Hwang Jung Eum is confirmed to be in a relationship with a basketball player.
On July 22, media outlets reported that Hwang Jung Eum was recently spotted on a public date with a basketball player. According to the people who saw them, the two were enjoying each other's company despite being in the eyes of the public.
With this, Hwang Jung Eum's agency shared its official stance. The idol-actress agency Y1 Entertainment revealed, "Hwang Jung Eum and the basketball player are getting to know each other carefully. The two met while the actress was having a hard time and this person comforted and got closer to her."
Back in February this year, Hwang Jung Eum officially announced that she had filed for divorce for the second time. She got married in 2016 to businessman and former professional golfer Lee Young Don. The couple had two children one born in 2017 and the other in 2022 after they reunited.
Her separation from her husband early this year became a hot topic after Hwang Jung Eum hinted that her husband was having an affair through social media. It was also reported that the idol-actress lent money to her husband and she still hasn't received the payment.
This year, Hwang Jung Eum led the K-drama The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection with Uhm Ki Joon, Lee Joon, Lee Yoo Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, and more.
