My Top 10 Japanese Dramas Ever
I have a 10 point system of ranking the dramas I watch. There are 10 criteria, each having a possible score of 0 (no point), 0.5 (average), or 1 (full point). It's most definitely skewed towards romantic dramas with beautiful female leads, but also emphasizes story and overall quality of the work. Here are the criteria:
Actor/Actress (Measure of main lead's popularity, body of work, aura, etc.)
Acting (Measure of one's skill, believability, degree of difficulty, etc.)
Beauty (Measure of the female lead's physical appearance)
Location (Measure of the quality and importance of locations, as well as the variety of locations)
Moving (Measure of how and how often I was moved)
Music (Measure based on personal taste, variety, quality, performer, etc.)
Nostalgia (Measure of how much I wouldn't mind watching again)
Production (If a drama breaks 400 minutes, it gets one point. If a movie breaks120 minutes, it also gets one point)
Romance (Measure of the quality and quantity of romance in the work)
Story (Measure of the quality of the story)
