When I began the movie, I didn't have high expectations thinking, "oh my god, this is going to be the best movie with beautifully written scripts and acting!". The reason why is that this is a comedy movie and with actors that are known for acting in silly comedy movies, I knew what I was expecting.
I read that it's based on a UK show with the same title I believe. I have not watched it so I can't say if they're similar in filming. The movie gave off that Sherlock Holmes vibe with the inspector coming into the house for sure though.
This movie definitely funny with the dry humor and slapstick comedy. I'm not sure about others, but I do enjoy those jokes that might be overdone in some movies. This movie didn't do that which I'm glad. I think I laughed louder in the credits because of the NGs.
The plot was great to watch, but at some parts I found myself expecting what was happening and some parts I was confused, but over all I had no trouble following.
*the music didn't give a big impression because i was focused in the acting
If you're looking for an easy casual movie to watch, I recommend choosing this!

Story:
Overall the entire plot was great! I only have a few critics about the ending. I felt that 20 episodes wasn't enough for this drama to unfold. The last two episodes was rushed and it seemed that the production just had to pack everything in. However, the scripts were beautifully written and the actors did an amazing job with presenting what the writers had wanted.
Acting:
Jisung deserves all the awards that comes his way at the year end drama awards, why? Not only did he take on seven different roles, he was able to make me cry throughout the drama. Jungeum was great, but honestly in some scenes her acting was awkward. I feel that Seojoon will be nominated for best supporting role and hopefully he will win them. Then again, for this I'd like to focus heavily on Jisung's acting. No words can describe how amazing he portrayed a man living with DID. They all did an amazing job with presenting what the writers had wanted when making this story plot. My heart ached when they ached and loved when they loved. Is that weird? Props to this amazing cast. One of my favorite casts ever.
Music:
Loved the two main songs that were played throughout the drama. Let's just say the "cool" rap song and the sad song by Myungjin. I recommend not searching the songs until you hear them played in the drama. It will be ten times better afterwards.
I'll definitely rewatch this again when the time comes. It was certainly a different type of drama I didn't expect would be produced. It wasn't as cliche or oddly different than the rest. In my opinion, this did a better job than Hyde, Jekyll and Me.

The acting was enjoyable and hilarious. Especially Jaejoong because it's so rare to see such a popular hallyu star act goofy and take on roles different than the majority of works they've done.
I feel that the plot could of been more developed throughout the story otherwise it would of just been another background noise I leave on my laptop as I do other work. The first bit didn't capture my attention until the main leads were shown. I wished I could of known more about Jackal and again if only they had character development. The movie altogether could of had more variety with filming locations, but I heard that they had a low budget for the movie? If so, it's understandable. Overall this movie came out alright and the comedic bits certainly made up for the boring parts in the movie.
*the music didn't leave a good impression on me so that's why i'm giving it a low score

I recently rewatched Hana Kimi and I was trying to fill the void so I decided to watch this again to see if it was really that bad when I first watched it , but this time it was great to watch. (AND because I loved Yusuke's character in Hana Kimi) I appreciated the characters fully and how the actors wasn't afraid to be over exaggerating and completely goof balls. One thing that could be a little different was Haruna. I mean she's pretty and talented in other dramas, but I felt that the role in this drama didn't suit her.
For the plot it was enjoyable and fun to watch. This drama did follow the anime in some episodes, but not all.
Fun fact: Did you know the guy who played Sano's little brother in Hana Kimi is the guy who played Kyoya in this drama? I had no friggin idea. fangirl mode went through the roof.
I just love how in jdrama actors/actresses who worked together in previous works get to work together again. It happens so often and I love it!

ANYWAY.
I thought that maybe a live action will be horrible for this type of anime or for any anime in all honesty. It's 50/50 (amazing or a total flop) when it comes to live actions because sometimes they can't produce all the things in an anime. For this movie, I was surprised by how nicely the props, costumes and effects were put together.
I loved Hiro as a butler back when he starred in Mei-chan no Shitsuji and couldn't wait for him to act in this one because I loved the character of Sebastian in the anime. In my opinion, Hiro portrayed Sebastian amazingly like heck the guy lost more weight just to take the role! The other people that stared in this movie was a first for me so they didn't leave me a big impression, but the actress who portrayed the maid was spot on! I found that the actress who acted as Ciel was a bit awkward in some parts though.
I think the plot could of been a little more exciting, but the action/fight scenes certainly made up for any of the boring bits.
I would definitely re watch this by myself or with a friend in the future!

Acting:
The main reason why I strayed away from touching this drama was a clip of GHS's acting with her annoying tone she portrayed as YRT/CY and AJH's stutters/mumbles as PJS. My first thought before touching that video was, "hey, it couldn't be that bad...everyone seems to drop this drama at episode 3...cant be that bad, right?" well it was and I didn't even last the entire video. Eventually, I decided to give this drama a try and I recommend just bearing through the drama by ignoring GHS's voice. Just think that maybe after her character learns to be civilized, it'll get better. I understand that she was trying to execute a new acting style, but from episode 1-5, it was too much. As for AJH, it was a surprise after hearing that he would be taking on a lead role after being given minor/supporting roles. He did well in my opinion, but I do agree that he did mumble even though I don't fully speak korean. Overall, the acting was alright, though it could of been better. I did notice that he had body language issues. Most of his scenes where they showed him standing and conversing with people, he stood stiff without moving much. It was kind of boring to watch.
Story:
The story started out exciting with having the child actor as PJS explain what he is and how he felt as someone infected. I knew that the back story will be brought into episode 2+ which was why i decided to stay. If not, I would of dropped it as soon as episode 1 ended. The story was great with the medical sides in between, but after they finished with the medical stuff, I noticed that the majority of scenes were the characters talking and explaining with lots of complicated dialogue. At times, it got so boring I didn't even know what they were discussing. Even the "vampire" transformations was cut down which made the action scenes look petty (explanation will be scene during episode 20) Also, I just wished that they had more freedom on set. All we saw were houses, hallways, hospital rooms and more hallways. Low budget? Don't even get me started on the romance. How did it even start? Wasn't it too rushed when he revealed his most kept secret? Oh man don't even get me started about the ending too.
Positive:
Personally, I hated the ending because of certain cliches, but I feel that what had happened was right. What I liked about this drama was how they showed the importance of cherishing the present and not taking it for granted or changing the life span of a human... basically saying nothing will last forever. I was glad that at some scenes, the other actors/actresses were able to make me cry. Not that I enjoy crying, but if a really heart wrenching scene is able to make me cry, it means they had done well. One thing I can say 100% certainty is that I loved the ost. Tiffany's song is by far my favorite still.
Ending:
Before I told my friends to not watch because of how the acting was and the critics, but now I tell them to just tolerate and ignore the acting until it gets good.
