Important representation that isn't fetishized or ridiculed

This show made me emotional many times. They show their hardships, some I could relate to and some were things I never thought about (as a foreigner).

I like how they didn't put stereotypes on them like "This is the man and the other one is the woman", which many other shows do with gay couples, even bl.

The MC were very openminded but still said things I don't agree with because they say things they know nothing about (like ftm). I like how during the two months of the show, you can see how the MC progress. They had people outside the show approaching them and explaining what they thought the MC got wrong during the previous aired episodes.

I do not like how they keep saying that the parents of someone who is queer have it so difficult. I think the parents make it difficult for themselves. There are many parents who accept their kids and are proud of their kids' identity. I know it's their culture that the children shouldn't make their parents' life more difficult and that they should respect their parents, but some of the parents are exaggerating. I know they want their children to live a normal life but you can't make them happy by disowning them and ignoring how they feel. The queer people have it much harder in society than the parents, they should realise that.

The show isn't made to have shock value. The cast are very normal people, which I'm happy about and they don't state any political view. The show is only focussed on the queer part of their lives.

I definetely recommend it and I do wish for a second season.

Unconditional Love

Just so sweet and pure. Love this so much
This is real representation, Getting to see their difficulties and share in their happiness and i truly truly appreciated it so much
Not just understanding them but also getting to become more aware of various aspects that i didn't before.
I'm happy they were brave enough to open their lives to us and this will help so many people to be as brave and also hopefully bring understanding and more acceptance starting in Korea
It doesn't happen in one day, it starts with a step and this was a gigantic one and I'm so thrilled to have experienced this.
It got me so emotional (CRIED) on every episode, not like i was sad, it was mixture of so many emotions, happiness, sadness, understanding, acceptance, warmth, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and other feelings i cant explain or put into words
The couples were so open and sincere to the best of their abilities
Also seeing sincere moments with Family and Friends, getting to learn the experiences and the effects on them. So much support and acceptance, even the ones that didn't. We get to the reality and authenticity of their love, The one they had for each other and the love their family had for them.
The hosts were also really great.
I wish i could thank all the couples, hosts and Waave for bringing this to life.
Just Beautiful!
I hope this gets many more seasons, because the world needs to see its all really the same love
Recognition and Acceptance is very IMPORTANT.
No fetishizing or sexualizing, Just pure pure and real love
Wishing the best and only the best onwards for them. FIGHTING!!

PS. This is a must watch xo

Catering to Straight people

This, like His Man, is an important stepping stone for LGBT+ people in Korean media. Unlike that reality show, though, this had a lot of problems.

While I was ecstatic to hear about this show's release, I began feeling disappointed after watching a few episodes. The hosts wanted to open up the public's minds to Queer people, a noble goal. However, in the pursuit of this they often watered down vital concepts (like sexuality and gender) to the point of being incorrect and/or problematic, were more sympathetic toward parents of Queer children than the children themselves (they even said they were equally struggling), handled insults and dismissals from unaccepting parents with kiddie gloves, and failed to make a hard stand against bigotry.

I do get the sense that this was made with good intentions and that the hosts aren't bad people. But I feel like they cared so much about Straight people's perception of the show that they ended up catering to them to a fault. There was this sense that it was up to Queer people to keep trying to convince their family members and bend to make them more comfortable rather than the onus being on those being hateful and unaccepting.

All of this being said, I'm still glad this was made so I could see these Queer people's stories and so that, hopefully, Korea will portray more real Queer people on the screen.

"Love is love"

This was way too beautiful and meaningful to me. Finally korean society is making a development, from now on it can only get better...
Bo Sung and Min Jun I already new them from youtube, they look amazing together and the way they look at each other says everything.
Seung Eun and Ga Ram are so hot, I can't not say it ahahah they're both so beautiful.
Min Ju and Tae Hyun, our beautiful transgender couple, is with no doubt my favourite, everytime they appeared on the screen my heart started to race and I got goosebumps, I love Min Ju too much and her amazing and supportive personality it only makes her cuter. I don't know what to say about Tae Hyun, he was the person who made me cry the most in this show, I never ever saw him as a woman, his soul screams MAN ENERGY and his eyes says how much he needs society to recognize him as a man, I LOVE HIM I trully and deeply love him, he deserves everything good in this world and beyond it <3
Hani, Dong Yup and Seok Cheon did an amazing job, for real I love you all so much and I'm so thankful for all your hard work on this program.
P.S. I really hope my mom will be as compreensive and honest as Tae Hyun's and Ga Ram's mothers<3
