All the Potential, None of the Pay Off
I honestly had high hopes for this one after seeing clips from it on social media platforms. But at the end of it all... I was left severely underwhelmed.Like the title says... it had a lot of potention to be good... but it didn't pay off in the end. At least not for me anyway. The plot was good... but filled with holes. I think that episodes being only 5-8 (ish) minutes of actual drama hindered it... especially with the last episode which could have some explanations as to how things happened.
Don't get me started on the plot twist... it was unnecessary.

You will need tissues
I will admit that it took me a long time to progress from episode 1 to episode 2 cause I couldn't just get into the story. I was a little unsure of what to think about it. But then I actually said "I'm going to finish this" and for me it took a couple more episodes before I was able to be fully invested and by then... there was no turning back.Like the headline says, you will need tissues because you will cry/tear up multiple times through watching, especially in the latter half. I love the combination of romance with drama with crime investigation.

Had Potential
I usually like this kind of Japanese drama, so I had slight high hopes going into this. But boy... was I let down. I don't know what I disliked more... the overused storyline, the female lead (FL) or the flip flopping of the villain/bff. Maybe if there was more time per episode or more episodes it could've been something worth the time I spent watching but no... not this. I especially don't like how the FL instantly jumped into another man's bed when what happened happened.
I will say though that the sex scenes were very tastefully done yet still sexy at the same time.

Great Cast
I will admit that I started watching this drama because of Ji Chang-wook... and it took me a LOOONG time to finish, but was worth it in the end. When I started it I didn't realize that Kim Ji-won was in it and I'm not a big fan of hers (to this day I've only liked her in Descendants of the Sun) and I think that is a reason why it took me so long to finish this drama. It's overall a really, really good drama. The format takes a little bit of getting used to but it's definitely worth a watch.

Esta resenha pode conter spoilers
Let me be honest by saying that I watched this drama because of Jia Nai Liang because I liked him in another drama I saw. That being said... I have a few issues. First off, the female lead was... well lets just say she could've been better. The actress was good don't get me wrong... it's just the character I have an issue with. Like, how could she not put all the clues together to get that Mr. Xi was Elvis? She only ever saw the negative in him until all of the sudden she likes him. Parts of her character just make no sense and I get it that she's got some trauma from what happened before she left for abroad, but she CONSTANTLY misunderstood people. I also have issues with Yali... but I could be here for HOURS listing everything wrong with her.
Secondly, this was another drama that although it was good... it was too long drawn out. Not to mention the last few episodes centered around Yang Kai's issues not our leading couple and felt like they weren't really supposed to be there. Like what was up with Piao Zheng suddenly going to Africa as well as the sudden hair change for YK and Anjie's bestie Mo Jia Zhen (and the sudden change back for MJ)? Continuity seemed a bit off.
In conclusion, the story is good... both the romance and the revenge parts. I just feel like it could've been condensed, the female lead could've been a bit less pathetic (Yali too).
