After the rage and fury of earlier episodes, comes the sadness as things come to an end. Beautiful poignant performances from both leads. Tantai Jin inability to accept death as the end was inevitable with his experiences and upbringing. The editing seems choppy here but something had to give to accommodate 40 episodes. For our story, we do nor need to see more of the demise of the failed coup.
Half way into the series and it’s still doing it for me. This is a kdrama that deals with loss of loved ones. How the ones left behind deal with the aftermath. Sending off those that died well. Other than the episode with the partner who lost wife and child, this is probably one of the most touching episodes so far. I feel the pace of resolving things is fine. I may feel differently next episode but I’m hoping the preview isn’t quite telling me everything.Lovely performances by the child and the two leads in this episode. You want to wrap them all in a big hug.
