Hwang In Youp will make a cameo appearance in Kim You Jung's new K-drama "Dear. X"
Jin Ki Joo is officially confirmed to lead the upcoming MBC K-drama Undercover High School with Seo Kang Joon.
According to various media outlets on June 18, Jin Ki Joo will be one of the main leads of the upcoming MBC K-drama Undercover High School.
This will be the follow-up K-drama project of Jin Ki Joo after the Disney+ ongoing K-drama Uncle Samsik. She is currently starring in the Disney+ series with Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, Seo Hyun Woo, Oh Seung Hoon, and more.
Jin Ki Joo will also join the upcoming film The Land of Happiness with Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Sun Kyun, Kang Mal Geum, and Choi Won Young.
The actress has impressed viewers with her performance in the K-dramas My Perfect Stranger, From Now On, Showtime!, Homemade Love Story, The Secret Life of My Secretary, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and more.
The upcoming K-drama will be Jin Ki Joo's return to MBC after two years. Her last appearance on the network was in the 2022 K-drama From Now On, Showtime!
With the confirmation of her casting for Undercover High School, many are already anticipating her return to comedy as well as her chemistry with actor Seo Kang Joon.
Undercover High School is an action comedy K-drama that will showcase the life of Jung Hae Sung who hid his identity as a National Intelligence Service agent and goes undercover as a high school student.
Seo Kang Joon will portray the role of Jung Hae Sung, the NIS agent turned high school student. On the other hand, Jin Ki Joo will portray the role of Oh Soo Ah. She will be the homeroom teacher of Jung Hae Sung who will go undercover as a high school student. She is a Korean history teacher at the prestigious school. She has a strong personality with great love and concern for her students.
Director Choi Jung In (Knight Flower and On the Verge of Insanity) and writer Im Young Bin (Bad Prosecutor and Sketch) will helm the upcoming series.
Undercover High School will air in the first half of 2025 and it will be part of MBC's Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot.
