Girls Day's Lee Hye Ri will be returning to the big screen together with Woo Do Hwan and Jang Dong Gun.

On January 2, media outlet Star News shared an exclusive report stating that Lee Hye Ri will be part of the main cast of the upcoming movie Tropical Night

Tropical Night will be the next work of Kim Pan Soo (The Man Standing Next and Forbidden Dream). The movie will be produced by  Hive and Media Corp, the same producer of the hit films Inside Men, The Last Princess, The Drug King, and more. According to reports, the filming will begin later this month. 

In the movie, Lee Hye Ri will portray the role of Ari. She was a former leader and member of a K-pop girl group. Currently, she works as a pole dancer at a walking street club in Bangkok, Thailand. She will be working closely with Woo Do Hwan's character who will portray the role of a part-time host and they will meet through an event and fall in love. 

Tropical Night will be filmed in different locations in Thailand and they will begin the production this month.

This will be the second upcoming movie of Lee Hye Ri for the year. She is also set to lead the new film Victory with Park Se Wan, Jo Aram, Choi Ji Su, Baek So Hyun, and Kwon Yoo Na

Lee Hye Ri was last seen in the 2022 K-drama May I Help You with UKISS Lee Jun Young, Song Deok Ho, Tae In Ho, Lee Kyu Han, and Oh Dae Hwan.

Aside from being a member of the K-pop girl group Girls Day, Lee Hye Ri is known for her acting in the K-dramas Moonshine, My Roommate Is a Gumiho, Two Cops, Reply 1988, and more.
