Han Hyo Joo and Japanese actor Oguri Shun are both confirmed for the upcoming Netflix original series Romantic Anonymous

On May 31, Netflix officially confirmed the production of Romantic AnonymousThey also unveiled a group photo of the cast of the drama including Han Hyo Joo, Oguri Shun, Nakamura Yuri, and Akanishi Jin.

Romantic Anonymous will base its story on the French Film Les Émotifs anonymes which was released in 2010. It will depict the story of a man and a woman who fell for each other because of their mutual love and interest in chocolate. The twist is that the man and woman both suffer from anxiety disorder. The man can't physically touch others while the woman is afraid of eye contact making their relationship challenging. 

Han Hyo Joo shared her thoughts on joining the upcoming series, "I am happy to star in a collaborative work between Korea and Japan. I am filming with an excited heart just like a rookie actor. I'll do my best until the end to create a good project. Please look forward and show your support to our drama."

Oguri Shun also shared his thoughts, "I received the offer after seeing the clear vision of the plot. I was also excited to be part of a drama with an outstanding cast and crew. I am diligently learning the differences between Korean and Japanese languages to showcase myself better in this drama. I am looking forward to enjoying this project with a great team and to delivering the excitement and thrills to the viewers."

Romantic Anonymous will be released exclusively worldwide on Netflix next year. The cast is currently filming.

Han Hyo Joo will portray the role of Hana Lee in the series. She is a genius chocolatier who suffers from social anxiety.

Oguri Shun will portray the role of Fujiwara Sosuke. He currently works at the popular chocolate store called “Le Sauveur.” Because of his traumatic past, Fujiwara Sosuke's germophobia is intense which hinders him from his job. 

The upcoming Netflix original drama will be the next work of director Tsukikawa Sho who also directed the film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas which became popular in Korea.
