Choi Sung Eun is in discussion to join Song Joong Ki's upcoming mystery film "Ro Ki Wan."
On January 20, industry insiders revealed that Choi Sung Eun has been selected as the heroine of the upcoming movie "Ro Ki Wan." She will be working closely with Song Joong Ki. It was also revealed that Choi Sung Eun will begin filming for the movie soon.
This will possibly be the follow-up movie of Choi Sung Eun after starring in the 2022 film "Gentleman." Despite Choi Sung Eun only debuting a few years ago, she already worked with top actors such as Joo Ji Hoon, Ma Dong Seok, Shin Ha Kyun, Yeo Jin Goo, Ji Chang Wook, and more. Now, she will be the leading lady of actor Song Joong Ki.
Choi Sung Eun made her acting debut in 2019. Since then, she has starred in several big projects such as "Start-Up," "Ten Months," "Beyond Evil," "The Sound of Magic," and more.
"Ro Ki Wan" will tell the story of a North Korean defector who arrived in Belgium and falls in love with a writer. The film will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jo Hae Jin.
Choi Sung Eun will reportedly play the character named Marie, a Belgian Korean-American woman in her 20s. She is a writer by profession. She believes that it's okay to die tomorrow without hope or a future. According to reports, Choi Sung Eun auditioned for the role.
Aside from Song Joong Ki and Choi Sung Eun, actor Jo Han Chul will also star in the upcoming movie.
The production of "Ro Ki Wan" will plan to leave the country to film within the first half of the year.
