Everything is perceived in a relative manner !
I stumbled across a feed post that said subs out, saw LDW and here we are !This movie does not know where it stands and it has no say of it own it's just trying to be everything we see in the western films which go out and portray lives of single people as lonely and give out a message that there are people that surround you even in the dark or like the ones where they tell you to value people and one of the main character sets an eg themselves !
- the false hope kinda movies where after everything the boy falls for a girl - a sudden twist like a lie or anything to draw them apart and they suddenly mature and get together by the end - TYPICAL HALLMARK MOVIES! And no denial they have an audience of their own and people love them because they are done right.
but am I the crowd , NO! so apparently I should have bothered doing some research instead of jumping, which I usually do but I did not IDK why lord nvm that ...also I rarely watch kmovies so I am not sure what they do there generally but I just wish it had a few brainers bec for me the movie was too dumb!
The fl looked dishevelled, like wtf they did with her hair and clothes - no sorry that's not how editors generally look - she lacks the basic confidence - okay she is good at her job and what else - no personality ??? - just being dumb and drunk that's her thing.
yk when she actually takes a stand for her self by that time I rarely cared. she could be bad at love and taking hints but that's not how she is shown. instead the figure that comes to life for viewers is like she's a lost cause and has nothing of her own so poigant !
the ml was supposed to enjoy single life - like he doesn't seem to be doing so - he look's pathetically alone with no people no friends and more like he's a social star right - does he even look like he's enjoying posting ? he's not happy and please don't portray that single people can't be happy they can be and fuck can they are happy ! it's a choice ! - like in short he's just being pathetic !
the side characters -- omg they all have no personality - like i get that it's general for nerds to read books and be in the business but nerds can dress up and have a fucking personality - i am a book reader myself and I sure don't look like that, sorry bitches get things straight before you work on another project like that !
The only thing I liked about it was the message that everything is relative and what people remember is based on how they feel at present and it can't be the reality of it all ! - it's subjective !
all in all if you are trying to copy HALLMARK - better do a good job next time or I am literally skipping kmovies !

It takes more courage to let go than to hold on…!!
The show in itself does not come up with a plot that you might have not come across ….ghosts, spirits, exorcism ….they make up the everyday of drama land, but then you get something unique in every show ….and here as well you come across a different way of exorcism ….you’ll know when you watch it ….and I hope you do ….All the characters did a great job with their respective roles and here I am including the ghost ( I mean guest ) appearances as well ….the only issue I have is, with the villain ….somewhere I felt that the extent of villain’s heinous deeds felt too much for the actor to bear ….as someone who’s been in drama land for a while I must say the villain here was really flat in terms of acting ….he couldn’t grab my attention and most of the time I couldn’t reason with him, probably because of the portrayal …..I really felt that the motive given wasn’t enough to do what he did ….and I think I’d blame it on the actor …..more cuz he isn’t a beginner in acting ...so maybe I was expecting a bit more, for I have seen the same motive being justified through solid acting, so maybe they picked the wrong person.
As for other things I was actually happy with everything, even after having watched so many ghost dramas I was happy with the freshness in the narrative.
With all those sub-stories knit together through the main story, with no unnecessary romance angle being introduced between the leads, with flawed characters trying to make things work ...with complex emotions conveyed in simple ways …this was definitely a worth watch.
With fantasy plots I usually feel that they often lack detailing but this time the show does a decent job …. Things related to the rules and working of the ghost world and exorcism were explained well …and the ultimate message of letting go was strongly focused throughout the show. Also there is something I must mention ….as someone who loves to kick annoying characters out of the screen ….I was actually looking for characters that I can skip through ….but surprisingly none of them were annoying …it’s actually something I really appreciate in a drama-side characters appearing when required and not uselessly fooling around for the sake of screen time…!!
So to summarize if you are new to k-drama world ….well this show is really a good pick ...and I’d strongly recommend it to viewers who adore fantasy and horror plots. The villain might not be up to the mark but even then the show is really something you should try out, at least once .…cuz you always have the option to drop it ...but in my opinion that option won’t be needed
I hope you enjoy the show and have a good time watching …!!

Typical cliche's put together in a not so typical way !!
Well deities getting involved with humans ...not so new ....the deity that writes your destiny getting involved in your life ....this is new in my opinion ...which is why i began this in the first place ....as to whether you should watch it or not is totally up to you ...
as i already told the story presents cliches and tropes in a new way ...but then they are cliches at the end .....you can't really say that you'll feel different when you watch them being presented in a new way .
with the rating..... i usually rate romances a bit low so this one actually managed a good spot ...
REASONS :
just 10 eps and 30 mins each what more do i want ....this attracts a binge watcher like me ...on top of that plot sounds interesting ...!!
the cast did a decent job and i don't think i have anything to complain against them ..ofc i'd hope to see them doing different projects in the future .
the characters were not annoying ....not too deeply written but ofc since they did not have too much time ... i did not expect much of depth and back story and i think it didn't really affect the whole thing....also as a person who gets annoyed easily .... since they managed not to annoy me ...they deserve credit ...!!
i liked the fact that most of the screen time was given to ML and FL and the side characters appeared when required .... and did not roam on my screen randomly ...i actually appreciate this !!
some good lines .....i like it when dramas have these beautiful lines , it makes a drama more interesting for me ....
“If first love comes true every time there’s first love, the world would cease to exist.”
“If you’re meant to be, you’ll end up meeting in one way or another.”
WHY NOT A 10/10 ?
for me some sort of plot establishment was missing ....i wanted to know about the deities and their world a bit more.
the rules and their working .....i would have found it more interesting if they gave me some details .
some things were done in a hurry and could be explained a bit more ....like the story of ML and FL falling in love and the events later ....they were not so well written and i hoped that i could get a bit more for that part .
so to sum up go watch it if you think the plot sounds your taste and you are okay with cliches done in a new way .

Light Shop: Entre a Vida e a Morte

You have to find your light , No matter what !
Every once in a while you come across a show where you have no idea what is going on but you hang in there curious enough ...and oh man ...a lot of disappointments but once in a while you end up in "absolute awe of what you saw" and that my friends brings us to light shop !!Light shop is not just an everyday drama about what happens in the afterlife ...yeah well no one knows but if a speculation as believable as this is put across I wonder do we actually not know ?
okay so I have no idea how am I to convince you for watching a show without giving away about it (I think that's why all the synopsis about the show are just so fucked up) ...and can't you all take my word for it ...COME ON GO WATCH IT ...PLEASE ...!!!
if that didn't work, then you are just being mean ...but let me try again -
Light shop is a show about the dead but also about the living ...it is a show that promises hope ...a light, in the darkness that surrounds ...it gives you a way to believe that you can make it ..that in fact ,if you " will" ...you will make it ! But it's not your happy go lucky show ...and tragedies aren't just one sided ..they mostly do never have "a happy end" so what do we get then ...
what remains is -- the infinite hope ! Hope of the living ...hope of the dead !
Enough of the poetic expression of my love for the show ....
Light shop is the brightest shop in the dark alleyway that is somehow (ask geometry) situated near everyone's home ...you pass by it a lot of times but only if you "will" you shall find your light here...managed by a suspicious enigmatic man this shop is your one stop solution for lighting ....and oh the aesthetics. While the dead look for their own stuff and the living look for their own this shop is not just lights ...it's stories ....stories that are heart wrenching and stories that promise hope ...stories that are lot more than just stories ....
Here you sign up for a tightly packed mystery driven narrative with a horror backdrop garnished with tragedy and chills, you are in for the emotions it promises.
While initial eps might seem a bit difficult to follow if you let curiosity take the better of you ...be prepared with tissues for the finale !
There are a lot of them that will not seem connected initially and you may not be initially interested in any, but give it time ...as the layers unfold you will reach at a point where even if you were not paying a lot of attention you will be able to connect the dots. It will be easy enough to figure out and while you come up with your own conclusions you will deduce that a lot of them were there served to you right from the beginning.
what made me the most interested was the realization that 72 hours ...the 3 day Korean funeral which I think everyone follows in different forms actually relates to the 72 hours post operative care, 72 hours the golden period of making it through (i hope the lil fact check that I did ...had me with the correct facts) ....This show brings this forth so beautifully.
The depth in the narrative where every detail is paid attention to (another example like ...you have to find your light on your own)...all the answers are handed out by the end very subtly ....you still crave for more ...in a way that you didn't know ....this is a must watch !!
....so when are you visiting the ....the light shop !?

Each cine-drama in the trio is set in a high school, depicting tales of old spirits and secrets that have been long buried in the scene - until now.
The second in the trio - A Child Who Would Not Come …
This one isn’t full of ghosts or spirits and isn’t dark ( literally) ...and has you in this constant debate where you try to fit logic so as to come to terms with the fact that maybe this one isn’t a horror drama even when you have read the genre ...and know that the trilogy is about ghosts and spirits …
This was something I liked about it ….
Apart from this the cast did a great job especially ML (pitch-perfect-creepy) ... you’d never feel like the cast is full of rookie actors ...and the ending ...oops….it’s awesome ….lol (what did you expect, I told you this isn’t scary but it’s quite good I still feel it should have more viewers .... let’s not get to that)
Also potential triggers ….bullying and violence and a pinch of stalking ( ahh weren’t you waiting for me to say this ...of course no school in k-drama land exists free of bullies …it’s possible to not have a ghost in a horror drama but it’s impossible to have a school free of bullies, you still love drama land don’t you, lol )
Also you guessed it right ..if it has bullies, the story is gonna revolve around outcasts ...yep ...but it got more …!!
Re-watch value ….this one has it higher than others...cuz you already know what’s going on from the moment you dive in ...so it’s not like mystery exposed ...and now you can’t watch it again ….
The ML’s acting is worth a re-watch …!! ( even tho I never re-watch shows and won’t re-watch this either ..and you people haven’t watched it even once ...why am I even talking about this)
If you are watching it ...I hope you enjoy …

who are we to decide how valuable that one day is for the patient and their family.....
-Two lives, one heart ...that’s the most perfect title for the drama for every decision affects two patients...and every doctor will have to make a decision: who should you choose ?... Can those decisions be emotionally influenced ?... Is revenge more important than life? you’ll find all the answers you are looking for in the drama. The drama sheds light on corruption and moral dilemmas. As someone who enjoys watching medical dramas, every now and then I randomly pick a medical drama….and I guess most of you might agree that medical k-dramas have a different vibe of their own.
As for when we talk about this show I’d first of all mention that I found it slow-paced ...as a 2x speed binge-watcher I can tell you I’d have given up on 2nd/3rd ep if not for 2x ….that being said don’t think that I did not enjoy the show ….I have a different love for med dramas that keeps me close to them and this show does quite well in med aspect ….cuz if it did not there was no way I was going to watch a slow-paced drama centered around corruption and politics.
The characters here will drag you in their dilemma ...for everyone has a story …a different angle to the same set of happenings …which is quite interesting to watch
Before I talk about the leads in the drama I’d like to mention that the side characters are likable ...with their limited screen time they create really beautiful moments that have you waiting for their appearance ….
Back to lead characters:
Choi Seok Han: he’ll literally drive you crazy ...in a good way ...every time he makes a decision you’ll be like ….wait what ..no there’s something more ...there has to be a reason ...that can’t be it...you’ll want to but you won’t be able to hate him.
Park Tae Soo: You can call him our typical drama land doctor ...for he’s that - save the patient no matter what you get yourself into type doctor ...his character might sound like you know what he’s gonna do in the show...and that’s true ...you do know what he’s gonna do in the drama ...for maybe I’d have liked him more if there were more shades and layers in his character….not to mention what was given was good as well.
Yoon Soo Yeon: Was she the main character? ...at times she felt like a side character ...for her story had so much to explore and I was looking forward to her character… I don’t know if it’s the writer or the actor to blame ….but I am disappointed
The story is intriguing and gripping ...the medical and political aspects are done well and the overall vibe of the drama is really good.
All in all the drama is worth watching ...even after me having stated so many flaws if you ask me I am happy that I gave it a try ...see it more like a med drama than a political plot ….try to think in character’s shoes ...and I am sure you’ll enjoy watching.

Each cine-drama in the trio is set in a high school, depicting tales of old spirits and secrets that have been long buried in the scene - until now.
The first in the trio ..."8th anniversary" ….the best one according to me
So this one has it all hooked from the start ...short and to the point ...As expected from a horror story, the drama was often dark (literally) ...at times it would go in circles but end up at a different route every time ...a bit predictable, a bit unpredictable …
Although the story is on the familiar theme of exorcism and revenge (or rather karma?) There were other rules such as the 8th year trial and a new way to look at serial murders …(that was one of the ideas I loved ...not too much given attention to, but was quite fresh ) Nevertheless, it is still the typical story of ghosts possessing someone to take revenge.
So for people who like to watch horror movies and dramas ...this one could be a good choice cuz of it’s refreshing end ...but people who have a soft heart and do not like bloodshed ...you can enjoy the other lighter ones …
It’s not like the series will leave you scared or yelling….at least not me ( as someone who doesn’t even blink at sudden appearances/bloodshed on screen ...it was kinda okaish ...not too bad ...cuz I have seen even worse ...and thought how in the world they dare to add horror as genre)
So if you are looking for seriously scary stuff ...look elsewhere( tho if you aren't new to horror you might not find any...lol) ...but if you have nothing to watch or can’t decide ...ofc you can try this out ...it actually holds well considering it’s only 2 eps !!
Re-watch value ...after you know everything ...I don’t think there’s any need to re-watch ...since they don’t have too many petrifying scenes ...almost zero re-watch value (more like it’s quite a rare possibility you find it for the first time considering it’s viewership)
If you are watching it ...I hope you enjoy …

Being remembered by that one person ….the most realistic and simple wish complicated by fate !!
Not some out of the world shit here ….but just something I’d consider worth my timeStory :- Baek Sung Hyun and Han Ji Ah who have been friends since childhood and end up drifting apart, walking out of each other’s lives for good after sharing a sweet young love. But does it end there …(it’s dramaland ...so ofc they’re bound to meet again …!!)
Recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, Seung Hyun is now a man struggling to hold onto the memories he holds most dear. As the memories of his time with Ji Ah begin to fade, fate steps in, in the most unexpected way. Bringing Seung Hyun and Ji Ah together once more, the two have a chance to rekindle their long-lost love. But the time they have together is short....Living with a terminal illness, Ji Ah knows her time with Seung Hyun is limited but the knowledge only serves to make their time together that much sweeter. Cherishing every moment, the two are determined to make the time they have together unforgettable.
As I already said it’s not something very fresh that you have never come across or some out of the world stuff ...it just presents reality in the most beautiful and heartbreaking way ….you know what’ll happen but you’ll still wish for a miracle …
Will your wish be granted …??
why don’t you check for yourself ...
Acting:...decent ...I could see some scope for improvement ...but then it wasn’t bad so I think that it’s okay and you’ll be fine if you are not the type to nitpick on every trivial thing.
The pacing is almost perfect if you ask me, sometimes even a slow pace feels apt ...cuz it actually depends on what you are watching …
...all in all it’s just a beautiful movie ...which reminds us that everyday is precious and every memory is special.
… memories, even if forgotten, once existed ...your heart will never forget the emotion ...even if your brain doesn’t remember the reason …
So cherish what you have ...and make the most out of the given time …for you never know what awaits !!

In the Hierarchy of kdramas this will not have a memorable spot !
I mean who didn't sign up for the eye candies and tbh we all know we loved it somewhere ....then the thinking brain comes into play and maybe just maybe ruins your watch experience because well -- we all need a plot ( and it can't be just hot oppas) !The plot was all over the place or maybe non existent-- we can say a highly westernized drama like elite gets a kdrama touch and again Netflix saves the day with it's visual appeal but for how long will they dwell on such script-less dramas !?
story -- just like always we have a teen drama where everyone is pretending to be an adult ! -- a rich lifestyle and parties traded with mental health and freedom and there comes a variable -- a literally poor one this time ! it's not a revenge story of a poor puppy in the realm of rich brats knocking them down it's a damsel in distress romance and by the end very much a "MORAL SCIENCE " lecture !
So let me tell you my expectations with this and then we'll progress to how disappointed I was with this !
I was looking forward to having a visually stunning and planned nerve-racking revenge plot that will go down in the books-- a romance that shatters the foundation of this well build school and all it's riches !
but in turn --
This show stands out as a perfect example of DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER ! -- while in the initial stages the show is very promising of all your expectations it falls flat on it's face by the end ! -- the mystery the villains the chemistry the storyline everything !
I would have appreciated if background for characters was explored in depth-- like he's not just the always happy guy , she's not the always untouchable queen and the perfect prince or so and so ! - i wanted to know them for who they are and not just what the world knows of them it kind of weakened their role and made them superficial !
What I liked -- the actors ! -- all of them give their best ! all the eye candies perfectly in place even to the side characters !
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE -- (oh hell we have a list) --
THE CONFUSION -- They should tell me who do I root for, the writers themselves got confused mid way about their final ship !
THE FRIENDSHIP -- either shallow or deep -- there's not supposed to be an in-between -- cuz there is no in-between !
THE VILLAINS -- even tho i was disappointed by the story -- their acting disappointed me even more !
THE REVEALS -- even if there was a strong build up that had my attention -- they revealed it in the dumbest and most convenient way possible !
THE MOTIVES -- it was just so weird for everything to be that predictable and illogical by all means !
THE TEENS -- man never for a moment they behaved their age (and i don't mean the parties !)
THE END -- They did not have to have me so uninterested in the ending and make it so over the top !
THE MAIN CHARACTERS -- (I'll put it in a spoiler tag comment )!
Overall this is the drama that you normally dote on -- if western, so i can't say I am disappointed but then if you are a kdrama fan then you don't look forward to western touch I mean I would love more netflix productions and high budget hyped shows with the most amazing cinematography but ones that do have substance !
Please watch it -- do not look for a plot -- just enjoy the ride you have in front of you -- do not get your hopes up due to initial eps ...I am hoping you'll love it if you follow this !!!
my fav line --
"I want to protect him even if it means to give up all I have - I want to protect him because he's all I have" !

Each cine-drama in the trio is set in a high school, depicting tales of old spirits and secrets that have been long buried in the scene - until now.
The third in the trio - Karma, what goes around comes around !
This is the last one ...and maybe the one I found a bit uninteresting ...tho that might not be the case for you ...maybe you’ve read about me telling you that I liked 8th anniversary the most ...I guess I know why ….it had this constant spree of ghost’s popping up on my screen ….which I really liked ..this one also has it similar ..but I guess my rational brain ( which should be working at all places except dramas but will do quite the opposite ) felt sad when it realized that things could be logically explained ….ahh I wanted them to have some more ghosts and less logic ….if you are confused about what I am talking ...just ignore me ...cuz if you understand ...you’d also be sad …!!
So in short the ghosts here can be logically explained …(does that even make sense …)
Well this one has this school backdrop but is more like a detective drama throughout ...where teachers instead of teaching do all sorts of nuisance ...but well it’s drama land and who said teachers can’t be part time electricians and detectives ?
It’s a good watch if you don’t think of it as a horror and ghost story ...the acting is decent and re-watch value ...quite less …none really ...
This one got a pinch of bullying again …( it’s like salt in the vegetable called school k-drama according to our writers…. how in the world does it fit you without salt )
What goes around comes around ..karma ..the central message is made impactful ...but I would still say this one was my least fav among the three ….but to each its own ...you’ll never know until you try !!
If you are watching it ...I hope you enjoy …
