The most beautiful bundle of complexity in GL media by far.

Let me first start off with the writing. Despite initial concerns with the problematic novel it's based off of, the writers did a fantastic job in making up for the flaws of the book in the series. The necessary changes made, the pacing of the plot, and the flow of the story all contributed greatly in cementing this show in my heart as one of, if not the best GL I've watched so far.

Now let's get into the acting. Namtan did a heck of a job differentiating Oom from Ai. It genuinely felt as if they're acted by different actresses by how well she played the two characters. Film was a natural. She played the role of a woman who is blind perfectly, and at times it was scary how real it felt. But that's just how well she embodied her role. Not only this, she really has this natural artist's ability to capture your attention and be enamored by her acting that just gets you in the feels. NamtanFilm is by far the most balanced GL tandem in terms of acting. They match each other's amazing acting ability, making it easy for viewers to feel what they intended for scenes to elicit.

For my most loved part of this show: its complexity. Characters are extremely flawed, morally grey, and realistic. Yet, the writers did not fail to bring out the humanity beneath these characters to make them appeal to the audience's hearts. Its themes are also extremely heavy yet are handled and tackled well enough to not make it problematic. This balance was what made the show more engaging, enjoyable, and memorable. Especially with Jan, Pang, and Pim's love triangle. It was a whole lot. Although their story was not quite deepened and not dwelled enough for there to be any attachment felt by the viewers for them, it just goes to show how bold and complex Snap25 went with Pluto.

Additionally, the fact that a lot of redemptions happen in this show makes it a relatively easy rewatch despite its heavy themes (Episode 11 angst was way too much for my emotional self though so definitely except it). I'm not a fan of rewatching at all, but Pluto is one of the few shows that I would willingly rewatch for the feels alongside Reverse 4 You.

No doubt in my mind this is going to be GMMTV's best GL show for quite some time.

When eyes speak more than words

This my first GL series and I am not disappointed .

The story is so good and unique with super gorgeous two female leads . May who is a blind girl , tries to take care of her love everyday . And Ai -oon is a badass but soft hearted person who tried to fulfill her sister's wish . She accidently discovered she herself also likes Oom's girlfriend May and then they started a new journey .

I was waiting for a good series and finally I have found it . Don't think second time you should watch it or not . Just try one or two episodes , you will understand . Excellent visuals , cinematography with a bit of mysterious story plotline .

9.5/10 for me . You will not feel regretful .

I Wanted to Like This Series But Not Invested

I wanted to like this series, but overall I just couldn't get invested in the story. I do think that the lead actresses are talented. It's just that the story itself didn't grab me like I expected it to.

Despite that, I thought that the series started out strong. When Ai meets May for the first time, it pulled me in immediately. Ai is amazed, but also confused by May since her existence was kept a secret by her sister Oom. How can Oom be so cruel and cheat on May? How could May love Oom this much? So many emotions passed through Ai just through expression alone with her trying to understand her sister's secret double life and stepping into that role pretending to be her.

I expected the drama to follow this narrative path with Ai discovering more about her sister through her things, her writing, and her history and trying to piece together Oom's perspective to learn to understand her side. I wanted to explore this complicated relationship between both sisters and their grandmother.

But what happened isnt what i expected. It takes a side step to all that, then remembers to sprinkle in some relevant flashbacks of her sister and grandma here and there which felt like an after thought. Eventually the show comes back to it in episode 11, which culminates to a showdown between both sisters. I think ep. 11 was well performed by the lead actresses. But, despite the performance, I still couldnt connected with the emotions to the story because I think the lead up to it was weak.

So what did the show do instead leading up to the episode 11 performance? The show sidelined this compelling and complicated family drama. They threw in a fluffy honeymoon phase of Ai falling in love with May despite Ai still pretending to be Oom. I have my issues with both Ai and May, but I recognize that they arent without flaws. No one is so I won't harp on it here. And the lead up to ep. 11 becames more about a court case drama involving Ai and her motorbike group of friends. These are friends Ai would stop at nothing to fight for as the show implies in flashbacks. But, not enough time was established to give emotional weight to these friends. Ultimately this whole court case drama was simply thrown in to use her friends as a device to add further challenges to Ai and May's love story. Her friends arent given enough time to become real characters. Yet the show wants you to care when I think they failed to do that (at least for me).

I eventually got bored watching the show. There are filler scenes that I didn't think were necessary. Like the whole jealousy sequences with Ploy (just to name one example). There was nearly a 20 minute back and forth tension of who gets to buy takeout for May. Ai scrubbing dishes to pay for the takeout to compete with Ploy and the standoff between the two vying for her affection at the dinner table. Filler can be fine. Fillers that run too long is what I had a problem with. There were many instances like these where I switched to 2x speed to get through it.

The show also relies heavily on flashback sequences to tell May and Ai's backstory. Present day romantic moments, at times, turned into a music video complilation of romantic moments between May and Ai which for me I didn't find compelling. I wanted to see more moments between them that they could claim as their own in the present day and in real time. Those romantic moments either end up being flashbacks to their past or start out cute and end up with the "ghost" of Oom's presence constantly invading Ai's mind. It includes long pillow talk moments with metaphoric storybook tales that replace truths they cant reveal yet. It also includes the obligatory garnier commerical which I know cant be helped. Or to drop in some GMMTV merch theyll probably sell later on their website which is typical and I can overlook. I was just not invested in their romance. I would've dropped it earlier, but I saw enthusiastic reviews and wanted to give it a chance. I will be sticking with it till the end since Im almost done. I doubt my opinion will change. Will edit if the last episode will significantly change my mind about the show.

Lived up to my expectations

A very well written and consistent story, that successfully captures the essence of a fairytale with its great performances and ethereal music choices. It's not a series that left me speechless plot wise, but it has a very mesmerising atmosphere that just draws you in. Namtan and Film really acted their a**es out without one outshining the other. If anything, they compliment each other so well. The side couple, I didn't mind but I didn't care about either. The acting was good, but the series could survive just fine without that storyline for me.

Overall, it's a show worth checking out if you want to see a good gl or just enjoy romance in general..

Amazing acting by NamtanFilm and a riveting story with morally grey characters

that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Namtan has proven to be an amazing actress in everything she does, she excels. And Pluto was no exception. Ai and Oom were so different. I could tell just by looking at her what character she was playing at the moment. Not just that but she broke me so many times during her scenes. This girl is immensely talented and it's a pleasure watching her. For this being Film's first GL, she did an excellent job too. I was worried she'd be awkward but not at all. Her and Namtan managed to have exceptional chemistry. Didn't sense any awkwardness either. I already knew Film was a good actress but like Namtan she proved it even more with Pluto.
As for the characters I liked that all 3: Ai, May and Oom were incredibly flawed characters blurring the lines between good and bad. It made them more real and made it easier to connect with them. I wish gmmtv made series more with these kinds of characters, so people get more used to them. Instead of instantly hating them.
There were certain parts of the story that annoyed me: like the lies and misunderstandings that lasted way too long for me and could have been cleared up with talking. And the angst in the penultimate episode too. Although needed it felt too much in a series riddled with sadness. Hence why I give this series 8.5/10 the ending also felt hollow which added to my rating at the end.

Gripping Story

I have watched many GLs since the introducrion of GAP but this one is different. It strays from the many GLs that goes with the forbidden love plot, either by the parents or siblings. No this one isn't concentrated on that. The pace is good and the storyline is smooth and the chemistry between the two leads are superb. Granted they didn't give much time for the side stories but it was still enjoyable. I liked May the most and how she didn't hesitate to fight for Aioon. She wasn't gonna let some pesky misunderstanding seperate them. I really want to see another of their series.
All in all, Pluto is a good watch and though I havent completed it, I couldn't help but drop a review. I really recommend it.

Exceeded my expectations

I'll admit it, I wasn't very impressed with the trailer, no, but the series truly exceeded all my expectations.

First off, story wise. I expected equal parts romance and mystery walking into this, they set it up that way in the first few episodes. I didn't get that, but I was still enthralled.
Would it have been nicer to explore the mystery and backstory more? For me, yes, but that's more about me wanting the side characters to have been more fleshed out. Otherwise? You can absolutely tell that the creators took a lot of care in creating an airtight story, where the past confusions, bitterness and anger plays into the present. The reveals in each episode seem obvious in retrospect, there's really only one way it could've played out, and it did exactly that way, but what made it interesting to watch was the characters.

Speaking of the characters, they were complex and red flags for the most part, I mean, I spent some episodes just wondering how on earth they could pull off all the things they did quite nonchalantly. But I'll be honest again, this was as entertaining as it was because they were that messy. All three of them, the leads. And so many side characters, but again, we didn't really get to see a lot of them.
But you still want to root for them! Most of the time, at points I didn't like any of them, but for the most part, you want to root for them. As individuals, as romantic partners, as siblings. They were morally grey and doing things that pushed the plot and their lives to be more complicated, right from the beginning and it's because the characters were written this way, that the story blossomed the way it did.
Let's address the weirdest side couple before we move on though. It was weird. Individually, those characters didn't add much to the plot any way (side characters again), but the love triangle there was somehow weirder than the love triangle between two literal twins and someone they both liked. I'll leave it at that, the absurdity and amazingness of it must be watched to be understood.

Finally, the acting. That's not true, because I did expect some good acting when I started, and I got it. Absolutely. Film and Namtan have good chemistry, they can act well, they pulled off their characters perfectly (Namtan did it twice over, lol), and so did all of the supporting characters.

Pluto truly did exceed my expectations, I did think that the episodes could have been shorter, but that would've meant the story would've been fragmented and hard to understand. At the end of the day, it was fun to watch and I genuinely enjoyed it.

A Beautiful and Groundbreaking GL Series

Pluto has truly redefined what a GL series can be, weaving a story that is both heartwarming and deeply impactful. As a usual watcher of this genre, I can confidently say this series has set a new standard for storytelling, character development and emotional depth. The show also takes on the powerful and nuanced theme of living with disability, delivering a portrayal that delivers good social impact in the community.

The TV adaptation has significantly improved the novel plot, not just focusing on romance but on personal growth and overcoming adversity. The show tackled the hardships of disabled person, showing honest storytelling. The plot is both engaging and unpredictable, making for an emotional rollercoaster that keeps you invested.

The actresses are EXCEPTIONAL. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and their performance elevate the material to new heights. Both are incredibly talented. And of course the OST! Every soundtrack is so good and I keep on repeating it. Also, it's the first time for me to learn Thai song just because of Pluto!

The romance in Pluto doesn't feel forced or rushed. Instead, it's a slow burn that builds on mutual respect, understanding and shared vulnerability. It's rare to see such well-crafted GL relationships and Pluto really shines here by focusing on the inner strength and emotional bonds between the characters.

Without a doubt, Pluto is the best GL series I have ever watched. If you are looking for a show that offers something deeper, Pluto is absolutely worth your time. It's a beautiful, emotional journey, and I can't recommend it enough!

Complex and dramatic GL that delivered!

This was an absolutely beautifully done GL, with complex characters and emotional storylines. I love Film and Namtan, and was super excited to see them act together and they delivered on the roles. They managed to tackle real-world issues like disability access and homophobia, while still being able to focus on building a romance between the characters. My only complaint with this one would be that it did feel like a lack of honestly between the characters caused a lot of the later issues, but overall it was a great watch and it makes me even more excited for GMM's future GLs.

Ai and Oom (Namtan) are twins, but polar opposites. Oom is the perfect child, with a good job and an upcoming wedding to her rich fiancé. Ai, on the other hand, is scraping by as a delivery driver. On the night of her wedding, Oom asks Ai for a favor: now that she's married to a man she needs to break up with her girlfriend, and wants Ai to do it for her. Shocked by the sudden news of her sister's affair, Ai almost doesn't agree; however, after Oom gets into a car accident on the night of her wedding leaving her in a coma, Ai feels she should honor her sister's wish. Upon arriving at her girlfriend's house, she meets May (Film), who has recently gone blind. Ai doesn't have the heart to break up with May for Oom, and instead pretends to be Oom and keeps the relationship going. Ai and May start spending more time together, and as her feelings for May grow, so does her guilt.

I was super excited to watch this show, especially after how much I loved GMM's other GL 23.5. I am typically a bigger fan of more dramatic shows, and figured this would be right up my alley. I do think that a lot of themes in the show were already brought up in similar ways in other GMM shows (disability awareness for the blind in Last Twilight, swapping places with a twin in Not Me, etc.) and could have either pushed these ideas a little further or tried to do something a bit more different with them. Regardless, I'm super happy to see GLs finally becoming more popular and am excited to see what Film and Namtan do next!

This tv show is a Titanic

The impression I had was that there was a lot of story to tell but the writers didn't know how to work with it. The ending was empty, rushed, and in many moments it made no sense. The arc of some of them was ruined and I particularly hated how it solved the problem of the main couple. If the series had another 4 episodes I think it would have been very good, but with only 12 episodes I was so disappointed that I won't even rewatch scenes that I liked from the beginning of the series.

PS.: The main actress were amazing and I belive the original plot was also good, but the series wasnt the best

Disappointing

The main plot is very interesting and the intertwining plots create a very good suspense. But there comes a point where the writers get lost in what they will or will not develop and the series loses its shine until it culminates in a terrible ending. Some conclusions are confusing and some characters are disrespected
