Good dramas but somehow I dropped it

1. Mate-o
Korean Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
This has so much potential. Nana as an actress is refreshing and new to my eyes and I'm totally looking forward for a more angsty, cool Jang Ki Yong. I like the plot, storyline and the script but totally lost it when Kim Soo Hyun suddenly starts hunting for the little girl from his past. #PerhapsItsDestiny trope.

2. Venha e Me Abrace
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Love the ambiance and the cinematography here plus the kind of childhood friends which didn't forget the faces of each other even after separating for years. I like the suspense type, thriller melodrama style but Ki Joo's character seems unstable at the first few episodes. I'm in the mood for guy-saves-the-girl trope when I watched this so I'm totally looking forward but still dropped.

3. Paixão Incontrolável
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
I'm usually not a fan of super melodrama with lots of sad and tragic scenes so it's a little amusing for me how Uncontrollably Fond picked my interest. I was already on the ship, even disregarded Suzy's acting skills but instantly dropped it the moment No Eul was having this totally crying scene with Shin Joon Young because she was confiused when the other night she was TOTALLY crying also while drunk and was confessing and begging her love for Hyun Woo. I'm not into so much romantic stufff so I kinda didn't get her confused feelings. I was like "Pick one, girl".

4. Vamos Jantar Juntos
Korean Drama - 2020, 32 episodes
Just by reading the plot, I thought Dinner Mate would be included in my favorite dramas. I was looking for a feel-good, healing, food drama after Sweet Munchies and Chocolate so Dinner Mate was a perfect reco. Unlike other dramas in this list, this wasn't an instant dropped, I just somehow got bored and for some reason I couldn't jump into the ship completely. Plus I think Kim Hae Kyung as a psychologist is underdeveloped - this is where I think the boredom roots.

5. Bebendo Sozinho
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
I watched this after the Let's Eat series and since they have almost the same trope, I'm also looking forward to this drama. At the start, I'm already not a fan of Ha Seok Jin. Good thing Park Ha Sun is trying to balance the leads for me. Chaeyeon, Ki Bum and Gong Myung is also making me watch it a little bit longer. Not an instant dropped but I typically got bored with it so I just stopped midway. I feel like nomatter what happens with Seok Jin and Ha Sun there's no way Seok Jin's gonna redeem himself in my eyes.

6. A Lenda do Mar Azul
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Watched this longer than I was expecting. It's a popular drama so I'm expecting an overrated trope however I marathoned the first few episodes (which is kind of a big deal for me). The characters are interesting. Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun are indeed veteran actors for a reason. I appreciated Lee Min Ho's effortless chemistry with any female leads. You can't help but stare at his face especially during close ups (OKAY. I'm stopping the fangirling here). I'm not sure how the story started feeling dull but on the last few episodes, I'm no longer interested whether they end up together or not. Does this mean I'm not that invested into their love story? I'm even more curious about the supporting characters. I'm a calm Lee Ji Hoon, so Heo Chi Hyun is pretty refreshing though not someone I'm fond of. Cheong's BFFs are so cute I always want them on screen. Also kudos for Moon So Ri's fun character, Jjang!

7. L.U.C.A.: O Começo
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Super, duper high potential. The plot is refreshing and new. The casts are badass. For some reason I can't seem to finish it.

8. O Mito de Sísifo
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Has a really promising start, plot and characters. I even chose to watch this first over Vincenzo. The back and forths of time is a little bit confusing though but thanks to the different setup I didn't have that much of a hard time. The time travel is kinda tricky though, I still can't grasp the idea. But I haven't been complaining much about it though, the main dealbreaker for me is when FL got captured by the Control Unit and ML went to save her. During the blackout FL's still too strong to fight the person turtoring her and she even escaped! only to be unconscious when ML came? I mean, that girl jump buildings from building, can even fight all by herself and suddenly she's unconscious. Dropped reason #2, when ML was fleeing wit FL, President Park was about to kill both of them but ML successfully convince him not to because President Park doesn't have a car? Like whut? President Park even knows beforehand that ML will come to save FL therefore freeing all the other prisoners but he didn't know how to flee from the building itself and he needs a car?????? See? Time travel loopholes there.

9. Passarela de Sonhos
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Skipped watching this drama for a long time since I'm not a fan of the leads. The first few episodes are good though. I like the characters. They were all nice and there were no unnecessary hate-to-love trope, banters and such. They were very supportive of each others dreams. The drama lost me on the time skips and I realize that those few episodes I like were just the premise. No thank you!
