miyaharu's 2020 kdrama faves

sweet home is the first in the list because its hard to move on from it :)) the cast is perfect, all the characters are very memorable, all of em got their own story. each characters also got their own trademark so its easy to remember (batgirl, swordsman, ballerina, hammer guy, bow girl, mechanic, grandpa, etc u know all of em). the duration is not too long (40-50mins) and the episodes only 10. i finished this show on one day, started watching around 3am and finished it  around 2pm. sleep? nope.  even until now (feb 2021) the fandom is still active, posting stuff about the cast ( i saw lots of swords man's photos that his fans got like pics of him during college years and im like?? how andwhere they got all of those pics???) and i still see fanarts and fanfics about the drama too. season 2 is a must at this point.

mystic pop up bar is a beautiful found family story :') the set and prop perfect, colors perfect, the characters costume also very good, especially wol ju and gwibanjang's wardrobe. same like sweet home, all the characters got their own trademark too (wol ju the binyeo, gwibanjang the sword? spear? axe? kang bae is the tree or his supermarket uniform for me) the show is very heartwarming and funny, even tho i skipped some parts bcs for me its "too embarassing to see", still this kdrama is sooooo byootiful and the plot is very unique, the twist is very predictable but we totally love it. i will realllyyy reallly miss them :')

stranger!!!!!!!!!!!!! just stranger. tbh i prefer to use "forest of secrets" rather than "stranger". jo seung woo and bae doona, just!!!! them!!!! perfect!!!!!!!! and seo dong jae is a bby here, less annoying and needs to be protected. just like the first season, the twist of events was written so perfectly imo. the head prosecutor is officially simok's dad and i need to see more of seo dong jae and his wife. REALY CANT WAIT FOR SEASON 3!! just like jo seung woo said, we all gonna watch stranger till the season 5 :)) and i do hope simok will kick yeojin's bullies in the next season.

crash landing on you!!! my parents!!!! hyun bin and son yejin!!! their pic together in the mountains is still my phone wallpaper until now. tbh the most intresting part of this show is during the north korea part. its like we were given the chance? to see whats life in north korea. even tho it might not be accurate, but at least it changed my views towards north korea. i saw a review saying "this show made north korea more "human" and i totally agree. before this show, north korea looks like a very scary place but thanks to this show, i think travelling to north korea and eat naengmyun next to the river sounds like a good idea. and ofc the soldiers friendship, absolute perfect.

hospital playlist :))) a very mundane kdrama. its just how life is. we all wish we have friendship that stays that long. its the show that u will watch again if u dunno what to watch. thanks to this drama too i came to know wangshimni area and will probably visit that place when i go to south korea. and i love the idea of casting a musical actress to be a tone-deaf character. THE SONGS IN THE DRAMA AREE ABSOLUTE PERFECT.
