Hello everyone and thanks for reading the second part of the most popular songs from Asian dramas. You can check out the first part of the article here: Most Popular Songs, part 1, if you haven’t done that yet. It is impossible to include all of the drama songs in one article but feel free to comment and share your opinions. I am sure that you can recommend even more beautiful theme songs :) Here we go!
New Shanghai Bund
"The Bund" by Frances Yip
This is probably one of the most famous Chinese dramas ever. Well, this is a remake from 2007, I think the original from 1980 was even more popular, but the theme song is the same. I know that the Chinese dig historical shows in general, and this one is basically a mixture of romance, action, drama, powerful Chinese bosses and who knows what more. It is interesting and the theme song "The Bund" (上海灘), sung by the diva Frances Yip (叶丽仪), seems so epic that whenever I hear it I imagine watching some kind of a triad movie. Oh well, there is also Huang Xiao Ming, enough said.

"Because It’s You" by Gummy
I am not really fond of this drama, but this song stayed with me long after I finished watching it and it is gorgeous, just like Gummy’s (거미) voice. She is famous for having the beautiful and powerful vocals, so do not miss checking out her discography. This ballad is really nice.
MARS
"Zero" by Alan Kuo
The drama is based on the shoujo manga "MARS" by Fuyumi Soryo and it aired in 2004. The opening theme is "Zero" (零) by Alan Kuo and you can enjoy his mesmerizing vocals in this powerful ballad. I simply adore this drama! The characters are realistic and the theme song is a rockish ballad which fits the drama well.
HORMONES
“Do not tell her” by Bedroom Audio
This is a Thai teen drama that broadcast in 2013. It is famous for featuring controversial issues such as pregnancy, homosexuality and school violence. The theme song (ไม่บอกเธอ) is sung by a Thai band Bedroom Audio and it is an upbeat ballad which is very catchy. I can't stop listening to it. Check it out!
Return of the Condor Heroes
"天下无双" by Jane Zhang
"Unparalleled in the world / Odyssey" by Jane Zhang (张靓颖) is the opening theme of this epic drama, which is a sequel to ‘Legend of Condor Heroes’ and a prequel to ‘Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre’. There are even more remakes and films, because the drama is very popular (I think it’s based on a novel). It is all about wuxia and romance, and the song is as epic as the title suggests. If you are into this genre, then this might be just for you.
ROOKIES
"Kiseki" by GReeeeN
Welcome to the Ikemen paradise. If you’re into sports and hot guys, then this is the drama for you. But what makes it even more special is the theme song by GReeeeN, titled Kiseki (Miracle). It was so popular (and it still is) in 2008 that it was given the certificate for the ‘best selling download single in Japan’ by the Guinness World Records in 2009. Cool, ne?
FIRST LOVE
"Sakura Drops" by Utada Hikaru
Gurl, stop with Utada already, will ya? Easier said than done. How can I stop with something so awesome? "First Love" is a romantic drama that aired in 2002 when the awesomeness of this single was also released, obviously. It has one of the most beautiful Jpop MVs ever done and the lyrics fit the drama perfectly.

"Don't Forget Me" by Suzy
This beautiful ballad “Don't Forget Me” (나를 잊지말아요) fits perfectly the famous Korean fantasy/historical drama. Suzy is also known as a member of the group Miss A. Make sure to check out this amazing ballad with a powerful refrain.
Sokyu no Subaru
"BALLAD" by Ayumi Hamasaki
"苍穹之昴/Cang Qiong Zhi Mao" or "蒼穹の昴/Sokyu no Subaru" OR "The Firmament of the Pleiades" is a Chinese epic period drama that also aired in Japan in 2010. The amazing theme song is sung by the Jpop queen herself, Ayumi Hamasaki and the musical arrangement is the best choice for this drama because of its traditional elements and.
The Master's Sun
"Touch Love" by Yoon Mi Rae
Yoon Mi Rae is a Korean Hip-Hop/R&B artist and her song “Touch Love” is one of the themes of this very popular Korean drama about ghosts. I like the refrain which is very powerful and her voice is amazing.
Devil Beside You
"Ai Mei" by Rainie Yang
"Ambiguous Love" by Rainie Yang is her best known ballad and it is the theme song of this popular 2005 Taiwanese drama Devil Beside You based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Akuma de Souro" (Devil Does Exist) by Takanashi Mitsuba. Rainie is also the main female character. I love the song because it is so nostalgic and beautiful, I wanna cry whenever I listen to it.
