The parent story is Unforgotten Night but the actors are different for this series even though the characters are the same. In all the reviews no one has mentioned this. I was disappointed. It is interesting that they have chosen to cast younger actors . With the subject matter and the fact that Day was the bodyguard for MR. Kamol for many years. Day should be in his 30's. In Unforgotten night Mr. Kim is 27 years old. This story takes place 3 years later. It was established that Day and Mr. Kim went to College together. If Day was the same age as Mr. Kim, he would be in his 30's .It would have been nice to see the same actors that played in Unforgotten night play in this series.

Now I know, this is a different series so it will be interesting to see how the series develops. If you can wade through episode 1 it starts getting better with episode 2. I have hopes that it will continue to improve. If you want a normal relationship then this is definitely not the series for you. I hope to see ITT grow and mature as the series progresses. I will admit that him whining about cake and insisting that Day deliver the cake was extremely annoying and childish. I am giving this series a 6 but i hope as the series progresses that I can improve the score.
I really liked episode 3. It was great to see MR. Kamol and Mr. Kim. This episode was the best so far. The story could use improvement but it is improving with more episodes.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW A BAD FILM-CREW CAN RUIN A GOOD POTENTIAL SERIES

I've said it before. Screenwriters make or break a story. And this one has a LONG list of horrible, messy scripts thay make NO SENSE, in her register.

- Time to admit defeat and acknowledge that screenwriting is NOT for you, Poy. You're probably a great person... but, your scripts are not.

The Director was also a wrong choice... did he even care for anything but the pay check at the end of the shift? ...

The anger in me, watching people blame the actors for this is just deafening. They aren't bad at their jobs. In fact:

ROSSI does a PHENOMENAL rendition of Night, based off his character's manners in the Novel.🫶🫰 Well done!

ART understood the assignment & does a phen job at portraying Gear's overprotectiveness of both Itt & his posessiveness of Night, causing him to be defiant of Day to the point of being his punching bag to gain simp with Night.🫶🫰Well done!

LONG LEE as Day might seem like an odd choice, but he also understood the assignment well, the turbulent balance between violence & tenderness that Day has going on in the novel is like turning a lightswitch, and he gets it on point how it's frustrating for Day when Itt is so very flippant with that switch..

FRANK pulls off the perfect balance of Barking Dog Stupid Bravery & Shaking Mouse PTSD that Itt has in the novel too. Even if the bathroom scene we see totally lacks the subtext from the novel where it is literally from Itt's pov & he could have easily thrown Day off if he had wanted to, but in the novek he let's Day choke him, in case it might bring back his memories... Something the script completely erased, the director forgot to note in & the screenwriter definitely missed.... (It was the tiny smile from Itt just after they get interrupted by Nick) after Day threatens him....

----> Frank and Long pull this delicate balance off really well. It's not Love, it's Fragile Codependency. Stockholm/Lima effect. They understood the assignment better than the scriptwriter <-----


.... and then there's Hearth & Non ...
Why waste such good potential with casual mentions & a few hinting scenes? ...
- Mac is not allowed to leave Nan's side for most of the novels. Seriously where Nan is, Mac is always within eye's sight (as Nan was taught by Day, Who did the same to Itt) ... Mac is allowed his freedom if he obeys the rules and curfews (or else... SA is the only other option, shame on you for that, Nan! Then again, you learned it all from Day...) ... & Mac's defiance is slowly, but surely, diminishing through out the story, and this is ongoing up until the ALMOST BIG FINALE... but NanMac has a novel series of their own, paralell to Love so Brutal, that explains what goes on with them before & after they interact with DayItt's timeline... and that subtext is just NOT coming off the screen (seriously anyone read the novels will know, and anyone illiterate will have zero clue and these TVOnly-illiterates will bully the shit out of the actors with this ignorance of never reading anything)

It feels like the scriptwriter just opened a random chapter in the novel and decided to write that into the script... not bothering much further tham that for anything... it's so bad... same for the guys who edited it and added the sound... wth!?

I know it's Art singing. Phenomenal btw. But the song is abused by the cutting/editing crew.. it does not make a good final product.

To absolutely NO FAULT of his, or the other Actors...

LS2 and Unforgotten Night, are both Perfect examples of what happens when good sourcematerial gets handed to BAD scriptwriters & Directors ... They are both great evidence of how a terrible Producer, Editing & Sounds Crew & a dgaf Director, can RUIN a good potential series...

Regardless of how good of an acting team they collected for it.


I am once again disapointed.. guys, read the novel & find out EVERYTHING that is missing from this terrible script.. So much context just skipped ..

I doesn't matter how good I think these actors are doing (they are the sole reason I am still watching tbh) .. .

This show was ruined by a bad film-crew.

I lost interest, I think

Então, a série não é má como muitos pintam e eu sou fã de Dark Romance. Acho que os atores em si são bons atores e trabalham/exercem o trabalho deles muito bem, deu para perceber as emoções passadas por eles através dos personagens.

O porquê de eu ter parado de ver, não sei explicar ao certo, mas talvez a história que, ao meu ver, não estava tão 'formada' ou com muito sentido e que ao longo dos episódios foi me cansando de estar ali a ver.

Eu sei que a história têm a sua demora e tudo mais e a perda de memória também está envolvido, mas mais ou menos a partir da cena do hospital que comecei a perder a vontade e continuei a ver porque no final podia até acabar por gostar.

Gosto bastante do trabalho dos atores e não é o primeiro BL deles que vejo. Espero talvez conseguir terminar esse e se conseguir, venho e falo sobre.

TRIGGER WARNING.
Not every manga, webtoon, or novel needs to be adapted for tv. This is so cringe. Before getting into the plot just objectively this is not a good show. Without having read the synopsis for the book I first just found everything lacking in the show. No offense to Frank but I expected more. To his credit, Itt seems like a truly very difficult character to play given how incredibly annoying he is. Neither Frank nor Long is a rookie, but really I've been following Frank's career from the beginning so I know he can do better. The characters just seem to lack depth. The production is not good. A lot of the editing decisions were iffy. Chunks of dialogue don't have subs and even when they do sometimes they're so confusing.
Day is so cruel and abusive. All the spicy clips from the show in context are actually giving sexual assault. The preview was giving toxic but it wasn’t until I got to ep 5 that I was like this is incredibly cringey and deeply disturbing. I understood why after reading the synopsis of the book. A lot of people have commented on the first 2 books not having screen adaptations, but truly if this show was done well all of our understanding wouldn't be hinging on having exposure to the other 2 books. And clearly, this is the most palatable (yikes) of the books. I had higher expectations because I wanted redemption after being disappointed by unforgotten night, since they exist in the same universe, but I’m really having a hard time deciding to finish this. Rape is one of my most hated tropes in BL. This show unsettles me.

The Endless Whining of a Bad Story.

The best part was the ending. Because then I could be sure that I would not be tortured further.
Bad dramas bore me. Very bad dramas stress me out.
They should have changed the title to: The Endless Whining of a Bad Story.

The idea is not bad at all. But not well implemented.
The actors were in a race, who is worse?
Dear reader, you don't like what I write? Well, just invent a reason why they couldn't play well. The spaghetti monster drank all the drinks from the actors and so the mood was at its lowest point.
Or you had tickets to a movie theater, bought popcorn, a drink and you wait for the movie, but it just got eaten by Godzilla. Something like that puts the actors in a bad mood, and they really let that show in the movie.

Or you can stick to the truth. Sorry guys. If you don't like your acting partner and can't act that even, then you shouldn't be doing BL dramas. I am appalled and will not change my mind until you do the following:
Stand naked on a bridge at night and stick your left little toe in your right nostril. You sing a song of your choice. You film it and send me the result. Then I'll rate it as a spin-off and take it into account in this rating.

But until then, here's my clear recommendation:
Recommend this drama to those you hate with a passion.
For the rest of you, watch the next Drama!

Hyped for the Potential....but Uber Disappointed

This Thai Drama synopsis had such promise, but was let down by convoluted and discombobulating Story Progression along with atrocious acting by two somewhat well-known actors that I can put the blame on the Director's direction. I had to mentally struggle to hang in there to see if it would get any better as the episodes progressed, but sadly the ending wasn't able to redeem for its multifactorial flaws. Definitely one I would pass if I knew it was gonna be this bad. Even the side couples that were introduced in this series had no impact whatsoever for me in relation to the story and character interactions and development. I'd be a bit more forgivable if this drama was made and released in 2016-2017 since early BLs back then lacked the impact and connection compared to those of 2020 and beyond.

Must read novel

Those who watch series only after reading reviews ,let me tell u all even 2gether have 7.8 rating & kinnporsche have 8.1 rating in MDL , so don't just believe in every rating & review .& Those who find story difficult to understand ,I recommend them to read the novel first . U can find novel's Eng translation on Wattpad .after reading novel ,u surely gonna love this novel .may be series look weak from direction style but in the end u will like it more & more .
& Those who have already read the novel they r already in love & there's no need to watch unforgetten love to watch this series. Watching unforgotten love is just time waste .

A Mess

This show is so freaking messed up i can't even put it into words properly... if it was just toxicity it might have gotten a pass... I mean, you take it as it is... a fictional messed up couple...but my goodness,no. Here, it's straight up violence, SA, insane possessiveness, controlling, kidnapping and public humiliation. I had a disgusting taste in my mouth all throughout and because i am a curious person i went with it as long as i could but i simply can't anymore! No wonder curiosity killed the cat- i almost died watching!
A complete waste of time. What a pity!

Disappointed with the given message

I just hastily went through the book and did not read it completely because it was really off for me. The series was interesting at first. Later when the toxicity begins to overflow I just wished Itt would have a break with Day and have some proper medical help. I don't know why most of the viewers did not notice but Itt is just a tickling bomb with really bad mental health. I don't get his parents either. Without helping their son to get a better treatment they just throw him into the hands of a abuser. I won't justify any of them but the storyline that was offered in series was enough for me to understand, Itt is really a mentally unstable personal. This is the first drama I'm disappointed with the happy ending. They should have end it on better note.
