A Match Made in Dramaland - Kdramas Couples of 2017

I'll start this article the same way I did last year's. Every couple in a drama is unique. We rarely come across a drama couple that doesn't fit together. In one way or another there's something that sets them aside, and make them interesting/ enjoyable to watch. That being said, it's also rare that we come across a drama couple that blows away our mind because of their explosive chemistry. So there may be lots of drama couples that we cheer on. But you know those couples, that you become (almost) obsessed with? And sometimes, when you're watching them, the line between reel and real becomes quite blurry, and you end up thinking, "Man, I so wish they'd date in real life!" Yup, those are the couples I'm talking about.
So here are 5 such couples that completely blew away our minds!

#6: HEO IM & YEON KYUNG (LIVE UP TO YOUR NAME)

Is there anything not to love about a male lead who traveled into the future, and a strong independent woman? Heo Im (Kim Nam Gil) & Yeon Kyung (Kim Ah Joong) are a couple that inspire each other to be a better version of themselves. While their relationship had its fair share of cute moments, (like I adored how Heo Im used to follow Yeon Kyung around at first), another reason their pairing was so enjoyable to watch was because of how they both understood each other, and helped each other.

#5: JI HYO & SE HEE (BECAUSE THIS IS MY FIRST LIFE)

BTIMFL is a drama that won many hearts, for it's realistic portrayal of life, relationships and marriage. And one of the many things that will always be remembered by the viewers will be the couples of this drama. Except maybe Ho Rang & Won Hee. Or maybe they will be remembered too, because of how their relationship didn't tun out the way it was expected, much to the bitterness of the viewers. Anyway, getting back to the main point, and our main couple- Se Hee (Lee Min Ki) & Ji Hyo (Jung So Min). A relatable female lead, and an unsociable & somewhat awkward male lead, made up for quite a pairing! While they both came together because of their different situations, they unexpectedly, ended up falling in love. 

#4: BONG HEE & JI WOOK (SUSPICIOUS PARTNER)

While their relationship might have a rocky start, what with Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) mistaking Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) for a pervert and all, it definitely didn't stay like that for long. Bong Hee & Ji Wook had so much cuteness together, even though Bong Hee's actions sometimes were a bit...well, stalker-ish. But really can we blame her? It's Ji (Chang) Wook! Majority of female population would react this way, Jokes aside though, the cuteness level of this couple was pretty high!

#3: EUN HO & TAE WOON (SCHOOL 2017)

Ra Eun Ho (Kim Se Jung) & Tae Woon (Kim Jung Hyun) portrayed wonderful chemistry in the drama. It's no wonder that Tae Woon acquired the nickname Tae Swoon by the fans.

#2: MI YOUNG & JOONG HEE (MY FATHER IS STRANGE)

Since not a lot of people have watched this drama, I wasn't sure whether to include them or not. But among the people who did watch it, a lot of people enjoyed their couple, including me (yeah, I won't say I'm not a little biased), so after much contemplation, I decide to go ahead, and include this pairing on the list.

Joong Hee (Lee Joon) & Mi Young's (Jung So Min) relationship started like any other tsundere guy-candy girl relationship out there, albeit theirs was a bit more subdued than your typical ones. Thankfully, the tsundere phase didn't last for long, and soon enough we got to see a really, really cute male lead! I loved how they both started to trust each other and formed a bond. Of course, given the nature of their relationship, their love path wasn't an easy one. This couple had just the right amounts of angst and adorableness, to keep the viewers engaged.
This one was my favorite couple of 2017! I enjoyed watching them so, so much, which was really strange because I'm not really into faux-incest stories at all. In fact I'm kinda creeped out by them. But strangely enough, I never felt that way with this couple.

Also, Lee Joon & Jung So Min confirmed that they are dating *internal-fangirl-screaming* on 1st January (source), so that's another reason why I included them on the list. They are a match made in dramaland in the most truest sense!

#1: BONG SOON & MIN HYUK (STRONG WOMAN DO BONG SOON)

Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Shik) falls in love at first sight for Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), who was in love with her childhood  friend. It sounds cringy, and yet these two were able to pull it off effortlessly. Both Min Hyuk & Bong Soon together were so freaking adorable, specially their height difference. The drama was filled with so many cute moments!

Whether you enjoyed the drama or not, you have to admit that these two were adorable! Min-Min & Bong-Bong couple were full of charms!

Song-Song couple from  last year's article got married, so you know, fingers crossed! (JK XD)

P.S.  If you think I used the word 'cute' or 'adorable' way too many times, I agree. But honestly, I couldn't think of any better words to describe these couples.
