Lee Seung Gi shaved his head for the K-movie About Family

Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi shaved his head for his upcoming movie About Family. 

About Family is a family comedy K-movie about Ham Mu Ok (Kim Yoon Seok), the owner of a dumpling restaurant, who is facing the end of his family lineage after his son Ham Mun Seok (Lee Seung Gi) becomes a Buddhist monk.  

The production team released five character posters featuring Ham Mu Ok (Kin Yoon Seok), Ham Mun Seok (Lee Seung Gi), monk In Haeng (Park Soo Young), Mun Seok's best friend Han Ga Yeon (Kang Han Na), and Manager Bang (Kim Sung Ryung).  

For About Family, it is reported that Lee Seung Gi unhesitatingly shaved his head for the role of monk Ham Mun Seok, whose life as a monk is thrown into disarray due to karma of his actions from the past.  

Lee Seung Gi actually shaved his head for filming. As a result, he appeared with a shaved head at an award ceremony and had short hair during his wedding to his now-wife, actress Lee Da In. 

About Family will premiere on December 11.
