3. Messengers
Japanese Movie - 1999
DONE
I finally saw a Japanese actor speak English very well while acting although very little and only a bit of their accent was there. That's the first time I've seen, and from a movie in the 90s too. None of the modern Japanese dramas I've watched had actors speak English because their accent is very obvious.
I liked the end credits scene where the main cast were rapping and I also liked Iijima Naoko's voice. I enjoyed the end credits more because while they were rapping in Japanese, they were speaking english words too.

DONE
Interesting plot but it was ok.

5. Bus Stop
Japanese Drama - 2000, 12 episodes
I haven't watched this yet but it seems like the writer or producer took inspiration from Iijima Naoko's previous film "Messengers" from 1999. The plot in the beginning is very similar to what happens at the start of the film but the roles of the cast are different. Naoko is spoiled and later gets fired or demoted then her boyfriend dumps her because of that. She then meets a poor guy and becomes involved with his work.
