Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin, and Kim Eui Sung will reportedly reunite for Taxi Driver Season 3!
The official cast of the upcoming movie Sad Tropics (literal translation) has been revealed.
On October 7, media outlet The Fact shared that Kim Myung Min, Lee Shin Young, and Park Yoo Rim will lead the upcoming movie. It was also reported that Taiwanese actors Austin Lin, Edison Wang, and Chen Yi Wen will be part of the cast. The reports also stated that the cast is currently filming in Thailand.
Sad Tropics will be the next work of director Park Hoon Jung. He is known for creating the works The Tyrant, The Childe, Night in Paradise, The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, and more. The film will be distributed by Mindmark.
The new film follows a group of children raised by a powerful ruler in a rainforest. These children belong to a mysterious organization known as "Sad Tropics." After a tragic event, the ruler vows to protect them and seek revenge for their lineage.
There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of the upcoming film.
Kim Myung Min will play the ruthless ruler of a rainforest who trains abandoned children as killers. This will be the grand comeback of the actor to the big screen. He last starred in 2019 through the movie The Battle of Jangsari. Kim Myung Min will also lead the upcoming series Double Spy,
Lee Shin Young will portray the role of the youngest member of Sad Tropics who lost his ability to hear. This will be the second upcoming movie project of the actor. He will also join the cast of Sprint which will be led by Ha Seok Jin, TWICE's Kim Da Hyun, Lee Soon Won, and Yoon Seo Bin.
Park Yoo Rim on the other hand will portray the role of JoJo who entered the jungle on her own. This will be the next upcoming movie project of the actress. She was last seen in the Netflix original film Ballerina.
