"Mrs. Durian" starring Park Joo Mi confirmed to premiere next month!

The upcoming Coupang Play original K-drama Mrs. Durian will officially premiere this June.

On May 31, it was officially confirmed that the Saturday and Sunday K-drama Mrs. Durian would officially premiere on June 24. 

Mrs. Durian will showcase the strange fate of two noble women from the Joseon Dynasty who will get intertwined with men through time travel to the present time, 2023. 

The upcoming K-drama will be led by Park Joo Mi, Choi Myung Gil, Kim Min Joon, Han Da Gam, Jeon Noh Min, and Yoon Hae Young. 

It will be directed by Shin Woo Cheol (Gu Family Book and Secret Garden) and written by Im Sung Han (Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)).

In the released poster, the main leads Park Joo Mi, Choi Myung Gil, Kim Min Joon, and Jeon Noh Min surrounded a half-moon circle with a strange and dreamy atmosphere giving mixed signals if it is real or just fantasy.

Mrs. Durian will be the next original K-drama from Coupang Play. The series will also be available on TV Chosun.

Attention is rising to what worldview the writer shows in the first fantasy melodrama that she has worked on.

The production team of Mrs. Durian shared, "The new work of writer Im Sung Han which is known as a hitmaker will surely bring thrilling suspense to the fantasy melodrama genre because of its unusual developments and overwhelming settings. On June 24, viewers will be able to meet an unconventional fantasy melodrama that will surely captivate them."

Mrs. Durian will have a total of 16 episodes. 

This will be the follow-up project of Park Joo Mi and writer Im Sung Han after the successful three seasons of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce). The two will showcase once again their chemistry in the new fantasy melodrama.
