I want to start saying: I don't know why the hell people are not fond of this series.
I come up with 3 points I want to share:
1. The packaging of this series comes with not much happy and fairy-tail ish box. This might why people are not really fond of the story that much. But I think most of the gays can relate to the struggle, dilemma, and how society perceives boy loving other boys.
2. Compare to other BLs, let's be honest Thai series are still learning, developing, and growing. Other Thai series also got some huge and a lot amount of holes in the story. I know that in the middle of this series can be very confusing, and I can understand why people said so. I also agree that this might not be as good as other Thai BL Series like Sotus. Theory of Love, Tharntype, and 2Gether.
3. Acting is on point (except I find Gord a bit awkward) but knowing that Drake and Frank were very new back then in the industry. Their acting and chemistry in this series are top-notch. There are very minimum cringy moments, and all the skinship, the love, the stare, are all-natural and lovely.
Conclusion: This series comes with very real struggle and conflict with family and society like how LGBTQ+ struggle in real life. This is not your typical BLs that all people seem to be okay with a gay relationship. The problem, the struggle, and the denial are real. We can't deny the story can be confusing, as the anger and the character's emotion is over the place. However, overall the delivery of the main actors and supporting actors are great, Drake and Frank definitely have great chemistry together, with fewer even no cringy moments for me which is an achievement. However, the story flows and directing can be better. But overall I am very satisfied especially for Drake and Frank's character and their acting ability. I love it.
