Começo promissor, mas desenvolvimento entendiante

Eu resolvi assistir este drama muito atraída pela premissa de um mocinho fora do padrão, com ares vilanescos , o que é um tipo de enredo que me agrada bastante. Posso citar Love Better Than Immortality como um exemplo onde o enredo é realmente assim, e os ares de vilão ou mocinho dúbio se mantêm por mais tempo na trama.
Aqui, infelizmente, o mesmo não acontece. E temos um mocinho que muda do nada, drasticamente, sem um desenvolvimento que o leve até isso de um modo convincente. Sua personalidade, dita como imoral e perversa, não dura quase nada, e de repente o que temos é um protagonista bobalhão que só sabe pensar em como conquistar a mocinha. Ela por sua vez não é desagradável, mas é lenta e às vezes um tanto robótica, sempre com a mesma expressão, isso talvez seja explicado por uma atuação mediana por parte da atriz.
Outra coisa que me frustra bastante é o casal secundário. Ele é um escritor renomado e experiente, admirado por muitos, mas é tragicamente reduzido a um cara imaturo que apenas persegue sua assistente e não tem a menor ideia do que fazer para conquistá-la ou se declarar, é outro bobalhão só que ainda mais irritante. Cadê seu enredo como escritor? Ao menos no trabalho ele deveria agir como um profissional, mas não o vi fazendo isso em nenhum momento, ele é todo resumido a Srta. Ye. E, honestamente falando, se eu estivesse no lugar dela acho que eu não ficaria nada atraída por um cara assim.
Enfim, eu só consegui chegar onde cheguei pulando muitas cenas. O drama tem um desenvolvimento muito lento, cenas longas demais onde basicamente nada se acrescenta. Esse drama seria reduzido a 10 episódios tranquilamente.
Na primeira interação mais intensa entre o casal principal, e que já acontece logo nos primeiros capítulos, eu me peguei sendo muito otimista. A mocinha fica chateada com o mocinho após o mesmo pregar uma peça de mau gosto. Foi uma cena que deixou seus ares cômicos para ganhar mais tensão e até um ar dramático. Eentão ele se aproxima dela devagar, com cuidado, num diálogo silencioso para conseguir ser perdoado. Até onde assisti eu tenho essa cena como o único ápice mais dramático que nos prende e nois deixa mais tensos. De resto, é tudo muito monótono e entendiante. O que é uma pena pois a química entre eles pareceu muito boa, mas não foi aproveitada. Faltaram momentos mais tensos, faltou um pouco mais de drama, mais situações desafiadoras que não fossem tão clichês (como o fato de ele pertencer a outra era e um dia, supostamente, precisar voltar).
Talvez eu ainda me pegue finalizando este drama, pulando uns 60% dos capítulos só para ver como termina. Mas até onde consegui, essa é minha avaliação. A trama teve elementos muito promissores, um enrendo que tinha tudo pra dar muito certo, mas isso se perde e é esmagado por um desenvolvimento onde vemos muito pouco acontecendo enquanto muitos episódios se passam. Como diriam os gringos "so boring" kkkkk.
Queria entender as avaliações tão positivas, mas enfim, gosto não se discute mesmo.

Cute and Charming

I am writing this after watching all of the episodes of Mr. Bad. I have been enjoying this light and sweet romcom. This is meant to be a fairy tale . i wasn'tt expecting it to be anything else. I think it will appeal to the young at heart the most . I have seen enough heavy dramas with scheming second female and males trying to break up the main lead couple .. ENOUGH! So this sweet enemies to friends to lovers trope is a breath of fresh air. The hateful reviews tell me they don't watch or read romantic comedies. This story is effervescent with making a wish to fall in love.
Mr. Bad ( CZY)is charming and Shen Yue is delightful as the female lead. Is her character clumsy and silly ? Yes, but it is cute and that is what this actress does so well. She is relatable , not perfect. The male lead is suave, handsome and cunning. Hes a villain with a bit of a kind heart. That is how the author wrote his character in her story. I think they have a Tom and Jerry type banter and thats what makes it fun.
Not everything is meant to be so so serious and HEAVY. If you're looking for a sweet escape and just something to make you smile.. watch this light and fluffy romcom.
Don't try to take it apart scene by scene . It is meant to be a fairy tale ..enchanting..
Don't tell others to stay away from this series. Let them watch it and make their own decision. Would i watch it with my husband ? Not a chance. He would have rolled his eyes too much. Mr. Bad is not for him. But then again he doesn't like romcoms. So you see what i mean. here. I grew up loving fairy tales and this charming little show hits the sweet spot. At least for me.

Don't trust the ones giving less score to this drama.

So this is my first ever review, and i am just glad that i am writing for MR. BAD. What a drama!! I would say this is the best Romcom of 2022 for me. So since this is my first review i would like to tell everyone how picky i am about watching shows. When it comes to watching i never go through others reviews and i just need to get the feel from the cast's acting. If i can't connect to someone' acting i never watch their shows. So i started watching me. Bad some days back and i just finished watching today. This is such a gem of a show. The acting, direction , comedy , romance , music everything is on point. It feels like breath of fresh air. The way this is directed kudos to the director. And shenyue's acting is superb. I can see she has improved so much. And this is definitely chenzheyuan's best work and best role so far. His comical expressions are on point. Guys if you wanna feel good drama to laugh , to cry, to enjoy , watch mr. Bad. You guys won't regret it. AND DON'T TRUST PEOPLE WHO ARE HATING ON THIS DRAMA. THAT COMMENTS ARE FROM THE SHIPPERS OF CHENZHEYUAN AND HIS COSTAR FROM SECRETS. I HAVE SEEN THEM DISSING SHENYUE IN TWITTER AND NOW THEY ARE HERE TOO ???

UNDENIABLE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE LEADS!

To be honest, I'm not a fan of c drama but when i browse to Iqiyi newest drama. I saw this one MrBad drama,
I was surprised that It keep me waiting for the next episode and even bought the express package hahaha.
The female lead Shen yue is so pretty and her acting in this drama fits her role as Nan Xing.
Chenzheyuan is so handsome, he fits his role also as Xiao Wudi.
The chemistry between them is SO NATURAL, especially when they have baby xixi. Looks so real.
OMG i want and demand a new drama for this two.
SHEN YUE AND CHENZHEYUAN chemistry is unbeatable. Indeed a MUST WATCHED DRAMA.

It's fun, but it's not much better than the typical mediocre cdrama romcom.

The Good
⌲ The bickering in the early episodes
⌲ The fluff
⌲ The mom
⌲ Shen Yue's still awesome.
⌲ The basic fantasy story is just nice, especially before Mao Xiaojun's plot is explained in detail.
⌲ No lasting love triangles (second FL dates some rando for a couple of early episodes)
⌲ The "real" ending felt rather satisfying.
⌲ Dazzling smiles everywhere. (and of course, everyone is stunningly beautiful, more so than normal)

The Average
⌲ The comedy (there is very little of it in the last 8 episodes)
⌲ The main romance (questionable chemistry with a very shallow portrayal of romance)
⌲ The second lead couple (I liked their matching misfits vibe, but their plot could not have been any draggier)
⌲ The magic/daoist powers were somewhat underutilized. (Let's look at how nice the summoning thing was in Goblin)
⌲ The workplace felt a bit immersion breaking due to a multitude of reasons. (For example FL's immediate colleges were not really believable human beings, not even for a fantasy romcom and I'm not saying this lightly)

The Bad
⌲ The usual censored "it's just a novel" crap happening after the "real" ending. (it's the last 7 minutes)
⌲ Mao Xiaojun (I feel his story is just a needless complication that's been immersion breaking for me)
⌲ The last 7~ episodes are straight up boring. (I can totally appreciate endless fluff & sugar, but this was too lifeless for me)
⌲ Second ML's dad. (god, that conversation mini flashback during ep23 was just horrible)

I don't regret watching this, but this is the kind of drama that I'll probably never think about again.

Tooth-Decaying Chemistry!

This was an adorable drama. I’m usually not a fan of modern c-dramas (more of the historical type), so I was instantly hooked when I found out that Mr. Bad had a dual-plot (that is, one with historical and modern elements)! The drama was light and refreshing. There were no unnecessary love triangles or crazy misunderstandings. Sure, it did follow some cliches, but these cliches were executed fairly well. And unsurprisingly, that was only made possible by the leads chemistry.

Lord. This has to be the first and only drama where the casting team struck gold with their choices. Chen Zheyuan and Shen Yue, although an unexpected duo, completely swept me off my feet. Their chemistry was undeniable- heck, it practically OOZES off the screen.

However, CZY x SY’s chemistry wasn’t the only thing that had me compelled to watch this show. The characterization for the secondary couple, as well as the other supporting characters, were so tender and enough to make a grown man cry. Characters were well-rounded, adorable, REALISTIC, and the writers even gave us a generous amount of character development for characters that needed them most.

Good things aside, I knocked off half a point because kiss scenes could’ve been improved, since they looked rather sloppy (?), and the ending could’ve been.. how do I say this.. some things could’ve been a bit different.

All in all, the drama was incredible, and I would highly encourage anyone who’s a fan of rom-coms (or if you aren’t, like I am, but who fell in love with the genre again after watching this) to watch this drama! Don’t let the low rating (8.1.. REALLY?) discourage you from watching it. I’d say give it a chance!

Just a side note, but truthfully speaking, I really can’t watch any other dramas where CZY or SY are paired with other love interests anymore. I miss them so much TT

It’s alright.

Honestly, Can’t believe I’m going to say this but I don’t understand the high ratings for this drama. I really thought I would like it more than I did. Did I enjoy it? Sure it’s a fun light fluffy romcom but it sure isn’t the best. The only thing that kept me watching were the leads and how they played off each other well especially with the comedic timing. I’d say their chemistry is evident. As for the rest it was boring and skippable. The SLs were so boring and I didn’t care about their story arc at all. As for the story it’s a mess and all over the place. The drama starts off fast paced then it slows down by episode 11ish and then speeds up again the last few episodes and the dramas episodes could’ve just been finished in 12 instead of 24. I could keep going on with the problems I have with it but I don’t feel like typing it out and making is a full fledged essay.

Light romantic comedy drama

I love this series. It's just light drama series. You will fall in love not only with the characters but also with the actors and actresses who portrayed their characters, mostly Shen Yue and Chen Zhe Yuan. The way they brought their character into the story is the best. I can't stop smiling and laughing at their interaction with each other. And I love how Shen Yue transformed into different characters. She's definitely one of the rising stars in china. You will fall in love with her not only with the way she acts but also with how genuine she is. While Chen Zhe Yuan, is a promising actor also. Hope to see them again in one project.

Don't Expect Too Much From This Cute Fantasy Romcom

Story
- Story is ok. It's cute, it's fluffy, it's lighthearted. It could have been a stronger story.
- The ending was a cop out

Acting
- Shen Yue hasn't really improved .. I thought she would have really good chemistry with Chen Zheyuan but the more I watch the more I feel like she doesn't know how to show nuances in emotions.
- Her chemistry with Chen Zheyuan feels like that of friends rather than lovers..
- Chen Zheyuan is good. He's a good actor. I have no doubt about his acting.
- Second leads have zero chemistry. They were not convincing at all.
- Dong Xuan the mom is good. Rest of the supporting cast is not convincing

Music
- Have nothing much to say about it. The themesong is cute but wouldn't play it over and over again.

Rewatch Value
- Not really gonna rewatch it

the ending thrown me off

So like, I don't know if I just didn't understand the ending or it was TERRIBLE. Like damn , you're telling me that it was all a lie? 23 episodes of 24 were just reading that damn novel and all their cute,fluffy and sweet memories never existed? And that childhood friend,i forgot his name, that "died" saving the fl and fl's dad ,never existed? And the real childhood friend is xiao wudi or what? I just dont understand, overall the drama is ok i guess,its sweet and yeah but the ending really THROWN ME OFF, WTF its with this shitty ending! It would be better with the ending being like
"the fl responding to the question"
FL: It depends on the person if you want to believe in time travel"
or at the time when the reporter asked if its based on true happenings , she could've said "some of them are"
OR IDK , ANYTHING ITS BETTER THAN THAT SHITTY ENDING WHERE SHE'S LIKE "It was all a dream" "it was all a novel" "it was all a lie" I HATE THOSE ENDINGS SM.
I felt this drama was also too predictable , I could smell almost everything that was about to happen. Too much cliche
OH AND , If I didnt understand the ending quite right, can someone explain it to me , please?

Beautiful drama with amazing leads ❤❤

I completed it today...in the first 4 episodes..i already thought..this drama will make me happy..the story of nanxing and xiaowudi is so touching from start to end...what i most liked about this drama is the acting of the FL and ML..they have acted so well in this drama..i laughed so much while watching this drama....and the crying and trauma scenes will obviously make us cry...its very hard to make people happy as well as cry..hatts off to star cast of this drama...i also like the 3rd couple ..they were very cute together...and nanxing's mother is so beautiful and loving..

This drama is adorable.

Chen Zhe (Yuan Xiao) and Wu Di Shen (Yue Nan Xing) Oh my goodness, these two were the cutest couple. They displayed great chemistry and were believable. I loved the couple of Luo Ming Jie (Lu Zi Chen) and Qu Jing Jing (Ye Qing) although their chemistry was not 100% but doable. The writers got the storyline right, it was different from other Time Travel dramas. The only similarity to the others is that the water was the sole source of time travel. I need to see a time-travel drama that doesn't use water. A drama that can pull out my emotions deserves a 10. I didn't pay much attention to the music because I was too focused on the story. You will be satisfied to watch all the episodes... don't skip or you will miss some great parts.
