I recommend Story of Yanxi Palace for my mother. Unfortunately, she don’t like subtitles. But I think the show is exiting, realistic and got a strong leading role.

Sorry, getting exited. Maybe because my mother don’t like it 😂. But if you say revenge and birth secret, show her the secret of three kingdoms after minglan. It’s a little bit slower but is also exiting, good male and female lead.
