Ahead of its release, the action-thriller The Childe got its character posters unveiled, featuring Kim Seon Ho, Kang Tae Joo, Kim Kang Woo, and Go Ah Ra.
On May 23, the highly anticipated movie The Childe treated audiences to four character posters, providing a glimpse into what's coming ahead.
The Childe is a story of a struggling boxer, whose father is of Korean descent and whose mother belongs to the Philippines. The young man, whose mother is now sick, comes to South Korea to find his father, only to encounter dangerous and powerful forces chasing him.
The recently unveiled character posters intricately portray the entwined destinies of Marco and others, each with their own complicated story.
The first poster features Kang Tae Joo as bruised and wounded Marco. The text on the poster reads, "Who are you? Why is this happening?", indicating his desperate situation, provoking curiosity about the arduous struggles he must endure to survive.
The next poster is of Kim Seon Ho playing the role of Gwi Gong Ya. He is shown carrying a gun, and his slight smile intrigues the audience as he brings a sense of impending chaos surrounding Marco. The text on his poster reads, "I've never missed a target before," hinting at his ruthlessness and sinister demeanor.
The next poster is of Kim Kang Woo, who will be seen as Han Yi Sa - a wealthy conglomerate heir relentlessly pursuing Marco. His fierce gaze, coupled with the text, "Jump zigzag. It reduces the chance of getting shot," heightens anticipation for his performance.
The last character poster features Go Ah Ra in the character of Yun Ju, a woman who coincidentally reunites with Marco in Korea after first encountering him in the Philippines. The text on her poster, "I'm just doing my job", increases the anticipation for the gripping tale.
The Childe is slated to release on June 21.
