Currently Watching: Hana Nochi Hare

Hana Nochi Hare piqued my interest, but I went in with low expectations. There was no way this was going to measure to MY Hanadan, but I am still going to give it a shot. I am soo soo glad that I did. I get excited every time Kaguragi Haruto (played by Hirano Sho) gets excited about Domiyoji and the rest of F4. They live in the same universe I remember, but live their own lives in it. This has exceeded my expectations and if you are a fan of the franchise at all I recommend it.

Spoiler Free Synopsis

It has been 10 years since the F4 and Makino have graduated from  Eitoku Academy and it is now headed by the C5 or Correct 5. The C5 idolizes F4 as they had gotten help from them in the past at various times. Our female lead is Edogawa Oto (Sugisaki Hana) who attends Eitoku as a requirement for a promise made for a family friend, but her father's company went bankrupt, so she is just a commoner with part time job to help support her sickly mother.  What will happen if the C5 find out?

What Hit Me While Watching This

The cameos, the humour, the same, but different feel. This just was not what I was expecting and I am happy for that.  It is following the manga pretty closely which I am reading at the same time.

Watch This As Soon As You Can

It is better than I wanted it to be and I find myself not liking the wait in between episodes. While the underlying core message feels the same the situations and reasons are different. And I can't wait to see who will show up next.
