JTBC's new weekend drama Romance in the House has released stills of Byun Moo Jin (Ji Jin Hee) and Geum Ae Yeon (Kim Jee Soo). It remains to be seen whether these two, whose relationship shattered 11 years ago, can reunite.
Romance in the House is a melodrama where the father, who was cut off by his family 11 years ago due to his multiple business venture failures, returns as the owner of their building. He tries to win back his family, who still harbor resentment towards him.
Moo Jin (Ji Jin Hee) and Ae Yeon (Kim Jee Soo) are divorced. 11 years ago, Moo Jin, who had repeatedly failed in business, ended up losing everything, including their house and store, leading Ae Yeon to file for divorce. After walking their separate paths, the two meet again after 11 years. Unlike in the past, Moo Jin is now an immensely wealthy man. He comes before Ae Yeon to reclaim his position as a husband and father.
Moo Jin, for whom Ae Yeon is the one and only woman in his life, is determined to do everything in his power to reunite the family. Buying the villa where she lives and moving into the apartment above her is just the beginning. He strives to make a good impression in the neighborhood with his wealth, appears wherever Ae Yeon is, and showers her with praise like "You look beautiful today too?"
However, no matter how much Moo Jin tries, Ae Yeon remains indifferent. Having been fooled by him in the past, no sweet words convince her. The stills also show Ae Yeon wearing a stern expression, firmly rejecting Moo Jin.
Whether Ae Yeon's stubbornness will eventually break down in the face of Moo Jin's relentless efforts is anticipated to be a key point of interest in Romance in the House.
