Sweet but conflicted series with a mixed ending
This series has a genre fusion that is not very common, quite rare actually. This type of mystery story with a simple and sweet main lead tends to take the story in 2 different directions which makes the audience a bit confused.
From the start of the series, it felt as if the series won't have a proper happy ending as the non-existing love triangle was too complicated and it will be very difficult for the writers to solve it to have a proper happy ending.
Even with a complicated story, one thing I love about the series is how some of the things are presented, tofu's character definitely being one of them. Beautifully crafted.
Story & Direction:
I find the seed story to be too unrealistic. Even for something scifi, you need to give proper explanations of how it came into existence, till the final episode there were still so many questions unanswered, which was a bit too late. Teddy ability to talk to things in the house is unrealistic again, especially since he turned into a human.
When it comes to direction & editing, I think there are just too many flashbacks and many of them weren't timed properly.
Another thing is Nut's character, it always felt like Nut's character played 2 roles that were not merged properly. His angry role was a bit extreme, making him look like an a**hole in many scenes. However in some other scene when the character is supposed to be angry, he was presented in a comparatively calm manner making the angry extreme a bit illogical.
I really like that it's not based on university but more on the work environment.
Also, it felt as if Ken's character would have looked better without glasses.
What I liked:
* Non-University BL
* Beautifully Crafted character
* multiple episodes released per week
* not just focused on BL
* even though it's not a proper happy ending, I liked it
What I disliked
* only homosexual couples (at the end, another homosexual couple was added)
* dual nature of nut's character
* unrealistic scenes
* too many flashbacks
