Shows/Movies can be called BL but technically aren't
- They're in no specific order.
- I've watched all of these shows/movies and I have very high standards so take my ratings with a grain of salt.
- Everything on this list has BL mentions or is bromance, but is actually not the main theme of the show/movie.
- I'm not dissing any of these shows/movies. They were still great, but if you're looking for something that centers around BL, these probably aren't for you.

1. Voo Noturno
Korean Movie - 2014
It focuses on a gay character and the conflicts he faces in school because of his sexuality.
-
2. O Amante
Korean Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
BL couple hardly has any exposure. As someone who watches specifically for BL, I found myself skipping through the majority of the episodes just to see some coverage.
-
3. O Efeito
Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes
There are male relations between the main characters, but it is non-consensual.
-
4. Uma Viagem Pelo Amor
Chinese Movie - 2016
A toxic relationship that I wouldn't even call a relationship.
-
5. Uma Viagem Pelo Amor 2
Chinese Movie - 2016
A toxic relationship that I wouldn't even call a relationship.
-
6. Lição Do Mal
Japanese Movie - 2012
There is a BL couple, but the main focus is a school shooting. It's basically just torture and everyone dying.
-
7. Lychee Light Club
Japanese Movie - 2016
Overall, this movie felt like a fever dream. There was a BL couple? I don't know if you would call them a couple, but it felt like it was out of place in relation to the rest of the movie.
-
8. The Tenants Downstairs
Taiwanese Movie - 2016
There is a BL couple that is part of the side characters, but the movie's plot is interesting so if you watch specifically for male character interaction, you won't be bored while waiting for the BL couple to appear.
