Take It Like a Man
http://sd.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/i/keep-calm-and-take-it-like-a-man-4.png

One of the uncommon things one would find in Dramaland when it comes to female characters are those that are willing  to stand up for themselves or how should I say this……….- be someone that would quicker kick a robber where it hurts than to stand up and scream for help.

Or one that would go after the guy instead of waiting to be wooed, those kind of characters, you know what I mean right?? Not to say I am a raging feminist but it is rare to find female characters that will stand up and decide to not be trampled with and actually do something about it.

I don’t know about you readers but they just seem more real to me.

So I am taking the time out to appreciate those bad ass main and supporting characters that I can’t help but feel proud of.

Let’s hear it for some if those not so typical dramaland female characters.

Que Sera, Sera's  Han Eun Soo  played by Jung Yu Mi

Lol this character was something else it was honestly the first time I had seen one like her. She was persistent the very end. Always stood up for herself and fought  through the bad times and never took in justice towards her

Romance Town’s No Soon Guem played by Sung Yu Ri

Ok so this character stood out to me because she knew what she wanted from the very beginning and went for it. She always stood up for herself and didn’t always depend on others for help.

Unexpected You’s Cha Yoon Hee played by Kim Nam Joo

Talk about your independent woman. This woman just had control and she knew it.   Lol she wore way more than the pants.

Protect the Boss’ No Eun Seol  played by Choi Kang Hee

All she wanted was a job but she got way more than she bargained for, she became a secretary, mother, therapist, bodyguard, alarm clock and so much more. However she did it extremely well.  Well I think so at least. Plussss She always stood up for herself.

History of the Salaryman’s Baek Yeo Chi played by Jung Ryeo Won

Even though all the other things were going on in the drama I just loved her. I don’t know if it was her foul mouth but she was just awesome to me. Plus she fought for what was rightfully hers and didn’t take what any one said just lying down, in the end she proved them all wrong.

King2Heart’s Kim Hang Ah played by Ha Ji Won

Ok so how often to do have a soldier becoming the Queen of Korea. This woman was just bad ass! That’s all that needs to be said.

Wild Romance’s Yoo Eun Jae played by Lee Si Young

First of all let’s hear it for Lee Si Young.  This character was tough and that became her charm. I feel her tomboyish-ness was well played and her mannerisms just made her character feel real to me. She shows all the sides I’m sure every girl wishes they could show at least once. Plus she is funny too.

The World That They Live In’s Ju Jun Young (Director) played by Song Hye Kyo

So this character stood out because of her determination to full fulfil her dreams. Plus I liked that she didn’t let her personal life interfere with her work.

City Hunter’s Kim Na Na played by Park Min Young

I just like that she is tough, and smart. Working for the secret service and all…… I find that totally awesome. Plus she didn’t let all her personal family problems stop her from living.

Secret Garden’s Gil Ra Im played by Ha Ji Won

Here we have another tough action fighter. I mean she just screams cool.

The Best Lee Soon Shin’s Lee Yoo Shin Played by Yoo In Na

I felt that she was one of the only sensible people in the whole drama - without a doubt my favourite character because she stood up for herself and her family even if she was made out to be the bad guy or came off as a little conceited or jealous.
And even though she misplaces her anger at times she means well and defies all stereotypes of the average Korean woman.

She Is Wow’s Ji Ban-Il (the maid) played by Lydia Park

Now the role this character portrayed was a hardworking mother who is working in a different country in order to support her children. But she is actually... ummm yeah I will not reveal any spoilers. Even though she turned out to be a little crazy in the end. She had her goal and she accomplished it almost flawlessly.

These are just a few that I’ve gotten to know. I’m sure there are more hidden somewhere out there. Is there any I missed out? Let me know…
