I initially got started into the Asian entertainment, thanks to my husband and getting me hooked on anime (Dragonball Z, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, and Naruto among a few).  Then I started by watching a few Japanese dramas.  After that, I moved onto Taiwanese Dramas.  Now I am mostly a C Drama and K Drama watcher.  I watch wuxia, xianxia, costume (period), and modern C Dramas, (I almost always watch anything with Zhao Lu Si and Bai Lu).  I stick with modern dramas when watching K Dramas. I have watched a couple of costume dramas, but don't enjoy them as much as I do the modern ones.  Almost anything with Park Min Young in it will be a must watch for me.  The more I watch, I have noticed I have tendency to like the historical (costume) political C Dramas more and modern K Dramas, but if the story is good and it usually grabs my attention within the first 1 or 2 episodes I will usually stick with it.  

** A little about me personally, I have been married for 20 years and we have 5 kids.  We actually met while playing online through a MMO game, myself being from Texas and him being from California.  We have lived in California since we got married.**
