Would definitely recommend, even to non BL fans
So this is my first review, and I normally avoid doing them, but I really love this drama way to much not to. I went into it not really expecting to find anything really gripping, but BOY was I wrong. Literally everything about this drama had me captivated from the first episode. It made me laugh my butt off at some parts, cringe from emberassment at others, and bawl like a baby at others.
Story:// 10/10
Mes is a ghost who isn't quite sure why he can't move on. Than is a boy who can see ghosts. As a child, he would visit Mes and leave him snacks, and as an adult ends up inviting the spirit into his home. They live together and develop a deep friendship - which eventually turns to more - all whilst trying to help Mes move on. It's kind of cliche, but the execution is unique and absolutely delightful.
It may be BL, but that's not the main focus. It seems to focus more on friendship and cherishing those you hold dear, and includes mature and realistic themes such as coming out to your parents, delivering all of this without being your typical dramatic and cheesy BL. It has it's fair share of fluff, but this one is a slow burner!
Acting/Cast:// 9.5/10
There wasn't a single actor here who didn't carry their part. I first saw Singto in Sotus, though in my opinion he was much better here! He played Mes perfectly; every emotion he portrayed seemed so genuine. The rest of the cast did wonderfully as well, especially Guy and Ampere (the actors for Mes' spirit friends). For characters seen so rarely compared to Mes and Than, they're just as memorable and charming. The chemistry between everyome was amazing as well! There were a few awkward spots here and there, but in general it was wonderful.
Music:// 7.5/10
I'm generally pretty picky with music in general, but most of the music in this drama seemed to fit the moods and the scenes they played for. Not the best, but quite nice.
Rewatch Value:// 10/10
I would definitely rewatch this, and actually am at the moment. This is my favorite drama and will never cease to be so. Hopefully now that I've already gone through the heartbreak of the last few episodes, it won't hit me as hard this time.
