Love is Love and in the end, it will always win!
Bad Buddy Series is standing out in the BL genre like a diamond in the rough and for very good reasons. For one, the onscreen couple Ohm Nanon is an awesome force! I can’t resist falling in love with them since the series started. I have been a huge fan of Ohm since He’s Coming To Me and wow this boy is flawlessly talented. His acting skills have won him awards so I was a little worried Nanon wouldn’t measure up because I haven’t seen any of his shows. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Nanon is a powerhouse just like Ohm and what a searing chemistry these two have. There were several memorable scenes that were so well done and played with my emotions. My heart didn’t stand a chance. This is a match made in BL heaven! Words are not enough to describe how amazing Ohm Nanon are.
Hats off to P’Aof! He didn’t let those talents go to waste. His direction and romantic story telling is cohesive and effective in its delivery and execution. He kept it simple and easy to follow. It was light, feel good and wonderful in so many ways as it consciously avoided head scratching stereotypes that are so far out from reality. I think this is what a BL should be.
They also found wonderful familiar supporting casts from the friends to the parents. I love Ink Pa so much! WaiKorn (played by Jimmy and Drake) who initially pissed off became lovable in the end.
From the instrumentals used to the 3 main songs (Just Friend, Secret, Our Song), Bad Buddy became a truly enjoyable journey because of the wonderful soundtrack.
Never mind that this love story is nothing new and used the tired old trope of enemies turned lovers in yet another university setting, or if they peppered it with so much PP you’d be absolutely bladdered if you turn it into a drinking game lol!
Bad Buddy was created with so much heart and made me believe in love all over again ! I can’t believe it’s over.
Now time for some rewatch.

Imperfect but ultimately satisfying
Very few series captivated me the way 1000 Stars did. It's not a perfect show and has more than a few faults but the package as a whole more than delivers: unique plot, superb acting and incredible music.
My expectations were initially low, BLs are not exactly my kind of quality entertainment. By the time I discovered 1000 Stars, 3 episodes were released already and I binged watch all 3 in one sitting.
Suffice to say, Friday has been my favorite day after that.
Episodes 1 to 5 are perfection, it's like riding a rollercoaster that's slowly going up, building anticipation on where the series is going. The show makes the best cliffhangers too. Episodes 6 to 9 is when the ride took sudden twists and turns, some I find frustrating to be honest, it was either a yay or a nay ?. But despite everything, the show didn't lose its heart and I was so invested in Pupha and Tian's story that I badly clamored for a happy ending.
Earth and Mixx are a match made in heaven. What a pairing, incredible chemistry! My heart is swelling with happiness everytime they gaze into each other. I am all for that slow burn romance as I personally find it more relatable. It was a good move to focus the story on the leads with no side couples.
1000 Stars also introduced several supporting characters with a heart in the form of Torfun (great girl, I really felt sorry for her), Tul and Longtae (the friends we all need), Khama ever the wisest with his way of words and the best wingman in the Universe, Dr. Nam! They all serve their purpose and no one came across as one-dimensional, you cared for each.
Lastly, the musical score of this series is top-notch, I am enjoying the OST way too much.
A Tale of Thousand Stars deserves all the outpouring love it's getting and rightfully so. May it inspire other upcoming series to elevate the game of story telling. For now, this is my favorite.

Has all the right elements to get you hooked!
GMMTV has done way too many BL with school setting that I really kept my expectations low. A lot of them before and after BBS had terrible storylines and awful acting. So I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode. They delivered and sustained it each week that I was soon invested. The incredible chemistry of Gemini and Fourth was enough to carry the whole show. The dialogues were heartfelt, natural, and funny. How many times did I laugh when Tinn was throwing tantrums while lying on his bed? The comedic timing worked. They can also demonstrate a whole rainbow of emotions especially Fourth. His eyes were so expressive, he can make me feel things without talking.
The gang of friends were also very entertaining. While I thought WinSound was not given enough screen time to develop, each member of the Chinzilla band brought something special to the show. The story of their friendship was earnest and well done even if most of the time they were endlessly fighting and bantering with each other. Mark as Tiwson was really a standout. He was effortless in his delivery and is so darn cute. He needs to lead his own BL soon. That boy is a star. Lastly, the two women playing mothers were golden. They strongly delivered the importance of acceptance and unconditional love, an important aspect that needs more representation.
Music is such a treat, the very best a BL can offer. Some of the songs were very well done and demand repeat listening. GMMTV really raised the bar high on this one and was one of the show's stronger elements that got me hook from the start. My favorite vocalists were Fourth and Ford. Ford's voice is smooth like butter.
The story was very lighthearted and ordinary. I wasn't an avid fan of the repeated tease that led to the kiss. While other viewers may find it adorable, I found myself rolling my eyes. It didn't bother me too much though. With colorful characters, great acting, and catchy tunes, MSP is a beautiful coming-of-age series that demands to be watched.
I can't wait for their feature in Our Skyy2.

Seriously Underrated Gem
The plot is not very promising as I am not a fan of ghost stories but I continued watching because the two leads look cute together.I didn't expect it will hit me so hard. This is a seriously underrated gem and I am so glad I discovered it. The main and supporting casts are stellar and while the story is simple, the execution is flawless.
I'm not exactly a fan of Singto but he is quietly convincing here as the softie ghost, a huge improvement from SOTUS where I find him wooden.
Ohm is such a remarkable actor and he shines bright in whatever scene hes in. His talent is out of this world. He is killing it here. His monologue on the rooftop scene was so convincing I couldn't help but feel hurt for him.
The coming out scene with his mom was so natural and heartfelt that it will tug anyone's heartstring. Ohm succeeds in displaying a wide range of emotions so effortlessly that he's no doubt one of the very best actors out there. He deserves more opportunities.
I wasn't surprised to find out P'aof directed this and wrote the screenplay. He is good at reflecting the journey and struggles of being gay that is so relatable. I am a huge fan of his work because it stays away from toxic and unrealistic tropes. That ending though was a dud and completely unnecessary. Up to that point, the story was excellent.
Still HCTM is simply one of the best BLs out there.
