Friendly Rivalry is a mystery thriller that follows a group of teenage girls in a cutthroat survival competition, even fiercer than college entrance exams.
The leads are Lee Hye Ri, Jung Soo Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri. They will portray the teenage girls who support and suspect each other at Chae Hwa Girls' High School, where only the top 1% of the society enroll.
It was previously revealed that actress Lee Hye Ri chose Friendly Rivalry as her comeback drama, returning to the screen after three years. She will take on the role of Yoo Jae Yi, a genius high school student who doesn't miss the top spot at Chae Hwa Girls' High School. She is perfect in looks, grades, and family background.
Actress Jung Soo Bin will play the role of Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who receives special attention from Yoo Jae Yi. She is a character from a local orphanage who becomes obsessed with academics and grades to survive at Chae Hwa Girls' High School.
Additionally, Kang Hye Won will take on the role of Joo Ye Ri, the gossip queen at Chae Hwa Girls' High School. She is a character who values how others perceive her and is obsessed with looks and luxury goods.
The character of Choi Kyung, who believes that, despite her efforts, she cannot rise to the top spot due to Yoo Jae Yi and will always be in second place, will be played by actress Oh Woo Ri.
Friendly Rivalry is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025.
