I've watched the first season of this drama a while ago and despite of not remembering all the details, I can say that the only thing in common between both dramas is the commet. The story in the second season is completely different, starting from the actors, going through the plot, and obviously the ending.
I actually liked the ending of the first season because it made sense. For example that ending in this second season wouldn't make sense at all.
In the first season due to a commet, the ML travels to a parallel world. BUT he already exists in there. So the two ML are suddenly living in the same timeline, something that obviously doesn't make any sense (in a balanced world) and therefore the ending of the first season was logic and predictable.
In this second season the ML only travels back in time. It's the same world, he has the memories of what happened before the commet, yet he just goes back to a point of the past which is months before the commet incident. There are not two ML in the same timeline, and the ML only tries to avoid the same ending and he wants to find out the conspiracy that ends up with his death (and time travel).
As I've mentioned before, I don't remember the details of the first season since it's been quite a long time. I remember the general story and the impression that it gave me. I liked the first season and I was okay with the ending, because it was the logic thing. However I feel that the chemistry and acting of the cast from this second season is better than the first one. And, at the same time, I prefer a time travel concept instead of a parallel world.
I would obviously change some things, I think they didn't pay attention to a couple details that would have been really interesting. And they also overlooked some stuff, without giving you a background at all. But I still enjoyed it.
*Extra note: A lot of kisses. A LOT. That was a great surprise to me because I wasn't expecting it at all. And nope, not those awkward kisses often displayed in asian dramas.
I am a person that focuses on the visuals and the script, not the music. Therefore I never pay attention to the OSTs. However sometimes there are songs that really get my attention, that I really like, and that I end up looking for on YouTube to put them on my playlist. In this case none of the songs left a great impression on me, so I can't say much about it.
I think I would rewatch it again in the future. Maybe in a year or so, whenever I don't know what else to watch.
