The Ingenious One Season 2 cast give a glimpse of their characters

The Ingenious One Season 2, starring Chen Xiao, Mao Xiao Tong, Cheng Xiao, and others, has given a glimpse of its cast in their respective roles. The production team recently held a launch ceremony, marking the start of full-scale filming.

Subsequently, each of the main actors shared posts such as character pics and behind-the-scenes videos.

The Ingenious One follows the elegant young man Yun Xiang (Chen Xiao) carries the mission from the Yun Tai sect and the hatred for the extermination of his clan as he steps into the blood-soaked world of martial arts. Amidst the surging undercurrents, Yun Xiang skillfully reads people's hearts and plots his strategies, unexpectedly befriending the spirited Shu Ya Nan (Mao Xiao Tong), the noble young master Su Ming Yu (Tang Xiao Tian), the gentle scholar Ke Meng Lan (Xu Ling Yue), and the quick-handed swordsman Jin Shi Liang (Liu Guan Lin). Together, they grow and transform amidst the turbulent conflicts of the martial arts world, gradually unraveling the fog of the past and ultimately upholding the righteousness of the world. 

The C-drama is adapted from Fang Baiyu's series of novels "Qianmen." With its blend of elements such as martial arts, business warfare, suspense, and themes of patriotism, along with a high-level aesthetic style that reflects ancient traditions, it has received widespread acclaim. The series holds a Douban rating of 7.4, with over 100,000 reviews.  

First up is Cheng Xiao. As a former idol turned actress, Cheng Xiao not only possesses impressive visuals but also shows exceptional acting talent. She has made significant strides in previous costume dramas.

Next is Liu Xie Ning has left a lasting impression with her exceptional handling of strong character portrayals. This time in The Ingenious One Season 2, she unveils a brand new heroic female look, wielding a long sword. 

And then there's Li Yi Tong, well known for her soft looks. Her participation in a martial arts drama raises expectations for her performance. 

Not to forget, the C-drama also has Mao Xiao Tong from Season 1. Often referred to as the "chosen one" for the character Kou Lian Yi, Mao Xiao Tong not only unveils a new look in this season but also brings a more dynamic presence to her role.  

In addition to the female lineup, the male cast consisting of Chen Xiao, Liu Guan Lin, Wang Jin Song, Fan Shi Qi, and Tang Xiao Tian promise immersive performances.
