So Ji Sub will possibly be in the K-drama scene in 2023 as well.
On February 7, media outlets reported that So Ji Sub has been picked to be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama "Plaza Wars" (working title).
So Ji Sub's agency 51K Entertainment responded to the reports through the media outlet OSEN. According to the company, So Ji Sub did receive the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama. The actor is still reviewing the offer and nothing has been confirmed yet.
"Plaza Wars" will base its story on the webtoon of the same name. It will tell the story of two organizations that will battle against each other for supremacy in Seoul in front of the National Assembly President's Square in Yeouido.
There are no details revealed yet about the broadcast network, release date, and other actors that will be joining the new series.
So Ji Sub made his grand comeback to the K-drama scene last year after getting married. He starred in the 2022 K-drama "Doctor Lawyer" with Shin Sung Rok, Im Soo Hyang, Lee Joo Bin, Lee Dong Ha, and Lee Kyung Young.
He also starred in two films last year. He was part of "Confession" and worked alongside Kim Yoon Jin, After School's Nana, Choi Kwang Il, Hwang Sun Hee, and Hong Seo Joon. He also joined in the star-studded film "Alienoid 1."
So Ji Sub made his acting debut in 1996. He is known for being part of the series "Model," "Delicious Proposal," "We Are Dating Now," "Glass Slippers," "What Happened in Bali," "I'm Sorry, I Love You," "The Master's Sun," "Oh My Venus," "Terius Behind Me," and more.
In 2020, So Ji Sub announced his marriage to the TV presenter Jo Eun Jung.
