Way too silly
Watching this is good because there are a lot of pretty girls, though the plot is super childish. Even if there's a plot, it feels like it's written by a bunch of middle schoolers? I could imagine it working for an anime or webtoon but not live action drama. It's too silly. And they keep getting sidetracked, filling episodes with stuff that don't help Ongsa and Sun's relationship. I think this is GMM bad habit. In school or office dramas, they keep filling episodes with activities or events where all characters can participate or load it up with ads. Trying to stretch out the drama until it reaches 12 episodes. How about these writers write better stories? These side characters... Hmmm. They're like caricatures, like they're supposed to be a stereotype; the popular guy with hordes of fan girls, the beautiful and though student president, the socially awkward nerd, the alien-obsessed girl. They have no depth or complexity. High school is more than 10 years ago for me but I don't remember high schoolers to be like this. This is more of a parody of high school. It gets even worse when they get coupled up without sufficient build ups.
I'm sad and disappointed. Disappointed because I was really looking forward to this couple after watching them in Bad Buddy. I thought they had good chemistry. Sad because this is my first GL series and the writers fumbled this hard.

Spreading yourself too thin
I came to watch this cause God knows I can't watch Crazy Rich Handsome and I want to watch LongFrank for the last time. While this is not horrendously bad, this is not something I would rewatch. There are a lot of things unexplained about the vampires and their world. This makes things confusing. That fact coupled with unfunny jokes, too many characters and subplots, ineffective dialogues just make everything worse. This series is stretching itself thin (plot wise) because of being too ambitious even though it's just a mini series. I feel like they're just trying to use as many actors as possible that's why the plot becomes what it is. Relationships feel superficial, lacking bond and depth. The humour for me is not that bad but it's dragging sometimes. The ad at the end of every episode is also cutting the duration of the drama. I'd rather they focus on each couple and their dynamics. If you want certain people to be in relationship, elaborate more on their story. The captain & lieutenant and ZenRan definitely deserve that.

Comedy and Drama that doesn't mix
Most really can't handle the cringe of this series, I can. But even when the cringe doesn't bother me, it's still lacking a lot. It takes a long time for me to finish this.Things I like
The humor. They try to be funny. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I appreciate the effort.
Hia Yi and Kon Diao's interaction when they're not fighting. The hugs and kisses are really cute.
The friendship between Yi and Lian, Diao and Kuea.
Things I Disliked
The whole incident with Lele is nonsensical to me. Why wouldn't they practice extreme caution? Like a 14 year old Yi wants to take him out for a walk, a 7 year old Diao wants to pet him. I think they're old enough to understand that the pet is dangerous. This part really doesn't work for me. Too unbelievable.
Kon Diao's family. Wtf is that. The audacity that they have.
Nat is not that good at acting. He doesn't have enough range of expression. Most of the time it's just a polite smile on his face though the dialogue calls for more.
Casting. Why do Thai dramas cast actors who are way too young to be parents? Especially parents for grown adults. Yi's dad looks too young when you consider Yi is supposed to be around 30.
Diao's indecisiveness. Does he want to get married or not? Is he going to Switzerland or not? Does he love Yi or not? His thinking is hard for me to follow. I really hope rather than trying to solve his problem with his friends, he can try to deal with his family after Yi and Diao are married.
Overall, this drama is too ambitious. The combination of the family drama with the comedy undertone is too much. The beginning is more comedic and it gets serious towards the end, like the drama is made by two different people. I don't know whether I have to take this seriously or not. I thought we could unravel the family and the past properly if we have more episodes.

Action against wrongful doings
A group of people teaming up together to exact revenge is not a new premise. What's interesting is that instead of killing their targets, Avalanche just put their dirty laundry in the media. I like that. Ayano Go is marvelous here and this is my first time seeing Watabe Atsuro as a villain.Characters and their dynamics or developments are very important in measuring how much I would enjoy a drama. Or else I won't care about the plot much. And the team has such a good bond. Though they are an organized crime group, they feel like a family. They cover each other back without question, without hesitation. They laugh together, they bicker. That helps to lighten the somber undertone this drama has. I have so much fun turning the nation upside down alongside the members.
The pace is good, albeit slightly too fast at times. The oldest team member being a naturally chaotic good amuses me to no end. I didn't expect that from him. Such a cool man from Stone Age.
Fighting scenes look fun and satisfying. Habu looks like he's come alive only for those cause usually he looks like he's burdened with the weight of his past. Though Ayano Go still retains some of his usual playfulness even as a the tortured hero archetype.
Every episode is packed with a lot of details. Along with the pace, it makes it very hard not to be glued to my screen.
Watabe Atsuro makes a very formidable antagonist. He's very quick to adjust his plan to match Avalanche movement. He even gets the group scattered around, panicking. Sometimes it feels like all hope are lost. In the end, I wish we would have gotten more reaction from him but I'm glad he's not a sore loser.
I like what they did with the format too. Part 1 is more detective work and part 2 is where the war begins. Episode 0 helps with Habu's perspective.
If there's anything that is lacking it's probably with the character Fujita, I'm not convinced of his motive. His presence cheapens the plot a bit. And I really want closure regarding him. I don't understand why Habu looks up so much to him.
I'm glad Saijo's papa and the journalist did what they needed to do.
This is more of a stream of consciousness during watching the drama, not exactly a proper review. Thank you for reading ~
