Netflix confirms the release date of "Hellbound Season 2"
Ha Ji Won is in talks to join the upcoming KBS drama "Trees Die on Their Feet."
On April 22nd, reports stated that Ha Ji Won will be added to the cast of the star-studded drama "Trees Die on Their Feet." Ha Ji Won was offered the role of Se Yeon, the same character previously offered to actress Son Ye Jin.
Ha Ji Won's agency hasn't responded to the circulating reports.
"Trees Die on Their Feet" is the collaboration work of director Yoon Sang Ho and writer Jo Seong Geol. The series will tell the story of an elderly North Korean woman who doesn't have much time left and a theatre actor who will pretend to be her grandson to fulfill the woman's last wish.
Ha Ji Won will reportedly play the role of Se Yeon, the granddaughter of Geum Soon (the elderly North Korean woman) who manages Hotel Nakwon.
If Ha Ji Won confirm her casting, she will be working alongside main leads Kang Ha Neul, Youn Yuh Jung, Jung Hae In, and Sung Dong Il.
"Trees Die on Their Feet" will premiere in the second half of 2022. 
If Ha Ji Won accepts the offer, this will be her first drama project for 2022. Last year, she was part of "Dramaworld 2" with Sean Richard, Liv Hewson, Justin Chon, Henry Lau, and more. She will also join the upcoming movie "Portrait of a Family" with Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Shi Ah, Park Myung Hoon, Yoo Jae Myung, and Kim Young Min.
Ha Ji Won is known for being the main lead in the dramas "Chocolate," "Hospital Ship," "The Time We Were Not in Love," "Empress Ki," "King2Hearts," "Secret Garden," "Hwang Jin Yi," and more.
