It was shockingly enjoyable
It has been a while since I have watched a Filipino series, my last one being in August, and it was the 2021 series 'Love Beneath the Stars.' So, I was a bit sceptical in watching this. But I must admit that it surprised me in the end.Is it the best Filipino BL series out there? No, it's not. It does have some flaws. BUT! And hear me out on this one. But it was a bit different. I have watched numerous stories between a human and a ghost, yet this one was somewhat different, yet similar. They met at a party. Jack didn't realise Magic was a ghost until later. Jack was doing everything in his power to get Magic to cross into the afterlife. He found out the secret Magic was keeping from him. They were able to resolve it, and Magic was able to move on.
Something happened in the ending that is understandable why people may not like it. But I believe it's a better ending than some previous endings that I saw where the person just lived out their life and met with the ghost in the end for them to be reunited. It may not be an outstanding series, but it was still enjoyable, and it is also an easy watch.
You can watch this for what it is—a cute, quick web series.
P.S. - Saying this now, so people don't have to ask. No, Chukchuk isn't in this web series.

Fun, Romantic, and Charming
It was a fun ride. Each actor contributed a special charm to the series. Cartz Udal as the vibrant and unusually interesting friend, Aning. Mac Alonzo as the alluring and handsome Magic, brimming with sex appeal. Larence Brenches as Jack, who emanated the aura of a charmingly handsome young prince. And Leilani Kate Yalung who portrayed so well both the gruesomely terrifying Gina and the innocently beautiful Gina.In the last scene together...of Jack and Magic...when they are standing by the piano, the music was hypnotizingly ethereal. It was so beautiful that when the episode ended I went back to that scene and replayed it over and over again.
Although it would be nice to have a Series 2 with Wizard and Jack, I think that it would only detract from the original love story of Jack and Magic. Sometimes it's best to leave a beautiful piece of art be as it is...without trying to replicate it or add to it. It shines brilliantly in and of itself.
As an avid BL fan of Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese BL series, would I recommend this one? Although it lacked the sophistication of the more recent continental Asian BL's , it made up for this lack of an unlimited budget sophistication by exuding fun, romance, and charm in an offbeat and sometimes campy fashion.
So...my answer is Yes. Absolutely yes

spooky/campy/romantic
Overall: the dynamic was good but I'm neutral on the ending. 7 episodes about 15 minutes each. Aired on Regal Entertainment YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7SneaZWMW0pKKXwXHp9rjxF-KSh9m5CpContent Warnings: death, grief, manipulation
What I Liked
- dynamic between the leads
- caring/sweet moments
- chuckled a few times
- good dream
- non cliche female character (the ghost)
- blooper reel at the end of ep 7
Room For Improvement
- the pace could have been tightened at some places, for example I'd suggest starting episode 1 at 3:15
- an abrupt transition from night partying scene to both of them shirtless
- that peck needed to be a little longer
- not a fan of the ending though it's about what I expected
