A little gem
OMG, that was amazing! One of those dramas that just warms the heart..makes you want to smile the whole time and tear up momentarily at times, and all at once… visually beautiful, nice music, a great pace and flow, and great acting…well done!I like the pairing of the couple… I like that there isn’t the height difference thing, which can work, but kind of reminiscent of M/F pairings… also that their vulnerabilities are laid bare, and are the essence and their differences of character in the story, even though on the surface they may seem very similar…

Worth it after all…
I hesitated a lot to watch this, knowing that one of the characters was already dead. I feel that death doesn’t justify the relationship in the story in most cases, especially when it comes to BL’s, but it’s not the case here. Even though the romantic relationship started after his death, it somehow worked, and the fact they managed to share memories and brought closure for Yun Oh and his mother.Overall this was well done, and felt more complete than other recent Korean BL’s (and other mini dramas) and better acted too. It didn’t feel like an intro drama for a bunch of newbie actors… only thing that bugged me was the dubbing of Yun Oh singing… can’t stand when people singing or playing an instrument can’t convey the emotion or the physicality of playing that instrument etc. but that’s just me nitpicking…

Honestly, the best thing about this was Pooh (and the bakery setting)… the other characters were a little bland… the story was a bit of a mess and hard to believe…. and Punn’s story is never resolved with his mysterious first love… Especially since that was the whole point of the bakery… instead the whole child kidnapping story took over….Also being a remake of the Korean drama Antique Bakery… this version doesn’t even compare… plus baking pastries in a toaster oven?!?!!!! So wrong in so many ways..l can’t take this seriously….plus the acting/ directing/scripting in this is a bit sub par… Singto as a playboy doesn’t work either…still it was watchable, but frustrating….Esta resenha foi útil para você?
