Netflix has confirmed the release date for Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 as September 27 and unveiled character posters and a teaser.
Season 1 of Gyeongseong Creature was set in the dark times of the spring of 1945 and told the story of two young people confronting monsters born out of greed.
If Season 1 vividly portrayed not only monsters born from greed but also humans who were more monstrous than the creatures, Season 2 shifts its backdrop to Seoul in 2024.
In Season 2, set in Seoul in 2024, Chae Ok (Han So Hee), who survived the spring, along with Ho Jae, who bears a striking resemblance to Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon), will continue her fight against monstrous humans.
Ho Jae's poster (Park Seo Joon) piques curiosity about why he shares such a similar appearance with Tae Sang and what his true identity is.
Chae Ok's poster (Han So Hee) leaves viewers wondering how she survived the fateful attack (at the end of Season 1) and what she has endured over the years.
Additionally, the introduction of new characters, Captain Kuroko (Lee Moo Saeng) and Seung Jo (Bae Hyeon Seong), further heightens expectations for Season 2's story.
Captain Kuroko leads the elite agents known as the Kurokos, operating under secretive orders, and devises covert plans within the laboratory of Jeonseung Pharmaceuticals. Whereas, Seung Jo is a person who pursues Ho Jae and Chae Ok.
Gyeonseong Creature Season 2 will be released on September 27, only on Netflix. Watch the teaser here.
