about a new programme will dig into their matter? Honestly, they could have just think of other ways and make Gong Chan serve jail term all the way instead of creating more trouble for themselves...
Another thing that I find it odd is where in the world did Gong Chan saved so much money that he could buy an entire building? Even if he was worked really hard at the seafood market and was very thrifty, its nearly impossible that he could purchase a building in Seoul not forgetting how bloody expensive their real estates are...
I really loved Seo Hyun Jin's role in Beauty Inside and I think that drama will forever stay as the best out of all her works... I do hope both Seo HyunJin and Hwang In Yeop will get even better opportunities but for the drama I can only say its the starting few episodes that managed to clinched viewership!

Please don't watch it if you are feeling DEPRESSED!
Hmm so I kinda dragged on the drama in the middle and finally finished it today watching at X1.5 speed... Not trying to discourage anyone from watching but I think I know why this drama ended up recording a low viewership in Korea.First of all, the overall story and the ending is definitely great if you are looking into a comfort/healing drama. All things eventually got wrapped up nicely although there were some parts that I couldn't really agree on. There are many lighthearted and sweet moments during the start of this story, FL and ML clicked really well together as they delved deeper into their relationship and their past! 2nd couple is super cute as well!
Another point that is good is that it's a relieve the characters made up and resolved their past regrets and the hurt caused. This part will sit very well for anyone who had watched 2521 and felt immensely disappointed with the ending. For me, I felt both dramas' ending are well made and logical given that both of them had quite a different story setting. 2521 was more focused on the process of growing up to adulthood and facing common issues outside of their career/lifestyle, which is why after the all the characters made it as adults they still miss their old days together. Love all play on the other hand, mostly focused on untangling what happened from the accident 3 years ago that tormented everyone who were involved. Eventually, Junyoung moved on from her pain and regrets, reconcile with Taeyang.
So for the parts that I felt really draggy and kept me in low spirits was the fact that because of the unspoken accident, Taeyang always seem drowned by her guilt... Though she tried to walk out of it but as usual there are always things or people that hinders her way back to normal life. It's understandable that her team mates could not accept her at the start since there were rumors flying around about her but I'm speechless how a pro-athlete team can behave so childishly for so long... I know such things do occur in real sports organisations but honestly I don't think such behaviors is suitable to keep emphasizing for a drama. Junyoung and her parents as well kept delving themselves in victims' mentality, this part really made me skip it every time they show it... It is true that she was a victim but what's done is already done and they have made their own decisions for it too.
I hate TaeJun's parents the most! I'm sorry to say this but if I were the ML I would have left the family already. The parents are literal hypocrites...
Thus, I guess if you are experiencing some depressing times yourself, I would not recommend it to watch as the negative parts does go on for quite a few episodes. If really want to watch, maybe you can skip the middle episodes when the JunYoung returned to Korea. Skipping to almost last few episodes won't make you feel lost as the story plot is kinda predictable.

Look out for the 2nd ML syndrome! A really well written fantasy rom-com!
Really great rom-com when you are tired of typical overbearing boss with brainless naive FL romance genre~ Be it from the reality aspect to the novel world, I think all was done really well especially the multiple sides of the characters! Super funny because FL kept doing many dumb stuff and ML's reaction when she does it!Overall, this drama had one of the best chemistries in this saturated "idol" drama market! FL isn't some idiotic woman, she has her moral values in terms of recognizing the ML in reality or in novel as separate individuals even though she had hoped for them to be the same person initially. Both the MLs also had quite an interesting story to their parts. I particularly love how the FL tried everything she didn't dare to do in reality in the novel world~ A lot of troupes but she has her way of tackling it!
What I felt kind of emotional about was the fact that Qing Feng (2nd ML) had to become a "floating" character from stories to stories because his original novel did not have a ending... Honestly he's quite the charming guy where he actually regained conscious from his story setup at some point and acted much more freely in the novel!
Really recommended for everyone to watch which I kinda regret not watching it during its release! Now I'm still feeling the aftertaste of this drama, some sweetness and some bitterness because 2nd ML could only stay as a fictional character~ I almost thought he would appear at the very end to show that actually he is real person in reality too...

Watch it if you like great visuals! Plot is pretty mediocre...
Hmm just finished the drama and to be very honest this drama does have many loopholes and entire script was rather on the surface/predictable plots but I still enjoyed it given that there are many familiar faces in this cast and acting wise is fine with me :)I know many people criticized them for the unrealistic martial arts choreographies and "plagiarized" script lines but other than that is definitely watchable for me. For the rumored "plagiarized" parts, I don't really care because only the insiders know what's going on and since all scripts has to go through multiple revisions, thus end outcome only production teams know. For the stun choreography and visual effects, I would say it's very much westernized like the ones you will in a western movie.
For me, I just didn't like the fact this drama's scriptwriter made most of the supporting characters' part very superficial and super little screen time even though the novel had much more elaborations of them... If you are just watching for Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi then you will love it since all the damn plot focus and screen time is on them.
Most of the parts that I found it really predictable was Han Pu, Bai Lang Hua and Hua Chun Ran's character setup. Han Pu being the only child character typically always gets sacrificed in the end to push for main plot's development... Lang Hua's the super typical "brat" character that usually makes no sense in whatever they do in the most dramas' plot but always gets added in to make the casted characters look more "diverse"... I particularly felt a pity for her character since they could have made her more wise and having faith in Bai Feng Xi's moral values, like seriously Bai Feng Xi has always been a very protective and loving elder sister to the sect and there is no reason for junior sect members doubt her actions... For Hua Chun Ran, hmm I don't know but she character's plot seems to be have gotten much deleted parts to the point that she became like an extra for the story...
Overall I would say the scriptwriters did do a bad job given that it's one of Tencent's big budget project on the year... But since I'm familiar with most of the casts and how they performed generally, their acting and overall stun moves are ok for me.

Be prepared for a emotional rollercoaster ride through a very realistic and logical plot!
Just completed the drama today and am currently feeling so empty after watching such a "emotional rollercoaster ride-like drama"... Honestly I won't say the ending is bad or what, I'd say it's a rather down to earth and realistic ending given the time period it was set in for the story.A lot of viewers kept spreading unfounded rumors that Baek Yi Jin "committed suicide" due to growing depression symptoms but please watch closely in the scenes... He is not dead because if he did, it would have been a big news and Na Hee Do's daughter who read the diary would have known as well when she searched him up on the internet. In fact, it was implied in one scene when Hee Do encourage him to receive therapy when he's in the US showing that Baek Yi Jin wasn't aware he was showing depression symptoms... The moment he realized his mental issues and finally knowing why they should break up is when he cried and told Hee Do shall not put each other through suffering anymore. The current Baek Yi Jin is more like someone who is living in the memories of the diary.
I think it's a very true reflection of our lives and the society. I cried a lot when Yu Rim and Hee Do prepared a cake for the two friends who quitted school on the same day telling them it's a fresh start to their new live instead of what our society always telling young people like them that there is no future once they gave up what they have to been doing.
Highly recommended to watch and I really love all the casts' chemistry and the completeness of this story!

Super SATISFYING drama in a while!
Great drama in terms of depths of story and characters' growth! I think it's like becoming trend in Korea to have antagonist-like leads which I like it, lesser on the pure good against pure bad kind of plot setup. Though it's quite a serious drama that touches a lot on sensitive topics like the corruption and power abuse within military, there are still quite a few comical moments that helped to wash away the heaviness of the plot. What I really like about this drama is that they made a lot of effort depicting all characters' growth in a logical way as the story progressed to which I really felt sad for Noh Tae Nam towards the end after realizing he was actually all alone growing up. Nobody was there to teach him the right things nor was there any emotional support given to him when he needed it except for his only pet dog... At some moments his situation made me feel how great would it be if someone nice actually appears in his life to truly care for each other.
So what I didn't really like was the sudden background music whenever they had an important moment... Wish the sound effects could be more subtle to suit the serious ambience.
Though not much romance going on until like last episode, I really like the main leads' chemistry and their hidden feelings for each other~
But honestly I applaud for the drama's courage to speak so much about such topics which you may never see in another country's drama/movie production~ Guess only Korea really goes all out with depicting social issues and political corruption.
