If you want a good revenge story ...
Watch this. Lee Je-hoon is one of the prettiest man to look at - very obviously - but his acting skills shine through with this one as well. I personally didn't enjoy the first season as much as I've enjoyed this one. It was funny, witty, sad and absolutely satisfying for anyone, who looks for a good revenge plot. The characters are relatable and smart, and did I mention that Kim Do-Ki is one of the prettiest people ever? That's that. Loved it!! It might not be for everyone but it was a definite feast for me.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Plot twist!
Synopsis: Soo-Yeon is a 16-year old girl who gets relentlessly bullied. She wakes up in a hospital after a particularly cruel incident and while thinking of ending it all, a mysterious counseling teacher appears on her bedside. The women talks the young girl out of her suicidal plans and starts taking care of her. After a short while, they meet Soo-Yeon's long-lost twin, who -unlike her twin - is a rebellious and reckless young woman. The three of them make a simple but effective plan to take revenge on the bullies.Opinion: The setting was quite dark and hopeless, which suited the storyline. The bullying and overall attitude of the adults managed to make my blood boil, but I honestly couldn't bring myself to care for these characters on a deep level. The acting was okay (a lot of "expressionless-cool/sad-girl" moments) and the music suited the atmosphere. It could've been a good story if there was a little spice, or I don't know, maybe if the movie wasn't that short?
One of the plot twists I saw coming, but the other one was unexpected. The movie touched on a mental illness but didn't fully grasp it. That's fine though, I personally stopped expecting that from my dramas.
Recommended if: you like dark settings, short stories, are into plot twists and like a revenge story with... well, debatable outcomes. If you wanna cry your eyes out, this isn't it, but if you're okay with feeling mildly uncomfy and hopeless the whole time, then give it a go I'd say.

It was good while it lasted....
I had a weird relationship with this show. First of all, I don't usually watch ongoing dramas because I'm waaay to impatient for that type of deal. But I was content watching this show just weekly, you know, like I've been checking in for an hour and then moving on.It was a good show, don't get me wrong. As I stated earlier, it was an enjoyable ride where you don't have to switch to big brain mode. The premise was clear and I actually really liked Fight Club back in the day. But if you are expecting a brainfrick or some major plot twist or even a story without plot holes - don't get your hopes up. Don't expect much accuracy regarding the supposed mental illnesses either. They tried you know - gold star for that :)
I enjoyed this show for what it is and if you're able to do the same: GO FOR IT. Because plainly said, watching Wi Ha Joon and Lee Dong Wook in action was a dreamy experience for my fangirling heart. The relationships and chemistry for all the cast was truly amazing. But my favourite duo was still Oh Kyung Tae & Yang Jae Seon.
So again; if you wanna watch a show while painting your toenails and have some action and fun while not being really invested.. this is the show for you!

I have really STRONG feelings about this movie and heres why...
Let me start off by saying that I absolutely hated this movie but sat through the two hours of torture, expecting something to be better, something, just ANYTHING.I'll make it short: The cast is cute, they look cute together and altogether beautiful people. Yes.
The plot is one of the most boring effing things I've ever seen/heard. I've heard people mumble more interesting things in their sleep.
Main girl has two characteristics, and two only: She is dumb as a rock and obsessed with the main dude. She has no ambitions or anything even resembling a life other than that. Yes we've all been there, we've all been in love and did stupid shit, but this is just a hollow shell of a person that drove me nuts!
Main dude has two characteristics: he is super smart (????) and cold. There is some halfassed sob story to why he is how he is, but it's about as convincing as my new years resolutions. He is absolutely narcissistic and not likeable at all.
Then there is this side dude who would've actually deserved some love, but at some point he just got in a riksha and never came back?
It was really, REALLY frustrating to watch this toxic weird relationship evolve into A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL OUT OF NOWHERE?!??! If this review is confusing, I'm sorry, but I couldn't find any other way to describe this mess. What I'm trying to say is; if you have the emotional capacity of a >14 year old, you're in for an ugly ass ride.

Pleasantly surprised..
I'm not gonna lie: I AM a sucker for a good 20-something friendship drama. If it isn't rainbows and butterflies all the time, all the better!Normally I don't go for short dramas because the characters tend to lack depth in my opinion, but Growing Season was different. It actually managed to make me care for the characters and gave comfort. This drama tackles more adult topics than most kdramas for younger audiences. I appreciated the struggles and the lightness of being young and missed my friends while watching this.
If you liked this short drama and didn't watch "Age of Youth" yet, do it!
