Netflix has officially announced the production of the animated feature film Lost in Starlight, and on August 16th, it revealed the news that renowned actors Kim Tae Ri and Hong Kyung, who co-starred in SBS hit drama Revenant, have been selected to lend their voices to the project.
Lost in Starlight is an animated movie that unfurls a long-distance romance between Nan Young, an astronaut, and Jay, a musician. Kim Tae Ri, celebrated for her standout performances in films like Space Sweepers and Alienoid 1, takes up the challenge of voice acting by assuming the role of Nan Young. Nan Young is a scientist and a selected astronaut for the 4th Mars Exploration Project in 2050, who wants to go to Mars to find traces of her mother, also an astronaut, who failed to return to Earth from a Mars probe due to an accident.
Hong Kyung takes on the role of musician Jay, who falls in love with Nan Young. Jay, who also repairs retro sound devices, has an accidental encounter with Nan Young and reunites through a turntable, her mother's memento.
The coming together of Kim Tae Ri and Hong Kyung, who previously garnered attention with their performances as a possessed woman and a detective tracing mysterious deaths in Revenant, further add to the excitement surrounding this animation.
